I'm very disapointed in Facebook lately. It's original charm was that it wasn't open like MySpace was. If they really cared about their members I would have hoped they would have had the consideration to consult them on the decisions that affect us.
The edu. requirement ensures that those in higher learning environments remain together and gives me ease of mind that other college colleages are the only others allowed to look up my information. I personally will be cancelling my account if the requirement is cancelled because I do not want some random middle aged bum with looking at my personal information
I believe in the level of privacy and security that is generally associated with this site. The change would decimate the authenticity of this relationship.
