There is no way this show can be cancelled. To say there isn't a fan base for this show is to deny the thousands of fans frantically posting on the internet to save something they love. I for one cannot live the rest of my life not knowing what happens to these people. They are more than just characters and I cannot bear to think of their story as being forever unfinished. Carnivale may not generate the dollar signs HBO is looking for but it generates a loyalty and dedication among its fans that is hard to find in this era of reality television and oversexed housewives. PLEASE, BRING BACK CARNIVALE!!!

The only reason why I even watched TV was because of Carnivale. I saw advertisments of the show and it looked interesting I ordered HBO and fell in love with the show. What an intellectual, thought provoking show. A show that treated its viewers with respect and possability. Most shows feed into the dumbing down of Americans. They have the view, Americans are dumb, so lets show them dumb stuff. Carnivale, treated the audience witht the attitude of, you are actually smart, and lets us show you what we can open up to you. I am deeply disappointed and cancelled HBO today. Someone or some network please pick up Carnivale and finish the story. HBO please sell the rights back to David.

HBO, you have thrown away a truly brilliant show and denied television viewers a rare experience: a thought-provoking, visually beautiful show that dedicated fans don't just watch every week, but think about every minute while waiting for the next episode to air. You have made a ridiculous move -- cancelling a show because of your own marketing department's failure to do their job, develop tie-in products, come up with a decent marketing campaign, and place this brilliant show in a decent time slot. I am ashamed to have believed your company was an advocate of cutting edge television -- you have destroyed the best thing to have entered the market for years, and you have majorly pissed off a lot of people. PLEASE rethink your decision; PLEASE do not push this show into the dust.

I started watching Carnivale during its first season and was intrigued with the story's settings, intricate plot twists and the cast's great acting, each and every one, but as each new episode was added, the suspense and anticipation of wondering what would come next in this wonderful story just whet my appetite for more. As the 2nd season wound down, I had become even more excited about the future episodes to come and was eagerly awaiting the 3rd season and more to come after. There are only two shows worth watching on tv anymore - Carnivale and Deadwood. I can't believe after making the initial investment in this series that HBO would just let it slide and give up on such a superb storytelling effort - HBO is supposed to be on the cutting edge for groundbreaking entertainment! All I can say is how deeply disappointed I am that you won't go the extra mile for the quality programming that you say you're known for.

Don't cancel this show! At least do a season three and give us an definitd end. It can't end without us knowing what happens with Sofie. We know she brought Justin back...but is she now Bens enemy? Is she also pregnant with his baby...come on, what happens. HBO you suck!

You let "6 Feet Under" and "The Sopranos" wallow in unimaginative self-indulgence for the last 3 years. You continue to push a show that would be better suited for FX than HBO ("The Wire"), and your only other promising series ("Deadwood") moves slower than a jar of "fuckin" molasses. Now you tell us that you're going to cancel CARNIVALE?!?!?! I'll have some of what you're smoking, please.

Carnivale is the best series brought to television. I have never been so passionate about a show that is so good and so different from anything ever shown. It consumes you. I was hooked from the very first episode. Your comedy and reality shows are a dime a dozen and are mever watched by me. HBO is cancelled in my home and you can bet I will not get hooked on another HBO series and then get the rug pulled out from under me before it is finished. Cancellation works on both sides....No Carnivale....No HBO.

Of all shows on television, Carnivale was the best type of entertainment for fans of the show. I for one hate reality TV and will never give in to such mindless stinky and sticky turd television, and rather drop my tv from a overpass on I-95 than have to get use to some second level show that has a similiar Apocalypitic plot. When I say that I talk of "Revelations" of course. I'll masterbate 18 times a day before I give into a crappy show I dislike in replacement of Carnivale. Let Carnivale finish it's story, hell, the whole Barksdale crew went to shit after the Wire's third season, shit, Stringer Bell was fuckin gunned down. Yet you renew the Wire for a fourth season, yet Ben nor Justin are dead and you cancel their asses. Let Daniel Knauf finish his story, or else I'll finish my subscription to your evil empire of ass-licking to Time Warner. Oh and by the way, Entourage sucks.

Kim Christensen said 05/12/05, 12:35 am (verified)

#45

Roberta Deming said 05/12/05, 12:34 am (verified)
Everything about Carnivale was unique and top of the line. You just needed a brain to watch it. I see the execs at HBO never saw the message of Carnivale so now those of us left hanging from all of the mysteries that still awaited us are left to seek another show that will be able to fill our minds with wonderful, terrible thoughts....I just don't see that ever happening unless this show gets revived.
#44

Alan McClintock/georgethewoolf said 05/12/05, 12:31 am (verified)
Establishing a good show like 'Carnivale' and then pulling the plug, makes me hesitant to get involved with any other HBO series, if you get my drift. The show did NOT come to a "natural end" and was quoted in Variety. Did anyone involved in the cancellation of Carnival even watch it? Apparently not.
#43

Ron De La O said 05/12/05, 12:31 am (verified)
