I support this petition. The club has to lift in the Footballing Dept if it wants to retain the large supporter base it has built-up over the past 12 months or so.

I find Ernie to be doing a fantastic job in keeping the game of soccer at bay so we can continue to live in our white australia and play real games like Rugby Union and Cricket.

Anyone who wants him to stay doesn't know anything about Football. First he has been coaching kids for the past ten years and he wants to coach men. I agree that Ernie Merrick is not the best manager in the A-League and i agree with the person who made this petition but i understand ernie merrick is under contract for another two seasons after this season but i dont no y they couldn't pay him wot he is getting but put him number two the assistant to our new coach FRANK FARINA who would the perfect solution to our manger problem. I agree he is not the best coach in the world but how many other a-league clubs have a former national coach as theres? None. He would be by far the best manager in the competition. He is used to pressure and the media and he would be free publicity in to attrackting to new people to watch Victory as he was Australia former coach and everyone well almost everyone would no who Frank Farina is where if u ask out who Ernie Merrick was to people not many no who he is. So to our chairman, Geoff Lord and footballmanager, Gary Cole do the right the right thing for Victory bring in Farina but Ernie Merrick as number two and our assitant at the moment just a coach. You would not have to pay anyone out but bring in Farina and we would then have by far the best coaching structure in the A-League with Frank Farina (Manager), Ernie Merrick (Assistant Manager), and our assistant now becomes a coach.
