We the undersigned send this petition in response to your company's policy of not allowing Salvation Army bell ringers at your stores. We strongly believe that the Salvation Army is itself a symbol of the spirit of the Christmas season and to not allow its bell ringers at your stores is truly against that spirit. We hope our signatures will help you change your policy in this, the Christmas season of giving.

We support the Salvation Army's goals of helping those less fortunte over the holiday season. By not allowing bell ringers on your company's property, you are essentially making it that much more difficult to help those in need this holiday season.

We the undersigned pledge our determination to bring Salvation Army bell ringers back to your establishment. In that effort, we are determined to shop only at establishments which DO allow bell ringers at their properties. We hope your company changes its policy in this regard.

I will never shop at any store that does not allow the bell ringers. Walmart does, & I spoke to a manager to thank him. If we cannot be a bit charitible ,especially at this time or year, we are in trouble ! Are you only profiting from Christmas- with no Christmas spirit ?? Judy

No Bell ringers....I'll shop elsewhere. I agree with Sherri Wright 158. The Bell Ringers are an important part of Christmas.

The Salvation Army, while not an organization that either supports my lifestyle, would still support my LIFE. Regardless of political and religious values, these people would feed me, feed my parents, clothe my children if I fell on hard luck. That is no reason to inhibit one of the oldest and best efforts to help the needy in a time when their presence is undeniable and salient. Best of luck Salvation Army. Erik

This is an outrage! I just found out today that being a bell ringer is my calling, and they're trying to stop it! How dare they!

The bellringers remind me to give to those less fortunate. Like everyone else, I get so wrapped up in my own world that I don't always remember those less fortunate that aren't in my immediate life. The bellringers give me the opportunity to do what I feel is right, so please bring them back. It hurts no one, and if someone IS offended by them, perhaps he/she needs to search his/her heart to see if it's 2 sizes too small.

I am once again disappointed that Target has refused to allow the Salvation Army bell ringers to collect money in front of the Target stores. I will be spending my money ONCE AGAIN at other stores this Christmas season.

Volunteerism and the spirit of love and charity are part of what made this Country what it is today. Please don't turn your back on it. Hey Target be a radical when everyone seeks to conform and fit it, dare to continue with the Kettles. What if you had no money and needed a little help at Christmas. Bah, Hum Bug Target!
