This is one place that i feel well keep people coming back like it has. This place is one reason why i bought a jeep wrangler so i can go offroading here. If it wasnt for them i would never experience offraoding in general.
We are from Southeast Louisiana, and we don't have off-road parks anywhere in our area. We always travel a minimum of 6 hours to go to any park to have fun. That is what we are about. We only wheel "legally". Now another park is potentially off the map for us who enjoy this sport so much. Isn't this AMERICA? Please don't take away the sport that some of us find so enjoying. We need to maintain every park on the map, not lose them.
Please hear our voices.
We need all the offroading wilderness and parks that we can get, without it people like me would be roaming the streets looking for ditches and vacant lots.
To close another park will only advance the problem. With nowhere legally to wheel, many choose to wheel illegally. It is the publics right to have access to public land.
I help run an annual event call GonZookin, which is held at Paragon Adventure park.
We normally have about 200 people attend.
These 200 people eat in town, buy gas from the local gas stations, shop at the local stores, and stay at the local hotels and campgrounds.
If Paragon closes, so will this event.
I have never been to PAP, but I was planning to make the trip from Barrie, ON Canada this fall. It will be a devestating loss to the offroad community if it is lost...
An agreement was made by 2 parties, and it should be honored by the Land Owner. If it is not, it continues to show what is wrong with this country. All Greed, no Morals. The Paragon adventure park should be protected and promoted by the local government, even though it is privately run, as one of the few places to legally operate an off-road vehicle. A place to create tourism rather then to build buildings for businesses then offer huge tax breaks to get those businesses to come in.
Paragon is the best place I have ever gone wheeling, legal or not. It's great to have such a great place so close that is 100% legal and so great. The hosted competitions are great weekends, this place must stay.
Off-roading is the fastest growing vehicular sport in America today. Destroy all the land for people to legally wheel and you wind up with even more illegal wheelers. Keep it open and you have an opportunity to vitalize a small town with businesses that support the off-roading community. Support the sport and encourage responsibility!
If their 25 year lease was up and the owner's didn't want to renew - that's understandable. But trying to force them out 3yrs into their legal 25year lease is just WRONG. regardless of the potential profit!
save the park te best place to go and just let loose. no other place around like this and many of us have big rigs and cant drive that far so save the park
Some things are worth more than money. To the users, Paragon Adventure Park is one of them. It is not something that can be relocated. It provides a service to many communities who do not physically use it.
I agree that you need a place to go and enjoy your atv's and jeeps and bike's. It is a great place and should stay open. Better than game land so the animals are not bothered
