i joined this site to keep up with my friends at mine and other colleges, not for the world to keep up with me. also, many students put cell numbers and addresses up so their friends can get ahold of them, and that's not information they want the world knowing. they also do not want everyone knowing when they are home, and when they are not, or knowing every detail about every move they make. opening facebook to the world is not only killing the reason we joined, it could endanger us.

If facebook becomes open to anyone, and any 12 year old girl or 50 year old man can get on, I'll have to leave facebook. I joined facebook over myspace for a reason.
