Anyone with any real taste realizes that Carnivale is one of the most original and well-written TV shows of all time. In a generation of mediocre crap, HBO is the last bastion of hope for a dying breed of programming: the kind that provokes thought. If you cancel a show like Carnivale and replace it with a show like 'Rome' then your standards have fallen. You have truley lost your way and that which separates your channel from all the crap. You'd be fools not to see what a mistake your making. It's not too late. Bring it back.
Despite what HBO execs have said.. I honestly feel that Carnivale had plenty more room to grown. "Ended complete" MY ASS! If you dont have the nutz enough to say "Hey we screwed the producers and writers of the show, they hate us now.. so sue us." Then at least have the fucking decency to release the rights to the show to someone else. Fucking pigs!

Carnivale is the best show i have ever seen in my life... bring it back for (at least) season 3... doesn't matter if it's one year from now or whatever, just bring it back eventually HBO, and stop with all this nonsense about cancelling it for good.

I find it unbelievable that HBO would cancel an Emmy award winning show after only 2 seasons! I have been looking forward to the premier of Season 3, only to be terribly disappointed! Carnivale was highly addictive, and after I told my friends about it, they were hooked too. When HBO re-aired episodes earlier this year, I stopped everything just to watch them all over again. I feel like this is one of the best shows I have seen in a long time, and it made me happy to have been an HBO subscriber. I always felt that the shows I watched in between were just fillers until I could see Carnivale or the Sopranos again. I have seen The Comeback, and I have just watched Rome, and neither one of them come close to comparing to the amazing actors and the great writers behind Carnivale. I just don't understand why HBO would get rid of such a great show. If they are going to replace it with the likes of The Comeback and Rome, maybe I'll just have to cancel and subscribe to Showtime. Very poor decision, HBO. Shame on you for leaving us loyal fans hanging.

Other than Carnivale, HBO is not worth subscribing to. Very rarely do I watch HBO to watch a movie, they have a crappy selection. No, I don't want to watch New York Minute. Give me something with substance.

Ok so let me get this straight "Entourage"this is a show worth keeping (and I've tried watching it but it just bores me right to sleep literally and i'm not kidding), but Carnivale a show that is so interesting that I don't want to walk away for one second when it's on b/c I don't want to miss anything that is happening, it really captivates you. this is a show worth cancelling I just don't understand this. I do understand the whole if it's not making money than cancel it thing BUT with all this press and about the cancellation and the fan following maybe just maybe the big wigs over there at HBO could just give it one more try b/c I don't often obsess over shows but this is one show that I was really hanging on for and waiting patiently for the next season and now I won't get it back and to think I was bragging about what a great show Carnivale is and had people (who have never seen it until I let them see the first and second season)excited to see the 3rd season! The only reason I subscribed to HBO was for Carnivale. Now that it's gone I have no reason to keep it.
To all the execs, get rid of that horrible show "The Comeback" and while you're at it dump "Entourage" too. Bring back the best show you've ever produced. I have too many unanswered questions!

I just started getting into this show, and I must say, it breaks my heart to think that I'll never be able to see where the vision of the creators would have taken us. It seems like there's just no room in this world for well written shows with a vision for a larger story to tell - too many people watching crappy "reality" shows and boring sitcoms that neither entertain nor challenge the viewer. Shame on you HBO!
I think it's a ridiculous decision on the part of HBO to cancel Carnivale. It was by far the most intriguing show to come along in quite a while. It's easily rewatchable, you can watch the first season on DVD 20 times over and still not catch all the subtle hints and clues that help make the show so great. The storyline was top notch, the deliberate pace only helped to heighten audience anticipation and story intensity. I truly hope HBO will strongly reconsider their decision. To take Carnivale off the air is to rob us all of one of the best stories going on television today.
I can't believe that they have cancelled carnivale. This recent trend to cancel all the great shows such as Angel, and Dead Like Me sickens me. Why cancel shows in their prime? Are the wanting to lose loyal customer? I am going to unsubscribe to HBO in protest. This is bull shit. They keep sopranios and just wait 3 to 4 years for new season really makes sense. The execs really need to listen to the people and want the want instead of picking these other dumb ass shows out of their hats.
Since HBO canceled Carnivale, there's a great big empty space on Sunday night...and nothing interesting to talk about over coffee at the office on Monday morning.

Carnivale was without a doubt one of the best shows I've ever seen. I absolutely loved every minute of it and have great admiration for the cinematography, the acting, the script, etc. etc.
In a time of Idols, America's Next Top Model and other terrible shows, Carnivale was one of the things that kept television interesting. Not anymore I guess...
Carnivale was the most engrossing and thought-provoking show on television; a high quality program. It filled the void between seasons of The Sopranos, now there is just the hope that "Rome" might pan out or it's going to be quite a dry spell. For whatever reason the best shows seem to get cancelled, but I am glad to have these two seasons (FOX aired only 4 episodes of Wonderfalls, by comparison). I hope that Daniel Knauf can find an outlet for the remaining storyline, because I can't get enough.

This show was nominated for 8 Emmys and you just up and decide that you don't want to continue it? What are you thinking? So you replace it with ENtourage?
