I support this petition. The 2nd season has only just started in Australia, how can there be no more when the original plan was for 6 seasons! Please bring it back!
A programme that deserves a lot more credit than it recieves. Superb writing, beautiful cinematography and wonderful acting. This show needs to continue for the sake of television viewing, for the sake of proving that television can provide a awesome experience
They said no because each episode cost about 2 million...Do not tell me Rome costs less! At least Carnivale was interesting and had a plot that hasn't been reused as long as Elizabeth Taylor's been alive! C'mon HBO bring back something that actually makes us think!
the best show ever on Television. Please keep Carnival alive. Brilliant actors, superior writing, outstanding production. Nothing I've seen in my 49 years even comes close to Carnivals superior workmanship.
Simply one of the best show to have ever been shown on television. And it is a shame that it was cancelled. And just like others, my subscription to HBO has been cancelled until it is brought back, by you or some other outlet.
Yes, I support this petition. I live in Finland and they are just now showing the first season here. HBO series are pretty much the only series I watch from the tv, since they tend to be the rare seriously good quality stuff, but ending a series in the middle does leave a stain on that reputation. Please finish the series more properly - people from all over are watching it eagerly!
I support this petition. This is the most unique , magical shows I've ever had the priveledge to watch. I was really torn up to hear HBO cancelled it. PLEASE bring back Carnivale, my friends, family, we're all addicted to it. Season Two left a lot of things open, and not much was resolved. We need closure, and if it was about the money, just charge us poor carny folk $100 for the DVD sets! I mean, I'd pay it!! Most fans would, if it meant more in the future. As it is now though why would anyone want to even start getting into the show when there's no resolution? I LOVE this show, please renew it. We won't stop bugging you until you do.
I don't understand how Carolyn Strauss can talk about the show as if the story has been told, and it's time to end it. Did she even watch the show?? It ended with a cliffhanger-there is more to this story, and your loyal customers want to watch the rest of this unfold. Six feet under was cancelled, and that was hard for fans, however, the story had been told, and it was time for it to end. That time has not yet come for Carnivale. I wonder if you have considered the impact. There is a "movement" which includes customers cancelling their hbo subscription, due to this. That should tell you something. I do want to thank HBO, for bringing shows like carnivale to us. HBO offers customers intriguing stories, that are well thought out, and brilliantly acted. HBO pushes the boundries to bring us stories that we can't see anywhere else. (with the exception of "the comeback"..(what were you thinking??) Anyway, I can't understand how you justify a show like the comback, and you pull an emmy award winning, brilliant show like carnivale. Carnivale is one of the best shows ever created...and I have loved HBO above the rest, for many years, and have been a loyal customer even throughout financially difficult times...and living in an area where cable is UNBELIEVABLY expensive. I would hate to cancel my subscription, but I am so angry over this, that I will have to do so, until you realize the choice you've made is the wrong one.
I would like to think that HBO could recognize the mistake they made by cancelling a great show like Carnivale. I would love to renew my subscription, but after the cancellation and the comments made by HBO I don't think that is going to happen.
HBO needs to bring back Carnivale.. It was intelligent, creative, and it drew the watcher into it's storyline.. Far more watchable TV than some of their other shows! (esp. those that it takes 2 years to film a season)
I canceled my HBO subscription after the show was canceled. There is no longer any reason to watch this channel and I will only renew it if the greatest show, Carnivale, returns to the air.
Please reconsider your decision to cancel this groundbreaking and captivating series. It is truly one of the most intelligent programs on television today. In a market that is unfortunately overcrowded with reality shows that are an insult to ones intelligence, Carnivale stands out as fresh, bold and innovative. A true work of art by a master storyteller. To leave such a vision unfulfilled would be a shame.
This show is evidence of quality writing in an time of reality garbage and vapid programming. Plus it just got in deep into it's real plotline!!!It is a moral imperitive it stays on air at least 2 more seasons!!!Try to get this one right HBO execs!!TRY.
I truly hate the fact that you cancelled Carnivale. It was the MOST original show that I have ever seen. I didn't even see season one until I bought the box set. My wife and I are true fans and religiously watched it everytime we saw it on, whether we saw the episode of not. Please Bring Back Carnivale!!!!! Listen to your fans that makes HBO what it is today. Are we not important??
