We , the undersigned, ask our elected representatives , to seek aid in establishing a high speed internet network in our rural communities , similar to what other elected representatives have done for other rural areas of Newfoundland and Canada. From educational research online to reaching potential tourists and business customers online, high speed services are vital to a attracting and keeping a healthy rural population in our province Advantages made available to business interests , students and private individuals through the use of rural broadband internet services are not available for the Bonavista South region , we seek for this to be corrected.

Apart from the obvious advantages for school children, High Speed Internet will help us to stay in touch with relatives and friends all over the world and also help us to do research for a project on Newfoundland Wildflowers. It can also be an attraction for visitors to the area.

Rural communities require high speed internet just as much as highly populated cities. We should not be forced to take a back seat because we represent a smaller user base.

Because I run a business out of my home and our dial up connection is unreliable, takes forever to upload email and webpages. Makes it next to impossible for our children to do their research online for school!

for educational reasons and because we should not be denied access to high speed internet just because we live in rural communities. We deserve equal opportunities.
