Carnivale was better than all of that other junk HBO is spewing out. Why would they want to get rid of their best show? Bad move HBO. Now that six feet under is coming to an end, your beloved sopranos will be gone soon, you are left with nothing. Carnivale was all you had going for you, but you had to cancel it. Stupid.
Please keep this fabulous show on. It is so far superior to most of what's on. The story line is too good and was built to such a state of tension, we need a continuation. Thanks
After a slow first season, the second season delivered in a BIG way. I could not get enough of this show and was graetly looking forward to third season. With all of the garbage that is on TV today, how can HBO be so stupid as to cancel this extraordinary show ??? What a bunch of losers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
damn!!! i just finished rewatching the 2nd season. my mind is reeling with ways carnivale could go. hbo get the writers,actors,directors and get busy. this show is one of the best. the reality shows are dumb. we need imaginative tv. geez a third, forth and so on would be about the smartest move you could make.
What is wrong with you. Have HBO no realization that they are sitting on a gold mind. It is already a very popular show traded across the net that alone should say enough!!!
please bring back Carnivale. it's one of the few high-quality shows on tv these days, as well as by far the best offering from HBO. listen to what your fans tell you. Bring Back Carnivale!
The word is that this show is too costly to make for TV. Well it certainly can't be the make-up, costumes, or set decorations...the cast characters never bathed, raely changed clothes, and they pretty much dragged around their sets with them. I doubt the cast's salary was inflated, soooo I guess the producers are just too greedy! Give the program to an Indy station they will make it work!
Carnivale is the only reason to subscribe to HBO. Other worthwhile shows have gone by the wayside, and even the move selection has become mundane. With "on demand" didgital cable, the cost of watching several movies each month (which is all we have time for) is less than the cost of HBO. Without Carnivale, HBO has no real return on the investment. I hope they listen to their subscribers and bring the series back...
Carnavale was the only reason we kept HBO. It is hard to pay that much when you don't watch TV much, but could not miss Carnavale. Please bring it back.
this show was one of the greatest shows i've seen in a long time, a lot of people i know have dedicated themselves to HBO on sunday nights because of it.To end the show now is a travesty. i make it a point to stay away from my television unless there's something worth watching. Do not cancel this show, it will be one of the worst decisions made concerning your viewers. I for one will have no reason to watch any of your channels. And the shows that you have that are somewhat decent, i'll not even settle for.
It shows sloppy program planning to "end" a HBO original series with no real conclusion, not to mention introducing new storylines. If Carnivale was only going to have two seasons, then the story should have been concluded in that time frame.
I don't think there would have been much complaint if the series had ended reasonably. The show has a large following and recieved many awards.Therefore, I think the only responsible action for HBO is to give this truly origional series an ending since it has obviously failed to do so. HBO's reputation is on the line here and hopefully, they will correct their mistake,
how can you do this? it was the best show on hbo- but everyone was too wrapped up in oz and sopranos to notice- when sopranos are over you should have carnivale make a come back- cause after the dvds and word of mouth- people will want it back- maybe someone else will pick up the show
Carnivale is the first TV show which accessed to the art dignity ! Maybe is our fans'community too little, although it is not "fragile"! And day after day we have much more fans !
it would be a disgrace to leave this series the way it ended....so many loose endsand the most exciting story twists in the last four episodes....you set up everything so wonderfully, and now you will just turn your back on it? shows like this come along very seldom and generate extremely loyal fanbases, even if the audience is not as large as Deadwood, Sopranos, or the Wire (my other 3 favorite shows now that OZ is gone)....I know it was the most expensive show you ever produced, but do the massive amounts of Emmys tell you nothing? the general public does not possess the intellect to follow such a compleax and rewarding storyline, and to deny those who appreciate it the opportunity to see how it ends is almost criminal....please bring back my favorite show...at least a feature film tying up all loose ends as was done with such shows as Twin Peaks and Homicide...do the right thing HBO, and resurrect this excellent and challenging series for another season at least.
When I heard they were cancelling Carnivale, I was the most upset I have been in years!. This is the most depressing thing ever!..also another big mistake by HBO!...Quote.."As Carolyn Strauss said, "We have decided not to renew Carnivale. We feel the two seasons we had on the air told the story very well and we're proud of what everyone associated with the show has accomplished."

