The fourwheeling community is an ever growing group/sport, and it seems more and more of our driveable land is being taken away from us. We need somewhere to 'wheel, and it's great parks like Paragon that allow us to venture off and do what we love most, and that help against keep those few that make us all look bad from trespassing and driving off the trails.
Please leave Paragon alone. Seems like everywhere you turn another piece of land that was available for recreation is being turned into a shopping center. Please stop the greed, and take your kids riding or 4 wheeling. You might find you like it...
It would be a great loss to have PAP shut down. There are very few place that you may iteract with the outdoors and place like this should be preserved for future generation.
I have spent many 2 to 4 day trips to PAP for fun and competition for many years. As an avid member of the 4 wheeling and ATV community I look forward to enjoying my hobbies on LEGAL land. PAP is one of the few places on the East coast that I am able to do that. If big buisness and politics keep pushing the offroad enthusiasts out of there sport, many buisness small to large will suffer. If it will make the greedy land owner feel better, my friends and I will suffer the most.
Paragon AP is the only local place i can legally challenge my off-road abilities. All other land in my area is privately owned, and does not legally allow the use of motorized vehicles. This park provides some of more diverse wheeling for any level of enthusiast. For it to be closed would be a tragedy.
I am very in favor of keeping this park open for the Off Road entusiasts to enjoy nature and also challenge themselves and their vehicles on some great terrain.
Paragon Adventure Park is one of the few places where you can legally take your vehicle offroad. It would be very unfortunate for it to be shut down as it provides as much recreational fun as that of a ski resort....
please don't close this area..this is a outrage that this is even being discussed.this area brings lots of business's money.tourists etc.very bad business move for the local goverment.
There are so few places that are legal to wheel, and basically none that have varied terrain like Paragon. When I come down to Paragon, not only am I supporting the park but other business in the area. I live in CT, so my trip consists of typically a 2 night hotel stay and eating out. Allowing this park to be shut down will hurt those other local businesses.
this is one of the biggest, nicest clean and most organized parks i have been to. i dropped $500 in one weekend around town and at the park. i plan to do it again provided it stays open
PAP provides an opportunity for offroad enthusiasts to enjoy nature and their sport in a legal enviromentally friendly setting. In addition, PAP provides local businesses customers which help both the local and state economy.
This beautiful *coal wasteland* is enjoyed legally by many off-roaders and regularly brings tons of tourists to the local area. They come from almost every state of the union and regularly from neighboring states (VA, MD, NJ, NY, DE, etc.). These people would never come to Hazleton and spend money on local businesses if it weren't for Paragon Adventure Park. Uphold the legally contracted 25 year lease and extend it afterward!
With more and more public land being shut down, there are less and less options available to us. Shutting down pay-to-play parks just makes the matter worse for those of us that care about legal wheeling.
Me and my friends come to Hazelton about once a month for this park. Otherwise we, and many others, would not even be patrons of the Greater Hazelton Area....
Isn't it a shame, the BIG GUY ALWAYS MORE! Please think of the Patrons who support the area's local business' & their SPORT !! KEEP PARAGON OPEN !!!!!!!!
"Places to take your 4WD vehicles legally off-roadare a rarity. This kind of closure increases thechance of people illegally riding on private/closed areas and inceases the risk of seriousinjury outside of a controlled environment. Pleasekeep Paragon open." This is exactly how I feel and very well worded, thank you Russell
I've been visiting the park since 1998. I stay at local hotels, shop at local grocery stores, buy fuel locally, and eat at local restaurants on each and every trip there.

I love going to Paragon and have always stayed at the Fairfield Inn and Patronized Damon's. We also buy food and gas at the station just outside the park. Even though I plan to move to CT, it is nice to know that PAP will still be close enough to wheel at. Please save the park.
