Yinges Yigzaw :
It is really a sad day for Ethiopia and Ethiopians. I thought things would
end peacefully but that would remain a dream for the peace loving
Ethiopians. I thought the prime minister was really concerned for the
safety of the people when he ordered the federal police to be armed only
with a rubber stick. Now I know he doesn’t trust them, feared they will be
part of the people and he is relaying on a specially trained loyal armed
force, that speaks his ethnic language which he apparently used it to
massacre the peace loving poor Ethiopian people. I as an Ethiopian would
beg the international community to pressure the government to be democratic
and peaceful. |

conscience which we cannot deceive. Please consider this war torn country

It is time to the international community and leaders of the free world to
act and stop this senseless killing. The Ethiopian government does not even
consider the dead as a human. The spokesman for the government of Ethiopia
(Bagdad Bab) said we don’t know how many are dead but we do know that they
are troublemakers, homeless, or robber. What a Sad Time! Dictators never
learn from the past history until they found themselves in the cave like
Sadam or hiding in Zimbabwe like Mengistu |

SAY-NO-TO-HATRED :
Whoever read this petition, may the faithful Lord somehow deeply ignite a
desire to believe that there is really something wrong, unfair, and hidden
feature of the ruling government of Ethiopia. Whoever reads this petition,
Let God touches you deeply to be part of the solution, by revealing to the
world that Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Meles Zenawi is not really a
progressive leader, is not really a kind of leader that some world leaders
think he is. A progressive leader is a leader who does things right at
home, first. He said to the world that he is fighting global terrorism,
while at this very moment because of the military order given by him,
innocent poor people are being arrested, dying and being harassed because
they are exercising God-given human rights and democracy. Most of you guys
who happen to have friends and acquaintances from Ethiopia know for sure,
that Ethiopians are people of great values and morals. Ethiopians fear God,
and don't accuse anyone wrongly. What kind of democracy process, sends
candidates of the election into prison?? because they strongly challenge
the incumbent candidate?? I leave the answer to the readers, who are lucky
enough to understand and exercise human rights and democracy in their daily
lives. I am specially calling up your attention to hear my poor Ethiopian
brothers and sisters who submitted their ballots on May 15, 2005, even
though they knew they would be dying soon due to other factors including
AIDS and poverty. May God bless you and help you to be a truthful practical
person.
Respectfully, truthfully, & humbly yours,
SAY-NO-TO-HATRED |
