We are finally seeing our wonderful Tad and Dixie again! PLease don't take her away from us again! Her leaving was the reason I left the last time and I can't say that there would be much left for me to watch if she goes again!!!!
So soon after coming back from the dead, Dixie's going to be killed off AGAIN?? That is just nuts! Find another actress to play Dixie if you're having contractual troubles with Cady, but don't kill her off.
Tad and Dixie looking for Kate -- that's a story line that viewers love... someone we can get behind and root for. If you have to kill someone off, kill off Babe, Josh or JR. The end of the love triangle between two self centered jerks and the world's dumbest blond would be a relief! Ditto Jack and Erica. Erica has become a caricature of her former self, and it's hard to care whether she and Jack are even together anymore, they are acting like such middle school idiots about it.
Tad and Dixie searching for Kate is a great storyline. Please, don't get rid of Dixie! Or if you have to, at least have her disappear again, so she can come back from the dead (AGAIN!) in 10 years to meet Kate. Thank you.
i started watching amc in 1990 when i saw tad a dixie together. ive always loved them together. please dont kill dixie off. tad and dixie are good together and i love seeing them together again. and it would be sad to see her leave again. so many good actors have been removed from the show and i was sad to see them go. so please. dont make the mistake of letting dixie go. i think dixie i one of many actors that make the show good. please keep her. she is good for the show.
and i really want to see tad and dixie together again and find kate. what good story that started off sad and will end up being a good story for them to at last find kate.
as a new amc fan who has fallen head over heels for tad and dixie and have rooted for them to get back together since she returned to town, i'm absolutely disgusted and infuriated that amc is throwing away yet another wonderful talent when the s/l involving Taxie aka Cady and MEk is by far the most interesting and the most entertaining. I am apalled that amc is trying this hard to destroy everything good it had going, and after working so hard to get CM to return on top of it. By far the T&d s/l of them being reunited with their adorable little girl was what kept me glued to the screen these past few months, along with many others i'm sure. i wanna know what the writers and bigshots are on if they think that Cm didn't raise the ratings. she is a brilliant actress who was taking the crap the writers fed her and acting it out like it was well written. the writers were so close to undoing the damage they had done to dixie's character by making her and tad reunite. all of this and they decide to kill her off, and if thats not bad enough, they do this to further increase carey screentime! they are sacrificing a wonderful family on the brink of finding happiness for two characters that are so overused its disgusting. i promise that the day dixie dies, is gonna be the day that i'm finsished with all my children. all of the characters i love are gonna suffer and become worse. nothing good can come from this. shame on you mctrash and frons!
Please don't kill off Dixie!!! We finally have the old Dixie back, Tad and Dixie are going closer, and Kate is in PV. Now TPTB decide to kill Dixie, are they crazy? suicidal? or just cruel? Tad and Dixie are the only reason I watch AMC. After over 30 years of watching the show I am finished as a viewer when they kill Dixie. Cady and her fans deserve better.
Please dont permanently get rid of Dixie, if you are unhappy with the actress she can be recast, just dont get rid of the character. Dont cut off your nose to spite your face.
I was looking forward to seeing Dixie and Tad learn that Kathy is there daughter Kate. This is a terrible thing to do not have Dixie find out that Kate is alive and in Pine Valley. I have been a Fan for over 25 years. I am losing interest as I type this email learning that Dixie got fired. I really want her to find her daughter Kate. When she is killed off I guess this will be the last time I watch AMC. Its not like it is that interesting with all the old characters being killed off. Lets see you got rid of Reggie, Simone, Erin, and Brookes characters. Now Daniels and Dixie characters. I know budgets are tight these days but you have let go of a lot of people in such a short time. I guess I will start scanning the TV shows at 1:00pm to find a new show once Dixie is killed off. I really loved her and Tad's character.
Please keep Dixie on AMC. She and Tad need to become the next Joe/Ruth to continue the Martin family saga. Now that they have Kate, who was named after Gran Martin, Tad/Dixie need to remain on the show. I have watched this show since the very first show, it was once the show to watch and I could not wait for it to come on every day. Please keep Dixie!!
How can this be happening? After all the attempts ABC made to lure Cady back, this is what is being done? Bring her back for one year with the worst come-back story ever and just when things were looking promising, kill off the character and fire the actress? Dixie is such a pivotal and vital part of the AMC family and this is how you treat a talented, beautiful actress who gives it her all?
I am so ashamed at AMC and the gross mishandling of its actors. Just when things were looking up with the Tad & Dixie pairing and the great casting of Jeffrey Carlson.
Please reconsider this horrible decision before it's too late. By the way, there are over 13,000 views and over 300 comments regarding this firing over at the SoapCentral website. See if your "focus" group people could have mustered that much interest had it been some story about "Babe" or "KWAK."
Please don't fire Cady McClain. The only reason I watch the show is to see Tad and Dixie. They are the reason I started watching the show back in 1989. We have waited 17 years to see Tad and Dixie with a child of their own and it would be the cruelest act of all if you would kill Dixie when they are about to find Kate. If you kill DIxie, I will have no reason to watch All My Children ever again.

Please, the only reason I watch this show is for the hope of a Tad & Dixie reunion! I have been hoping for a happy ending for them for the past 18 years! You are driving out the best actors and actresses. These people portray human emotion and vulnerabilty in a believable way! Don't let her go!
I think this must be the most ridiculous move AMC has ever made. First of all, it's extremely illogical and unreasonable for Dixie to be killed off. Second, how could Cady McClain be fired now, a year after AMC wanted so desperately to be on the show again? This is already outraging many fans out there and will contunue to do so. I hope Michael leaves and AMC gets cancelled because it's about time they realize that what they're doing is not approved by the audience.

I have been watching AMC since the day it first aired. The decisions that have been made the past two or so years have left me totally sick and ready to throw in the towel. I can remember when this show was at the top of the ratings chart. I would think common sense would tell you the decisions being made are putting the nails in the coffin. The day Dixie is gone will be the long final nail. The only thing worse would be Michael Knight but I am sure that is next because obviously the powers that be just don't care anymore!

Tad & Dixie are JUST getting back to seeing each other through loving eyes again. They were once one of the HOTTEST couples in daytime. It CAN happen again and they DON'T have to be in their 20's to do it.
I really think this is a very important character. The Dixie character gives the show a balance. This is something that was missing, so please donot write out Dixie.

In the 30 years I've been watching AMC, I was never more happy than when Cady McClain returned. I'm devasted about her departure and I'm calling it quits with watching this show, as I'm sure thousands more fans will.
When I read this I thought "you have got to be kidding" AMC writers wise up your rating are at a all time low and will only go down more if Cady leaves.

I watched my first episode of AMC in 1971 and have been a faithful viewer ever since. Tad and Dixie's love for each other has remained true through all their trials. Please keep Dixie and allow her and Tad to finally have a family and be happy together with Kate!!!

Cady's return to AMC was what got me back into my soaps. I've loved this character for 15 years and I believe that the Tad/Dixie storyline is the key to All My Children. DO NOT get rid of Dixie.
