facebook is the only site that i still feel somewhat safe on... the privacy and freedom from viruses and bots is greatly appreciated. don't make this awesome site into myspace2.com.
The second you open facebook up to the public at large, it no longer has the safe feeling to it. Ive had Hi5 and myspace, and I hate the fact that I get messaged and added my 50 year old perverted men. I like the fact that everyone on facebook and looking at my page is relatively my age.
If I wanted a public community site, I could join myspace, xanga, or livejournal. The only thing that facebook has going for it is that it's just for students, and not open to any psycho with a computer.
The only difference, note, the only thing that makes facebook special, is that its only open to a select few...MORE people may view facebook if they open it up, but current viewers will view it much less (less page-clicks) in favor of using multiple other communities like myspace.
I don't use any of those other blogs! They'e too childish and lude! We need a place where respectable young adults can hang and interact without all the crap!
keep facebook a more closed place than myspace! being open to all is what myspace is for! the beauty of facebook is it's semi-privateness/credible ness
I joined Facebook to get away from all the myspace-ers. Now they are just gonna come in droves. Aaargh! Why? Why ruin such a good thing with Myspace rejects looking for a place to crash and burn? Ridiculous!

Facebook staff want to earn a higher profit margin and that's understandable. Although we, the users, don't know what their ultimate goal will be or what was their initial goal when coming out with Facebook, Facebook shouldn't forget its existing customers. To simply grow yet endanger their existing and loyal customers will be a major blow.
Facebook was started and intended to be for students. Thats what MADE facebook so great in my eyes. I honestly was unhappy when high schoolers were added but i can deal with that. But random people from the public. We are talking rapists, stalkers, you name it they can get on it. THIS RUINS THE FACEBOOK EXPERIENCE! FACEBOOK IS A SELLOUT!!!
I joined this website because of privacy and protection. I don't want stalkers or pedifiles trying to associate with me on the internet. Opening it up to the public is a very bad idea. This is not myspace - let's keep it that way.
Facebook should only be for students. It's much safer that way, and middle schoolers will eventually become highschoolers so then they can get one. And freaky old men that want to stalk highschoolers can not.
yeh dude keep it private cause if not u got crap like myspace. u end up havin like 40 year old stalkers or sexual predator gettin all the info for high school and college kid. I HOPE THIS ALSO GOES TO KEEP MIDDLE SCHOOLERS OFF IT TOO BECAUSE THEIR ANNNNOYING!!!

The reason I joined facebook is because of it's privacy features. If facebook goes public, I'm off of it. I left myspace for the same reason. Our information is only supposed to be seen by us and our friends, not by random people that we don't even know.
