As many others have mentioned, you are killing (Carnival) or considering killing (The Wire) the programming that makes HBO a t.v. anomaly. Please don't kill the good stuff!! HBO will just become a cesspool of crap and un-watchable like most other programming.
Carnivale was one of the most beautifully directed and fascinating shows I have ever seen on HBO or anywhere else for that matter. I'm truly sorry that the show was cancelled and feel that it's worthy of at least one more season to conclude the story line. There are those of us in HBO's audience who prefer substance over style and Carnivale has both.With the exception of Deadwood, HBO's most recent series like Entourage seem vapid, lame and predictable by comparison.
I only subscribe to HBO now so that I can watch carnivale. If you cancel then so will I. Carnivale is the best show on television. The suspense and the way the writers grab hold of you and make you beg for more is incredible. This will be the biggest mistake HBO will make, promise.

Please don't cancel Carnivale. It's cruel to leave us all hanging, especially when there is still so much potential in the story. I just don't understand the reasoning behind cancelling this show.
What's the deal!?!? We have been loyal to HBO even after waiting as much as 18 months for a series to return. Carnivale was one worth waiting for and now this. Bring it back!

This is the last straw. The ONLY reason I stayed w/HBO was for its original series but with the way this was handled, I will cancel once Six Feet Under is over.
I get HBO for all it's programming, not the movies. You've cancelled Oz, Sex and The City, Six Feet Under is in it's last season and now your cancelling Carnivale! What's the point in having HBO anymore? I'm not keeping HBO just to watch Deadwood. Come on HBO, be smart!
This is the best show in years. Nothing beats it on regular TV or Cable. Why keep HBO if there is no Carnivale. Please reconsider. There is still so much to do with it.
I am a UK fan of this great show who got into it via buying season 1 on DVD. I will definitely buy season 2 when it comes out, and all future seasons if there were any. That's where much of the money will come in, from great sales of this extra special show. Let's keep it alive.
Carnivale is one of the best TV shows I've seen since Twin Peaks. Please don't make the mistake of canceling an amazing award-winning show. I will cancel my HBO subscription if Carnivale is gone for good.

Carnivale was the best show on HBO. It challenged your mind and kept you on your feet. Like the way good TV should be. This show needs to be renewed for atleast one more season to tie up loose ends.
HBO, don't leave your viewers hanging like Showtime did with Dead Like Me. In fact, I regret I used what I thought was your commitment to your viewers in prior complaints against Showtime when I was campaigning for Dead Like Me to return. Please HBO listen to your fans.
Carnival is the most intriguing, intelligent show HBO has. It's a huge mistake to let this one go. If nothing else it ( and the fans) deserve one last season to wrap things up properly.
Carnival does not have to be a continuing story. In fact, it cries out for a definite ending. HBO should have another season to finish it. If not, I will probably drop my subscription.
My husband and I agree with Tracy. Makes it really hard to get involved with another HBO series. We bought season 1 to catch up, just to be cast off? We only watch this one and Deadwood, figuring it would help with the Sopranos ending. Well, now we're not sure if we want to start watching Rome when it starts up or not.
I'm pretty pissed with HBO. This was a show I looked forward to every week. If it wasn't for the great HBO boxing, I'd want a divorce and 1/2 my $$$ back!
Please keep this show on - it's the only show I watch all week and it is the ONLY reason why I have HBO now that the Sopranos are going... If you cancel Carnivale, I cancel HBO.

Come on! You can't get rid of this show! It's great. And look, all of these people have managed to find this petition, and that's not even half of the fans of the show. We care about it enough to sign, so you see why you have to keep it!
I strongly believe that cancelling such a brilliant show would be a huge mistake on your part, HBO. It's really the only thing left keepung your station lively and original.
I'm not the "can''t miss an episode type", except for 'Carnivale'! This show is groundbreaking, the creativeness of each episode keeps me wanting more. At least have Ben and Justin meet again, and toss in a little brother sister "holy" conflict! AWESOME
I have never seen a tv show so like a novel brought to life. The depth of character development in the writing and the talent of the actors is unparalelled. It needs better advertising and more investment, not to be cut off with so much left unresolved. PLEASE don't do this to us! If nothing else, make a movie or three out of the remaining story.

HBO has an obligation to its subscribers to allow this story to continue. It is criminal to cut short such a rich, engaging drama. If you truly do cancel this brilliant show, at least give Mr. Knauff the opportunity to continue the story as it was intended, either through other forms of media or on another network, one that is truly dedicated to groundbreaking entertainment.

My wife and I lobe Carnivale. We would make our plans around when it was coming on. If HBO drops it and any of the other cable networks picks it up, we are there!

Carnival is the best HBO show going. I can't believe you would cancel an Emmy winning show...especially when you hadn't finished the story. It's an insult to the fans!
