I drive seven hours from Cleveland, OH to use this park's facilities. There is no other reason for me to go to Hazleton, definitely not a cargo airport.
The last thing we need is another airport anywhere. Recent studies show most of our air pollution is from heavy cargo and passenger planes let alone the fact that they are a major contributer to our change in weather patterns.
If Paragon loses, we all lose. It will be that much easier for land developers to get away with it the next time around. If we don't stop this now, what's next? Claims of "eminent domain" as they take over our houses for more lucrative land use?
these damn land developers anymore are getting stupid with what they want to do...they are killing this country more that terriosts...they are killing out history and killing our wild animals..
A unique business like this should be supported. It brings people from great distances who normally wouldn't be in the area, which in turn is a great benifit to all of the other local businesses
SAVE THE PARK WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO KEEP NATURAL RIDING INSTEAD OF LETTING PBIG COMPANIES SELL OUT OUR TRAILS AND WILDLIFE THAT IS TEHRE WE NEED THAT FOR ALL
The park is great place to go for the day to relax and have some fun wheeling. The amount of work that has been put into the park to make it the way it is, it would be a crime to close it.
I have dreamt of this place after seeing photos. So I started saving every available penny, to build a jeep worthy of being there. Its been hard... This year I was going to finally make it there... PLEASE, do not let Paragon close its doors!!!
Don't take it away. You will heavily promote illegal land use! Do you like taking away money from your already depressed town? Think of all your merchants in town who are going to lose those $100 gas bills from people fueling up, and all of the food joints that will no longer have the business...
There's NO WAY that closing a place that teaches responsible values with healthy outdoor recreation is for the greater good. The leadership of Paragon has done this right, and should be rewarded NOT punished!
Since I was a child I have only dreamed of a place like this on the east coast, close to home. Was looking forward to spending weekends for the next 22 years with my family and children at PAP. Lets do all we can to keep it around!
My kid cut his teeth on a 90 Polaris at this place. He like the rest of our Family enjoy Paragon. Money rules and everyday someone is always doing what they can to ruin the fun places.
PAP should stay open for many reasons. A LEAGAL area for all out-of-door ATV enthusiasts to enjoy, local or from afar. I would assume local riders enjoy PAP, what’s next….a ride down main street? Local bureaucrats seem to always have an agenda to rule the little man thinking they are far above the rest of the public. If this is closed, the local police can thank the local bureaucrats for increased ticketing to the local kids/adults when they take to the streets to have a little fun on the ATV. For the rest of us living farther away, the impact is just as great if not greater. Closer would bring revenue loss to the local economy, food, fuel, lodging, get the picture? I would dare say some disgruntled county board member cannot stand the fact he or she is getting older and feels a sense of accomplishment by stifling the open minded free spirited ORV, OHV, ATV, community of ATV enthusiasts. This comment following is directed towards the politicians, “Don’t you have better things to do than screw with a place for the entire country to enjoy?”
The way this is going down is just wrong they did not complain about a lease violation before they wanted to sell the land. I will boycot hazelton if this goes down the way it is.
Overland has a valid lease for 22 more years, yet the heavy hitters wish to break the lease so they can make even more money - sounds like seller's remorse!
