It is a shame that all program decisions are based on numbers which really have no meaning. We all know that Carnivale is the best show HBO has ever produced.
I thought the story had run its course nearing the end of the 2nd season. That was until the twist at the end of the final show. HBO owes the fans one more season to complete the story.

How could HBO programming run a show like Entourage, but cancel Carnivale? That makes no sense!! And the fact HBO's Carolyn Strauss said, "we feel the two seasons we had on the air told the story very well", is a load of crap, if she actually watched the show she would know that Carnivale was just getting started, they have enough material with their character's to run 3 more seasons!! SAVE OUR SHOW!!
Carnivale is the best show HBO has ever had in my opinion. With so much "reality" crap on tv...please don't take away the only show that doesn't insult our intelligence. SAVE CARNIVALE!!!!!
Please save the best show on TV. There has never been, and probably will never be, another show quite like Carnivale. Best storyline and acting I have ever had the pleasure to witness.It was refreshing to watch a show that actually makes one think. Pleae HBO, don't be the Child of Darkness, bring back Carnivale!
What makes HBO stand out is that it was willing to take the chance on a show like Carnivale, allowing the plot to develop as the season progressed. This show stood out above the violence of Sopranos and the morbidity of Six Feet Under. Why give Showtime the opportunity to take this show over? With Queer as Folk in its final season, they will be looking for another hit! Please reconsider.

This story is NOT complete.Justin is dead and then brought back by Sophie who now has the same power as Justin did because shes his daughter.How can you guys say this story has been told completely.I'm seriously thinking about cancelling HBO from cable if they cancel Carnivale
For the station that prides itself on quality original programming, it is sad that they let one of their most creative shows go, unfinished and incomplete, into cancellation.
I have completely lost my trust in HBO. Unless Carnivale is renewed, I won't bother to invest myself in any new shows from them. I'll be here for the end of Six Feet Under and The Sopranos. After that, "No Carnivale, No HBO."
It is so rare these days to find great storytelling and rich characters you care about. I feel this way about Carnivale. I ask HBO to reconsider. If they choose to kill the show for good at least allow the creator, D. Knauff, the rights to continue his story if he chooses too.
I was in utter shock when my husband told me that he had heard that Carnivale had been cancelled. I just did'nt believe him, because who in their right mind would cancel the BEST HBO ORIGIONAL SERIES to date? Carnivale is smart, origional, mind blowing, well written, acting is outstanding, and most of all, has the potential to go on and on.... Please reconsider!!!
How can you choose Carnivale over Entourage or Unscripted to cancel? Sunday night is the only night I watch TV and you're dumping one of the best shows ever - with a hung story line at that!
My husband and I have watched this show since the beginning, and we made sure to be in front of the TV every Sunday night at 9. None of the other shows that you have compare to Carnivale, NONE! And how can you end it like that?? Reconsider!!!! Bring it back!
Ibought the DVD and after I saw it I decided to subscribe to HBO. I didn't know at the time they were cancelling the show. Now I think I moved to fast and will rethink whether I will keep it.
I hope HBO will bring Carnival back. It is different and worthwhile.
I invested two years in this show and trusted HBO to allow the characters I've come to care about to live complete lives. Instead, HBO put them to death prematurely. I've lost faith in HBO, feel like my trust has been taken for granted. After Sopranos is over, I won't have much reason to keep HBO.
Carnivale is an intelligent, engaging drama with infinite potential. Please revive it. I am no fan of the filthy Deadwood and will not subscribe to HBO without Carnivale.
I want to know what happens to Sofie. What haapens to Ben? Does Lodz manage to come back from the grave? What happens when Brother Justin is raised from the dead by Sofie? What happens to Iris? Is Jonesy saved?
HBO is known for its quality original programming. Carnivale fits this bill.

you keep a up the macho bravad filled crap like entourage, and sopranos, and even HBO american undercover,(hookers giving oral)... so man pleasing.. But you cancel Carnivale.. Good god.. consider yourself canceled as well... you just lsot another customer
I found Carnivale to be a very interesting show and I believe that it is extremely wrong to end the show now when only 1/3 of the series has been seen.

I am strongly considering not watching any new HBO series for fear they will go the way of Carnivale. This show captured my heart and mind, I will miss it terribly.
I can't remember the last time a show resonated so strongly with me. It had everthing that most other dramas do not - intelligent, layered storytelling that assumed the audience to be well-educated, brilliant art direction and set dressing, superior acting, and the very best writers and directors - I spent the day after each episode dissecting the symbolism with coworkers. Drama of that nature is a rare beast, indeed. Please reconsider renewal for a third season.
I ordered HBO after hearing about Carnivale. I wont continueto pay 15 bucks a month to see Cheaper by the Dozen 4 times a day. Let the show run its nturl course 3 seasons
I want my Carnivale! I actually did not have HBO until I heard about this marvelous new show about a traveling carnival in the dustbowl. I can't imagine HBO without it.
Cancelling HBO is a good tactic, but don't forget that Family Guy was cancelled twice and Fox decided to bring it back due to the popularity of it's DVD sales. Use the cash you saved from cancelling HBO to buy Carnivale on DVD!
It is/was the only show that both me and my wife could agree on. After more than 15 years of HBO, I have cancelled it. HBO has changed drasticaly over the years, the cancellation of Carnivale is just the straw or should I say, the arrow that killed the camel.
What a sham! Figures, no sooner do you get something as doop as this program on the air, then they up pull the carpet right out from under our feet! Way to go HBO. I don't plan on keeping your service since this was basically all I signed up for in the first place! Ya lost another one! See ya!
What a damn shame. Was on the edge of my seat the whole time. And HBO says it came to a natural end? BS!! I have never seen a cliff hanger to deep in my life! Lets get with it HBO! Your fans are what make you!
Amazing show, outstanding actors, has more heart than any other show out there. The ONLY reason why I watch HBO.( Realize when you have something great!!)
