It has come to my attention, after the success of the first annual rock concert at SJB, that the staff is not wanting to continue with another next semester. The rock show was a great success that made a good deal of money for the school and should be continued.

THERE WILL BE ANOTHER ROCK SHOW IN THE SHCOOL YEAR OF 2006-2007. AS LONG AS THE PRINCIPLE APPROVES.

I personally feel this rock show was a great success. Seven bands primarialy from SJB went and showed off their musical skill to, for most of us, the biggest crowd we've ever experienced. Also, many tickets were sold in order to raise money for the music department. Making this show semi-annual, would most likely encourage new bands to form and learn a thing or two about playing infront of an audience, while greatly expanding their confidence and musical abilities. This, without a doubt was one of the most attended school events in the past year. If you care about music, in any form, another Rockshow this year would be a good thing.

i just wanted to say that the rock show was awesome, i played in it and it was my first live performance(along with the rest of "the collision") not only was it one of the best feelings in the world but it raised a lot of money for our music program in one night. Don't take this as a hate on sports cause i love/play tons of them but what does that have to do with having another rock show? If anyone knows why the 2 got compared tell me

k so this is sketchy. This rock show got these bands out to do what they wanted, to play music for people, why take away something they like. Dances are held so regularly , and in my opinion not everyone likes them. So I vote that you have more rock shows for people who support local music, you never know where one show can get a band. k thanks

the rock show was soo much fun...more people went to the show than people that go to dances...its just as important for our musicians to have people support them like we have people support our sports teams!

i played tambourine and cowbell in the rock show and it was so much fun, of course it should stay, there is no logical justification to stopping it.

Have another rock show. If you don't want to see a rock show, then don't go. All I know is we made a hell of a lot more money than we would have selling entertainment books or chocolates. It was all profit, almost nothing to pay back. TO ALL PEOPLE SAYING THAT SHE FOCUSES TOO MUCH ON THE FOOTBALL: Simple reason. The grade 11's in the school have grown up in brebeuf watching 2 absolutely unstoppable teams go undefeated and just simply crush everyone. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS EVER HAPPENED AT BREBEUF (I know because I play on the senior team) She makes such a big deal out of it because these past few years have been the only years that Brebeuf has had a football team that has just crushed everyone in their path. If you look back at the history of SJB (football in particular) our teams have SUCKED. So don't blame them for making such a big deal out of the football the last few years....you haven't been here when we've had a ****ty team yet. And again, yes please have another rock show. This time, reduce the number of bands so some bands.................... don't have to cut out their best song for some other bands.................... .......

Wow I was going to read all the comments from before but I read like three and they were all littered with swearing. Just a tip for those of you who like to argue, try to do it in a more sane way, like calm down and type in English not all capitals with a swear word in every sentence. Anyways yeah I go to Saltfleet high school and I came to your rock show as a guest and I gotta say I was very impressed, all the bands were good, especially Zero In. And there were very few audio problems, at most school shows there is a ton of audio problems. Keep these shows running!

I agree with Shannon. All Mrs. Lawlor does it focus on the football. There's more to this school then sports! What about the people who sing or draw? Do they just not matter because they arn't into football or are the wrong sex to play it? I mean, the football players get their own assembly and about two pages in the yearbook, both of which have colour. And what do the other's get? One page, maybe a half of one page, and there usually just black and white. Mrs. Lawlor needs to see that they're are other students in this school, who all have different talents. And like Shannon said; "Sports DONT make the school, the students DO!"

Why don't we tell Mrs. Lawlor that there is more to this school then football and sports... some people have other talents and use them as a release, sometimes you need a break from studies. Sports don't make the school, the students do! Miss you SJB ciao

This was actually something that I wanted to/enjoyed going to. Why not cut down on all the pointless dances that no one likes? MAKES SENSE.

Ok,I don't get it. Why do they way to take away the rock show when it sold more tickets and raised more money then prom...I think that they should take prom, and make 2 semi formals to replace it, because there are only 190 people going to prom. And we sold approz, 500 tickets. I alone was #399. So, I dont get it why they would cancel something that is cheaper for us, yet raises more money for them!

WHERE does it show that rock prevailed over rap? OHH WAIT i know where u got it from. Is it becuz everytime u turn on tv or watch a music awards show, all you see is hip hop and r&b artists? Yes that just proves how terrible the rap industry is. That must also explain why two thirds of the income of the entire music industry comes from rap and r&b artists. "wow, goes to show the intelligence level of some people in the world" .... well put lol. It's almost as if you're dissing yourself!
