One of the best series on television ever. Would be a travesty not to have another series and then finish it off in a great climax after building it up over 3 series.
This show is one of the best and most original on television. I feel that the story has a lot more scope and it would be unfair to its dedicated fans to cancel it now. it is also the best thing that HBO, whop always prided itself on being original is offering right now. It a show for intelligent open minded viewers and offers a stimulating alternative to reality and dumbed down tv shows.
This is the best HBO show I have seen. I can't belive this could be the end of a fresh and orignal Hit series!! Wonderfully told story line with an absoultely great cast!! If this show does not come back it will be proved to be a big mistake on behalf of HBO! Please bring this wonderful show back!!! The Fans ARE HERE!!!
This is seriously the best show i have ever seen on television. Everyone i introduce it to is instantly obsessed. You must bring it back for more seasons to come. Its the best HBO series i have ever seen. Its unbelievable that it got cancelled after only 2 seasons. If not brought back i certainly will be cancelling my HBO.
Question: Did the people who actually made the decision to cancel Carnivale (for "whatever" reason)...watch the show themselves?? Because if they did...it's very hard to believe they would even consider cancelling such a unique, quality program, let alone killing it off as they did. Right in the middle! With a an extremely dramatic cliffhanger!
This decision is not good or sound PR work! There IS a good fan base for this show! Enough to realize that ALOT of people are incredibly disappointed (to put it mildly!) with this illogical and inconsiderate decision. And in future many people will be wary to start watching new programs...as they also could be cancelled all of a sudden!!
My friend forced me to watch the DVDs of the first season. Now I'm hooked. You have to bring this show back. Carnivale is the best show I've ever seen!
there should have been resolution. Air the last one with both of them dying, at least, or something. the ending was brilliant, except its actually the end. lame
What a bad decision by HBO. This may have been the single best dramatic show they had! What a shame. I can only hope they will listen to the hype and commotion whirling around this show and understand that a lot of people are in love with this show, and their numbers are growing. I have introduced several people to the show recently on DVD, for example, and they all love it and can't believe HBO is not letting it run its natural course. Not only is this an affront to followers of this epic drama, but it's an insult and disservice to the men and women who worked so hard to make such a beautiful piece of work, arguably the best looking show in the history of television, and one of the best written and acted as well. I can imagine the show is expensive to produce but it's worth it, take a lover of great film's word for it.
Cheers to the folks at HBO; please return this beautiful piece of art to your stellar lineup of great shows. Seriously though, this one is one of the true crown jewels.
I can't believe that hbo would throw a show like this away. in a time whent there is so much so-called reality tv, a show that really captivates people and gives a look into depression time struggle and such a powerfull storyline. makes me wonder when I see ali-g and other crap why do they get rid of the good stuff!!
This show is wonderfully and artfully done. If HBO can have so many huge, hit shows (Entourage, Deadwood, not to mention Sex and the City and Sopranos) I think it can afford to have a unique show like this one running for people that appreciate eclectic shows, whether or not they are on the same level, entertainment-wise, as other shows on HBO.
When I moved into my new apartment I subscribed to HBO specifically to watch Season two of Carnivale. Now that Six Feet Under is in it's final season and Carnivale not returning I don't see any reason to keep HBO.
I can't believe this show is being cancelled. It was so brilliant. Even down to the carnival/and freakshow history. It was so true to everything it was about and it was the only show I have ever bothered watching on TV. PLEASE I beg you. 3rd SEASON. PLEASE!
In the advent of "reality tv", where writers are no longer required to write intelligently, "Carnivale" was a breath of fresh air. Please bring it back for those of us who enjoy quality television!
The only show that was (and still should be) looked forward to every week. Never missed an episode. Could never wait for the repeat like other shows and repeats of Carnivale are better than the original of others.
With a flux of reality shows on television, it hurts my spirit to know that exec's would rather place their money and faith on trash rather than a brilliant, artistic, beautiful show like Carnivale. The reason the ratings were low was b/c groups of people get together and make an event out of Sunday nights and watch on one TV. Indulging in reality based trash like "The Comeback", BRING BACK CARNIVALE!!!
The cancellation of the show is the worst thing HBO could do... If they will not continue making new episodes then I will no longer subscribe to their service.
carnivale was the best show in years, first rate acting, writing and memorable characters, not to mention my daughters drooling over nick stahl being constantly filthy in overalls
very entertaining and creepy
please bring it back
HOW can HBO pull the plug on the best show on TV?! I don't understand it. Excellent story telling, brilliant acting... PLEASE listen to the fans and bring Carnivale back!
Carnivale is a wonderful show: It's brainy, thought-provoking, and mysterious. It's rare that a TV show can provoke and sustain long conversations amongst viewers. Carnivale has caught lightning in a bottle. It'd be a shame to unstop the cork and let the creative power slip away. Keep Carnivale on the air, HBO !
Please, continue Carnivale! This show is a diamond in the rough. Considering that Six Feet Under is in it's final season, there will be nothing left of HBO signature series to draw me in. Don't let me cancel my HBO subscription, just please keep Carnivale going for all of us intellectual appreciates out there!
