Mr. Zuckerburg(sp?), you just don't seem to get it...
First the mini-feed, and news feed, this is going to kill off or disenchant a huge portion of your users. Its like you're committing suicide...
Facebook has taken off so much BECAUSE it is restricted. It can easily turn into something like myspace, and if it does, it WILL lose many of its users. It's pathetic to be considering this change. If people wanted something like myspace, they would just join myspace. If facebook is hoping this will bring them more revenue, get out of that. What did you create Facebook for? What was its purpose? Because opening it to the public defeats the purpose of SCHOOLMATES keeping in touch. You miss the point if you think the problem lies with privacy settings. If facebook does this, I guess something else will replace it and everyone will join that site--one that doesn't sell itself out to advertising like mad, allowing everybody in, and basically being a major vehicle for stalking and finding information about people's personal lives.
Facebook was supposed to be a site for college students and alumni to stay in contact with each other, creating networks for the future. This is ridiculous that any random person (from a 12 year old teeny bopper to a 47 year old sex offender) will be able to join this site. Why does every site have to be like Myspace all of a sudden?
