R&R&E were a great trio! Who the hell wants Sam Malone and his boring sidekick Natalie?! Big mistake 96.5 and those of you who don't know this Sam Malone is also on the AM station after is show on 96.5. My morning drive is not the same w/out R&R&E.
I was a faithful morning listener of 96.5. Now, I have actually resorted to listening to my CDs on my way to work - listening to Sam Malone makes me fall asleep at my wheel. Bring R&R back!
I have just purchased an old-fashioned alarm clock with a clanging bell that rings louder than a fire-station alarm and jolts me out of bed each morning on the verge of a heart attack; yet I prefer this stroke-inducing clamor to the moronic, self-obsessed drivel of a right-wing fat-head. Nice job, Mix. You and every other obnoxious radio station make me appreciate my CD library more and more. For those of you who would like to hear some REAL music, as well as some hip, sophisticated DJs, I recommend KTSU 90.9.
Put the guys back on the air, you head honcho, insensitive, politically inciting, uncaring boss-types. Are you afraid they have become so popular that you are afraid they will out-negotiate you when it comes to contract time? From what I know, these guys are popular and appreciated and you should probably rethink your decision..........
Sam Malone sucks! I was so glad when he left 104. I thought he was headed for AM radio. I wished he would have headed for early retirement. This is the second time that Clear Channel has done this and yet I found another one of their channels to boycott. Oh well looks like it is time to get XM radio.
I really loved and looked forward to listening to R&R in the mornings. You guys have really made a big mistake letting them go for Sam Malone. Just because he had some fans in Houston does not justify he could replace R&R. Believe me there are plenty of R&R fans, if not more, that are completely disappointed in this horrible mistake you all madee. I have never been a fan of Sam Malone... so I could not listen to 104. Now unfortunately I cannot listen to 96.5 because he is on this station now.

That program director at 96.5 is an idiot. Why in the world would someone replace Houston's favorite morning show (voted by Houston Chronicle readers)with a dork like Sam Malone? I think we need to tell tell Sam "See Ya!"
I listened too. Sam Malone has been doing nothing but staging his phone calls. Most of us at work have tried to call and are not put through. The dimwit has no ability to handle a real call. It is all a sham. I wonder how long he can continue to fake that godawful show. The form letter I got is this isn't gonna sound like his old show on KRBE. They are right, it's even worse. I wonder how much of a kickback that his program manager got for hiring him? I have not heard a single person say how they like the new show. It was a slap in the face to all of us who were loyal fans. Can somebody post a list of clients that Mix has, so we can begin an official boycott? If anybody can get them, I will start a website for the sole purpose of listing who they are and how you can avoid them. Let's get those B****rds back for treating the fans so badly.
CC – You’ve lost me as a listener (MWF, DINK, 36 years old, MBA++). I am amazed at your decision to replace R&R&E with Sam Malone. I understand that you/others may disagree with my opinion and perhaps you have some rationale for thinking Sam can bring in a wider or greater audience. However, it was how you replaced the R&R team and ignored the listeners and the relationship that listeners have with radio personalities that is offensive. Many R&R fans tuned in each morning to listen to R&R. The R&R show became part of our morning routine and as after three years, relationships developed with R&R. Did you not think your listeners would notice the switch, or were worthy of such information. If you are aiming for listener loyalty, why disregard it when you have it? My husband I noticed the quite departure of Kelly Ryan earlier this year. I now assume that her silent departure was the result of similar orchestration of personnel matters that totally disenfranchises your listeners.
Adding insult to injury, it was fairly obvious that the calls into Sam’s show on his first day were staged. After three years of waking up with R&R no one calls into to ask what was going on? The phones were “busy”, but Sam fans could get through?!
I do hope that R&R&E are back on the air soon. I hope it’s not with CC. See ya!
I wanted to puke when I turned on the radio and heard Sam's voice! You've lost a listener, and I hope Ryan and Roula move on to bigger and better things.
The only reason I listened to 96.5 was b/c of Roula & Ryan. Now 96.5 SUCKS! Ever since Sam Malone & his fake laughing assistant has been on the air I've stopped listening to 96.5. You made a HUGE mistake.
Sam went pubic about how he hated to do radio talk shows that interupted his time with 'pop song breaks'... Why is he doing it again, he hates it and we hate him! Bring back R,R,&E!!!!
I think you made a wrong decision to bring Sam Malone to your radio station and to get rid of Roula, Ryan and Eric. There sow brought life back to the MIX when you needed it most. How can you say you are wanting to go in different direction when the listners (remeber the ones who keep you in business) loved them. I hope they find a better company and radio station to work for that will appreciate their talent. Your MIX will never be as great as it once was. They came in and did everything you needed and wanted.
I hate 96.5 from6-9. Bring Roula,Ryan & Eric back. They are funny, uplifting, everything you want in the am. If I anted to listen to Sam I would turn the dial to 740. I now just listen to CD's. Clear Channel you have done nothing but destroy radio. It all started when you got rid of Larry Moon. I go back years of llistening to 96.5....now I do not have a favorite radio station. Thanks alot.
You really blew it - bad enough when you took off KLOL - but R&R?? Come on - Sam Malone is bad enough - but to put Natalie on the air with her fake annoying laugh.. YUCK - reminds me of a stupid girlfriend who finds everything her boyfriend says funny... SICK