I was also told that there were enouf ideas for 7 seasons! so if HBo doesnt want Carnivale..Im banking----> Sci-fi wouldnt mind taking that show...Stargate used to be a showtime show and its doing well there..I think you have to be stupid to just drop such an amazing show..The best show ever made for TV!...
This show is the best one on HBO! What a shame that it was cancelled especially after that season finale! Shame on you HBO! You'll give the Wire another chance (which I love that show too), but not Carnivale`? There is something wrong with that decision.
How the hell can it be over? How can you possibly end when good and evil still exist? When Hawkins girlfriend has turned evil and so on.. I have HBO for 3 reasons and only 3, Sopranos, Deadwood and CARNIVALE. At this point I should cancel HBO and wait for the DVD…to rent.
I am very disappointed in HBO for not giving Carnivale another chance. The shows they did decide to renew ex: The Comeback and Entourage makes me wonder what the real reason for not bringing Carnivale back was. The show was everything that HBO stood for, groundbreaking etc. I have had HBO for over 15 years plus because of their innovation to try things other networks would not or refused to. Now after seeing the choice of getting a new show like Rome and abandoning the show Carnivale. I am confused on what HBO is trying to do. Why cancel the most orginal show on television? To me because of ratings is a act of cowardness when after season one you said you would stay behind it. I am so hurt HBO. Please find it in your executive hearts and conscience to bring closure to one of the most original shows. Bring it back one more time for those faithful HBO fans who have been there from the begining.

Carnivale was a great show. We were all hoping to see a third season. I am truly upset to see it go. Please bring it back. It would really mean alot to us fans.
This show is one of the most fascinating, original shows on TV. The cast is wonderful, the art direction superb and the story line totally complex, profound, and timely. I will be cancelling my subscription to HBO effect immediately.
After learning of the fate of Carnivale, I am saddened that HBO wouldn't stand behind what is unequivocally the most complex and well-written show on television to date. This show has been nothing less than a refuge from every other show on television that simply panders to the lowest common denominator; including " new and exciting" HBO programming, such as Entourage and The Comback. It seems that the only way a show gets to stay on the air anymore is with the obligatory casting of a size-two, 34 double-D blonde, or some pretty-boy lummox with a nine millimeter and a penchant for violence. Carnivale, with it's gritty humanity and profound story lines, will be SORELY missed. That said, I will be cancelling my subscription to HBO effective immediately. I am disappointed that the bottom line outweighs this critically acclaimed jewel. At the risk of sounding like just another fruitcake, this is just further evidence that the mammoth corporate conglomerate will homogenize our culture
please give us more! A two hour movie, a book, something! Whomever made up that crap about it being the right time, and leaving the fans satisfyed should be fired! If that was the case then what are we all doing here? I need to know so much more about ben & sophie that it's killing me. If HBO had ended " sex in the city" at the end of season five with carrie moving to paris and just saying " Ok! bye bye!" the fans would have torn them to pieces! Why don" t we deserve the same?
I've only seen season one (bought the DVD box set after seeing one episode on satellite) as I'm in the UK, but have to say that this is an excellent series. Can't believe anyone would be witless enough to cancel it.
This is sooo messed up and soo typical, we get good shows on tv and then we get the stupid corporate bastards that cancel it...first Sex And The City ends then they take off Dead Like Me now this....ughh HBO is starting to really suck big ones.

After Dead Like Me canceled I had hope that I still had atleast ONE show I could watch. Now I find out that Carnivale is cancelled.
I pray this atleast, if anything, ends up like Farscape. You don't want to do a 3rd season? Fine. Atleast do a mini-series or a finale movie. Finish what was started! Don't leave it hanging out on a limb!
My husband and never saw the first season. Were wrapped up on 6 Feet Under, Dead Like Me, reruns of the Sopranos, Entourage, Huff and Oz and felt one more series would be too much. However, after exhausting all the HBO and SHOWTIME on Demand series, we decided to give Carnivale a chance. It was daunting to pick up such a complex and surreal show without having the background, but we said we'd watch 2 episodes and if we couldn't " get into it" we would move on. Well, we are totally hooked and imagine our dismay when I went online this morning to read the synopsis of the 1st season, to find out you cancelled it! In this world of " dumbing down America" next greatest reality show (p-l-e-e-e-z-e) this show is so far over the top (in a good way) that it actually gets the creative juices flowing in our brains again. It's the most outrageous, albeit somewhat sacreligious, complex, dark, touching, sometimes funny, compelling, imaginative show we've ever seen.
For the producers to actually believe they accomplished everything in 2 seasons makes me believe nobody saw the cliffhanger Season 2 Finale. Please bring it back for a Third Season at the least so the viewers can have a little closure :)
