It would be very sad to see paragon get shut down... It would be even worse to see that area leveled and paved over. Don't let the big bussiness men win!!!
SAVE PARAGON!!!!
Just another case of the might dollar taking over locally owned businesses, and putting good hardworking citizens out of business.
Is this the way of the future for Luzerne County, smash all the small businessmen and give them min wage jobs at the new airport? Please allow us to continue to have a safe legal place to enjoy our growing sport. PAP has been one of the shining stars of our sport on the East Coast. Personally I have spent well over $8,000 and several years building a vehicle to enjoy at Paragon, one of the only legal playgrounds left. This is a wholesome sport and very family oriented, which are the things I would hope our leaders would want to promote.
Please keep the park open for us and future generations of Off-Roaders. Off-Roading is a way for me and my family to enjoy the great outdoors together.
First of all. by suing the tenant of Paragon just to get the land back to make some 22.5mil off of the land sales, is just ridiculous. Not only will these people face opposition from us off-road enthusiasts, there is a greater opposition from the locals that will have their way of life literally shattered by the screaming engines of these cargo planes flying overhead. Keep PAP open so that we can legally wheel or recreational vehicles and have the chance to meet great people from our area.
By closing this park and tearing it down for another development of some type you are endangering the environment. Tearing down all those beautiful trees and brush is only adding to the problem instead of helping. Honor your contract.
please rethink this dont close another public land for urban developement . our families enjoy coming back home to wheel with friends and family . i dont enjoy seeing cargo planes taking off !
Closing Paragon is not only a detriment to local area business in Hazelton, but would also deny the offroad community and those who enjoy outdoor adventure sports a venue to responsibly and legally enjoy a much loved sport.
Funny how we build drag strips to keep kids from drag racing on the street, but yet we'll close a legal 4x4 park, forcing people to wheel were they may not be welcome
in my are pap is the closet and best place to ride. please don't take it from us. it is one of the last legal places left to ride. not only is it keeping us from tearing up peoples fields but it is also bring in revenue to area stores.
We drive from South Jersey to Paragon many times a year. We usually stay in hotels in or around Hazelton and frequent resturants there. Our numbers have been growing each year. Will be a sad day to lose such a quality place of recreation.
I haven't been to PAP yet BUT I am supposed to go for the first time around April. All I have heard to date is good things about PAP and cannot wait to go. As someone else has already pointed out, closing PAP would result in a LOT more illegal off-roading in ALL the northeast. Don't close PAP, it is really all we have to look forward to.
Please help save Paragon! This place is a valuable ASSET to your community as well as the offroad community that helps to support YOUR local economy. Please help with your support.