The bottom line: Life sucks without Roula, Ryan & Eric in the mornings!! As I can see, CC has pissed off a lot of people! Change always sucks, it ends up hurting someone everytime. What really sucks... is that I can't do a damn thing about it! I feel as if I've been dumped and never got to speak my peace! I will keep my hopes up because I know someone will pick them up again, if they're smart, they will!
It is very simple...after reading the all the demanding pleads to kick Sam to the curb will the you (Clear Channel Station) actually listen to the voice of the people and make a change. Or will our voices go unheard???? This is an opportunity for the station to actually do the RIGHT and listen to the loyal listeners!
....If you refuse to listen to our voice can you at least tell Sam not to say "See Ya" anymore it is quite annoying to hear the same line over 10 times within one hour don't you think?
This was a BAD move. I left town for a week, and the next morning after I returned, I turned on my radio to 96.5 to listen to Roula, Ryan and Eric. I thought there was a mistake, and there is! Roula & Ryan are the best, I looked forward to hearing them. I will not be listening unless you bring them back. I'm going to 104.
Sam is horrible! I gave him a chance, but he did nothing for me. No laugh, no smile, nothing! Natalie? Please! She has got to go! I never thought 96.5 could put the TWO most annoying people together. Besides, weren't R&R voted the best morning radio show in Houston recently? Why would ClearChannel or 96.5 change that up? Why would they even think they needed a broader, larger audience? Doesn't the vote count for something? R&R were obviously doing something right! Come on Houston, lets bring them back to the airwaves!

roula and ryan were the greatest. that new guy, i see from the trails his name is sam, is horrific. sounds like i am at a funeral and it is the most forced, un-original stuff ever. bring them back. any other radio station is better now in the mornings. i even removed 96.5 from my programmed buttons.
I was devastated to hear that Roula & Ryan were gone. But I did honestly did try to give Sam Malone a chance for several days. But it was absolutely unbearable. I would rather listen to silence. There is no better team than R & R. MIX lost another one in their "key demographic".

My mornings are so boring! I don't crack up the way I used to b/c I just don't find Sam Malone entertaining. Where has all the fun and excitement gone? After the show was canceled, I switched to 104 but it isn't the same.

I miss the Roula and Ryan show plus producer Eric so much. It was a huge mistake to take them off the air. please find a way to bring them back on the air. Houston misses them and so do I. I do not like Sam Malone and have stopped listening to 96.5
