you need to at least finish the story with a 2 hour movie if you wont renew for another season, you milked OZ for like 7-8 seasons, you say it is tooexpensive to produce a time period show, yet iI see Deadwood is on for another season....I guess the "F" word and nudity gets you more ratings.

YOU'VE GOT TO BRING CARNIVALE BACK FOR AT LEAST 2 MORE SEASONS. IT WAS THE BEST ORIGINAL SERIES...WELL I LIKE 6FT UNDER AS WELL. ANYWAY, IT CAN'T END, I MEAN SOPHIE WAS THE OMEGA AND BROUGHT JUSTIN BACK TO LIFE. DON'T LET IT END LIKE THAT
What in the world in HBO thinking? Carnival is a great show, how does it end? I agree with Kyle K. Give us at least a additional show to tie up the ending, or better yet bring the show back for another season!!!
They give Lisa Kudrow's untalented ass a show but they cancel this? Yeah that makes sense! Bring this back HBO! I pay for this damn network and they keep killing off the GOOD shows.
Carnivale is one very, very unique show. This is one of only two shows that I would watch religiously. While I watch other things very often none peaked my curiousity and interest like this show. The second season was fast paced and well made up for the first. Please give this show a chance to keep at least a 75% pace with the second season. I do watch HBO frequently but this show was a big reason why I gave other HBO shows a chance. With stuff like comeback and a fading six feet under (which i wasn't into) you and I need this show to live.
Please give me my carnivale the limited choices of quality TV just got smaller. why is garbage rewarded and exciting thoughtful story telling cancelled
Intriguing, intelligent television, brilliant writing, intense acting - this show is far more worthy of another season than some of HBO's other more trashy series - such as, for example, Entourage, or all those stupid shows about whorehouses in Las Vegas. HBO's cancellation of Carnivale proves that even a network that is reknowned for original programming values ratings and the bottom line far more than it does the opportunity to make compelling art. It also shows how little appreciation HBO has for the intelligence and sophistication of its audience; HBO earned a reputation for elevating television to an art form with Six Feet Under, and Carnivale was a worthy successor to that series. Seems that HBO prefers to revert to mediocrity now that it has cancelled Carnivale.
Just you wait. The time will come when our little 'grassroots' campaign will have reached such a critical mass that it will prompt either an offer to buy the rights from another network (and HBO corporate will end up with a brain spasm) which will ride this mad bastard all the way to the bank and television history. We can't let them take what tiny part of television still aims it's sights at us. Stay strong, keep it going.
Cathouse? a show about women who are prode to be hookers!! come on!thats not art or t.v. is TRASH. Bring back carnivale if your producers find time to step away from the WHORES!
i will cancel my hbo subscription until they put out another show that doesnt suck like the comeback, entourage, curb your enthusiasim and bad boys of comedy all do. carnivale is(was)one of the few good shows on t.v. bush must have had it cancelled.
Carnival was (is?) a major reason for my keeping my HBO subscription. They're so fond of the 'it's not TV, it's HBO' marketing tag, but cancelling an original, well-crafted show is something that ANY TV network can/does do. I'll probably stick around for the rest of Six Feet Under (also ending all too soon), but if Carnivale isn't brought back, my HBO subscription will end shortly after it (SFU) finishes. HBO's not the only one that can play the 'cancelling' game!
UNBELIEVABLE. Bring back Carnivale! YOU'RE NOT FINISHED! WE'RE NOT FINISHED! Correction: please reconsider, or we most certainly ARE finished; HBO gets a cut of my pay monthly for one reason: Carnivale. Don't make me do it, man. Please us all wildly while continuing to earn our money: bring back Carnivale!
Yes, Liz. Do shut up. And PLEASE, HBO, don't rob us of such a spectacular show! Give it time! It's too great to throw in the towel this early! Mistake! Mistake!! Carnivale is the best thing you've ever done, cancelling it is about as smart as letting Felix hold your money. Reconsider.
With a superb story, acting, direction, and production Carnivale was one of the very few bright spots in the black hole of television. This is the ONLY reason I subscribed to HBO. If it goes, so do I.
This show was the best thing that ever happened to TV. Every episode was like watching the best movie i've ever seen, every time i watched it. They need some closure to the series. The last episode was the worst cliffhanger I've ever seen.
Best show I've ever gotten addicted to. I finally find this beautiful gem of a show and it's getting canceled. Nothing else on HBO will make me stay.
While The Sopranos is becoming stale and cliched, you have redeemed yourself with Carnivale. Cancelling this show, HBO, jeorpordizes your position as provider of original television
At least provide some closure with a final 2 hour show for the fans that spilled out 100$ for season 1, or else you may be taking a large loss with the DVD release of season 2.. especially when fans were salivating after season 2 in anticipation for another season that will not come! What is the point in investing another 100$ for another season that will ultimately take you nowhere?
A show wins emmeys and is still slated to be cancelled. aparently HBO is saying their are value emmeys, and they did not get them! I think it was the emmy for most Money made this year that they are pissed they didn't get!
This show is the most original, creepy, and visually stunning show on the air. It would be a shame to end it, especially without wrapping up the convoluted storyline just when it is hitting its peak. If there is any justice, there will be another season that shows us the final confrontation between good and evil.
It's my understanding that the show was cancelled because it's audience was not as large as was hoped for. Is the show losing money? Probably not. Surely HBO's pockets are deep enough that they can accept a smaller profit margin on this show if necessary. I believe as a customer that the powers that be at HBO should look beyond the bottom line. Customer satisfaction is still an important component of doing business here in America. Asking a behemoth like HBO to have a heart and continue Carnivale may be asking too much. If they refuse to continue the show I'll be taking my entertainment dollars elsewhere in the future.
You set a high standard with shows like the Sopranos and the Wire so please dont cancel another quality show like Carnival and leave us with mindless crap like the Comeback or Entourage, which would be the typical crap one would find on network tv. If you keep heading in this direction I might as well cancel my subscription since I started watching HBO to get away from the typical crap that is on network tv these days. Please keep your good quality programs like Carnival on the air.
