All the guys and gals at DAP are rooting for PAP. In the last 3 years our employees have spent about $5K in hotel, food, gas, etc in the area doing product testing or recreational wheeling.
Paragon brings much value to the local area through hotel bookings, restaurants, and gas sales. It offers a haven for offroad enthusiasts and their families to enjoy their hobbies in a safe and legal location.
This is the only true park of it's kind.. where do you now expect all this riders to go.. considering you are now taking away the legal place for them to ride.. I don't want to see complaining of illegal riding once this is done!
why not designate a reserved piece of land as big or bigger than the park and give the family rights to operate there. that would be fair. and under no circumstances can this land ever be developed. let us enjoy the outdoors. its what makes PA so great.
Here you have a small family running a LARGE operation preserving the land and now they want to destroy thousands of acres of forest for an airport....
I guess their greed will result in an increase in illegal 4x4 and ATV use elsewhere. With such a large amount of open land in PA, Gladstone should look elsewhere.
I'm the vice president of a dodge truck club, we love paragon and would hate to see it close. think of all the other businsee that would suffer. Hotels, restaurants, etc. SAVE PARAGON!
We are sad to hear of this. This is the only place for use to go wheeling. We often brought are kids along for some clean fun family time Nothing but good friends at Paragon
It appears that a legal contract is in place and is being honored. That is the key issue and the Paragon Adventure Park is entitled to legal protection and equal rights.
This is the old place that our club goes. We are a group of 25 people and we go to the park 3 to 4 times per year. Each of us pay more for hotels and gas than we do to play at the park. This is all money spent in Paragon at hotels, restaurants and gas stations.
As a park owner, I modeled our park in Kansas after Paragon. Paragon is the leader in off road park development. The general public does not understand the immense hurdles you have to overcome to be able to start and operate an off road park. Paragon has done a tremendous job with this park and should not be the target of big business and legal manuvering. They have a contract in place giving them the right to operate this park. They offer the public a great place to go to enjoy outdoor recreation in a political environment that is trying to close land at every opportunity. You take away a persons recreation and you risk the negative consequences of a suppressed society. Keep the park open and let them do thier job in offering recreational opportunites to the public.
This is crazy, people finally have a legal place to drive off road and it is taken away. Before paragon I almost got arrested for trespassing on someones land.. Now I have to find someone elses land to drive on without getting arrested. Thanks for making many people disapointed.. I love paragon even though I live 2 hours away
This is a prime example of big buisness trying to squash the small buisness owner. Keep Paragon open. This is a place where scores of people can come to have some good clean fun.
I've spent my whole life enjoying and respecting nature with a Jeep taking me to my favorite hunting, fishing and camping spots. Those places have ALL been absorbed by development or State Game Lands. With the closing of Paragon my decision to leave these co-gen and prison infested lands will be much easier. I think it's time to find a place with clean air to breathe politicians who actually listen to their constituents (Very loudly LOL) and try to get some undeveloped dirt under my tires.
Typical of shortsighted American GREED! Don't the owners realize that they can only sell this property once? They want any and all profits from this land in their pockets only. To bad for Kyle and his family or all the business in the Hazelton area it creates. To bad for their own ancestors, not only monetary profit potential but for their being able to see undeveloped land intheir lifes and the wildlife that depends on it. No, the current owners only see a proposed airport and a chance to fill their pockets. I find it hard to believe there isn't more suitable land elsewhere or for that matter make better use of existing airports. Please, LET PARAGON STAY !!!
Although wheeling may seem to most people like a "stupid pasttime", to the 'Wheelers',it is a way to express themselves.I beg you; what is more important..your airport or a safe, contained environment for your children to interact.
Why would you want to shut this palce down? It gives wheelers a contained environment to enjoy there hobby and for young wheelers like myself it's one of those great things your taking away. I Have never had the opportunity to go but I sure as hell would like that chance.
I need you to keep this park open please. I love this sport and it is the best wayto do 4 wheeling legally . I have made many new friends and can say that i have had many memories here. If i can do anything please let me know.
Why would u close this..Do u want people to start wheeling in the roads and in people's yards. Please keep this park open..so the young kids have a safe place to ride with their friends and meet new ones.
This is why locals leave our state and area for good. We spend our money in W Virginia and Kentucky because our state nor local goverment wants us. I can't believe they would squash a local ATV park being that we are the second largest ATV owning community in the country. "And all the Fools Sailed Away"! Right before their eyes and they are to blind to see.

As I write this, the court has already ruled against Paragon and the eviction date is set. Considering that the proposed airport project has the backing of local and state politicians and a US senator it isn't surprising that the court ruled as it did. The landowner even announced the airport project an hour and a half before the case was heard in court. Nice that people with enough cash and clout can buy court verdicts. It's a sad day for more than one reason.
