I can not belive that a person from that position can speak on that waz. What can Roma expect from another person. I hope that we are living in 21. ceturies, or not?!
That is not insult toward Romanian Roma only, that is insult to all Roma in the world.We have to stop this, supporting each other and no matter where we live.

We demand an apology. Romania does NOT belong in the E.U. so long as RACIST attitudes persist. Your public face is a lie, and your private face still shows that the prevailing attitudes in Romania are still quite racist. You need to do more to eradicate the institutionalized racism in Romania and all of Eastern Europe. Furthermore, you need a leader who sets a better example for the people of his country. No more tolerance for sexism and racism!
We must hold leaders accountable when the media is NOT looking as well. Discrimination of any kind ( ethnicity, gender, class, sexual identity etc.) is not acceptable. Period.
The initial comment would be inappropriate to any woman, in any context, and itself demands an apology. The second remark demonstrates the gulf between stated policy and actual practice -surely it is an issue for resignation?
