anyone who would want to shut down this place obiously has not off roaded before because you would know how much fun it is and a great way to meet others
We went to the Turkey Fry at Paragon this past Thanksgiving and it was my first time (julie) and my boyfriends third time (justin) it gave us great memories and is a great outdoor activity for us Jeep Lovers!!! I just got a Jeep and want to try it out! Don't let this wonderful place close and leave us no wear else to go!!!
Once again the small business gets the boot because all asses with large pockets wants to "boost the local economy". Yeh right, they just what to make more money at the expense of others. Are there not any lawyers out there that like off-roading that would volunteer their time to help keep legal costs down for Kyle?
I just got a Jeep last year to take 4 wheeling, and I haven't even made it to Paragon yet. This park was one of the best things to happen to the sport of offroading. It will be a shame to see it close.
Never been to the park but know how great it is from other jeepers i have talked to or read about their experiences online. Keep it open not only is this an area for avid outdoor recreation enthusiasts but also for wildlife. So i support to KEEP IT OPEN!!
As an avid off-roading enthusiast, I have visited Paragon Adventure Park on several occasions. My own home state of CT has no where for enthusiasts like myself to enjoy this activity. I was happy to find a park like Paragon just a few hours away and have made multiple trips there with groups of friends. A facility like this draws more than just local "ATV advocates", it also attracts many enthusiasts from many other areas. People who stay in the nearby hotels and campgrounds and spend money in area stores, resturants, gas stations, etc. I myself have spent an avarage of $1000 per each of my 2-3 visits to the park, even more if I happen to break something on the trails while there. This park generates more than just it's gate fees, it also has an economic impact on the local community.
I've never been to the park, but I am tech at Brown Daub Chrysler Jeep which was the #1 Chrysler Jeep dealer in the nation for 2005. I see hundereds of jeeps every month and about 80% of them have paragon stickes on them, and most of those customers brake there rigs there. my piont is its not only gonna disapoint alot of the people that enjoy wheeling it is gonna hurt other busnesses as well. By this i don't mean just my line of work but the small stores of the towns in the area as well as the over all economy of the area. so be smart and make the right and keep the park open.
Go build somewhere else. Don't destroy the beauty and piss people off. It could economically destroy the town, and any businesses there, idiots. I run a business, and I wouldn't do this to other people!
It's a shame that we are losing places like this. It's closing of legal areas that makes people go to illegal area and destroy sensitive habitats. The fall out from this will be irreparable.
Its been a few years since i have been to paragon, but when i was able to go I loved it. Having to sell the jeeps was tough, but looked forward to being able to ride there again when i got back into it.
Paragon is one of the only places left where people can go to legally and safely enjoy this sport. Closing it will just force those of us who enjoy to seek other outlets, all of which may not be legal. Its the CORRUPT governement and courts that force us to find ways to enjoy our chosen pastime. Hope your glad you lined your pockets a little more
THIS IS ONE OF THE FEW AREAS LEFT TO RIDE SAFELY.I FEEL SAFE WHEN I BRING MY 9 YEAR OLD SON HERE.CLOSING THIS PARK WOULD BE A BIG MISTAKE.PEOPLE NEED A SAFE LEGAL WELL ORGINIZED PLACE TO RIDE.
I have yet to go to Paragon but me and some of my buddies are planning a trip there this summer...plus we are running out of legal areas to drive and it is only a few hours from us so we will be making more trips as soon as it gets nice.
My friends and I travel from all over the country to PAP.It would be a shame to lose one of this country's greatest parks, not to mention the lost profits from those folks that come from out-of-state that contribute money to the hazleton area.
Responsible wheelers continue to loose property designated for this sport. Paragon is a safe place that has been disignated for the off roading sport, and loosing this park would keep more and more people from being able to enjoy these outdoor activities. This forces people into either illegal off roading, or just foces them out of the sport. Please do not allow PCA and local government to force Paragon out of business like this. If anything, I'm sure there could be some sort of negotiation to allow paragon to still exist.
