September 26th 2005, something happened to Chicago. It lost a part of its everyday radio ... one of the best radio shows we've ever heard. 94.7 The Zone. Now, I don't know what it will take to get it back, but I hope that with this petition and all the loyal listeners, people will understand that without that station, Rock will mean nothing to this city. All we ask is for this station to be brought back to radio where it belongs.

Chicago dont want oldies, they want rock. No other station is willing to take the chance of playing new music. The Zone took them chances and we heard music that we never heard before, music that we ended up liking and wanting more of.

The morning shows with Sludge and Brian, the sense of humor them guys had, their taste in music and sports teams, and the news they updated us with. You cant take two guys off the radio that make everybody's morning a good one. Even If its to another station, things will not be the same. What about the other guys and girls on this rock station that made this station #1? They played the music that every other station was afraid to play. You cant just replace Chicago's #1 rock station with an oldies station and people care less about. Its just not fair, and its not right. Chicago has lost its rock roots as far as radio goes and we want them back, that's all we ask.
