Please don't let Cady! Why did AMC bring her back just to get rid of her again? This madness must stop, the fans are sick & tired of all of the vets being let go! Tad & Dixie are a supercouple & it's a shame that the fans haven't go to enjoy them. Don't fire Cady!

AMC needs to keep Dixie! Tad and Dixie are a great couple! With Kate they could start another Joe/Ruth couple that is needed on the show. Bad move to kill Dixie!

WHY would you do this? Tad is not Tad without Dixie. If you wanted her dead you should have left her that way. Obviously you thought of a storyline for her or you would not have brought her back. So what happened? Go with what you have now. If you can't believe your fans, maybe we need to rethink about whose fans we really want to be. No one likes to think they are being ignored. Don't write Dixie out of the show, it would not be a good move.
I have watched AMC since I was 3yrs old! TPTB are getting rid of all the veterans and replacing them with people nobody cares about. It's getting harder & harder to remain a viewer! Keep Dixie!!
It leaves me speachless that AMC would fire Cady. I was so looking forward to seeing another happy family on this show. Tad and Dixie are a huge part of the show. It breaks my heart that they have to put the fans and the cast through the loss of Dixie again. I'm through with the show!

I feel completely betrayed by TPTB at All My Children. They are heartless. I have waited 18 years for Tad and Dixie to have a child together. I have written in over and over. And what do you do? I am so upset over the firing of Cady McClain. She, and her character of Dixie, are the main reason taht I tune into AMC every day. You lose Cady, you lose me! I can not understand why you feel the need to kill the character of Dixie and thus ending the 20year love story to end all love stories. Shame on whomever decided to let Cady go....it was the biggest mistakes you could have made. My only advice is that you somehow make it right for Cady, and for all of the fans!

In 1996 on AW TPTB killed off the beloved Frankie Frame, busting years of storyline for the sake of one cheap week of sweeps ratings. Bogus focus groups were cited as the reason for picking Frankie.Viewers were enraged, disgusted and tuned out. This was the beginning of the end for the show ratings-wise and 3 years later AW was canceled. Sound familiar? It's your nail and coffin AMC.
I left soaps years ago, but came back due to Dixie and Tivo allowed me to stay around through the dreck of the show. This is the dumbest stunt I've ever imagined. Completely ridiculous. Talk about a giant F-U to the fans.
Wow. The "death" of Dixie when she was in Europe is why I stopped watching AMC. Her coming back last Christmas is why I started again. If Cady leaves (again) and this time as a dead Dix, then that's it for me. Not interested in this show anymore. The only thing I care about on this show is the possiblity that Tad and Dix will get back together. Without Dixie, there's nothing for me worth watching.
Please!Please!Please!keep Cady on AMC. I think that she is a very prominent actress to AMC and well as her chemistry w/MEK. She is my favorite actress on the show and you need to do whatever it takes to keep her. What a travesty! A once magnificent show is now a sinking ship. Newsflash ABC execs (Frons,JHC & MMT) -your lack of vision and talent has torpedoed this show NOT the veteran actors. These vets have carried and supported this show for years now amid your lame ass writing and this is how you repay them! First, VI, then JB and now Cady! You three execs should be ashamed of yourselves for disrepsecting your gifted actors/actresses, loyal viewers and for ruining a once brilliant show. Why???Let Dixie,Tad,and Katie have a relationship on Tv like a normal family. Make a story showing them as a family with the ups and downs of a normal family like the ones on this earth. Let them raise Katie on Tv and show the good and bad times of a family(like getting sick,going to the doctor, going on vacation,getting a serious illness and betting the odds and getting better. A pen or pencil can do wonders on paper. All we see now is who is fooling,sleeping around,or something that we see all the time. The better the story line the better the soap awards will be. Cady & Michael Knight are the only two reasons left for me to watch this show anymore. I love their characters together! They are the best actors, show the best real emotion! They are authentic!!! We care about them - and now as it looks like we will be getting what we want (a reunion with each other and their daughter), you pull the plug?????? It just doesn't make sense. When she goes, I hope Michael Knight follows her and I will never watch this show again. I have watched for 25 years!!!! Don't you care about the fans anymore? Who exactly do you think the fans are anyway?

Watched this show since Day One. What those who are currently in charge have done to the major characters and families is really disgusting. To kill Dixie after being led on for a "happy ending" is the straw that breaks the camel's back. Shame on you AMC. Agnes Nixon should haunt you all.

Please save Cady McClain. I think tptb waited until she taped her last scenes before announcing it to the mags. They knew there would be a fallout and now there is. I stopped watching the show is 1996 and 2000 when she left before and if she isn't brought back, I won't watch AMC again. Sorry, but there isn't any reason for me to continue without Cady McClain on the show. Sorry!
I'm surprised to read this and hope it's not true. I only started watching amc again after a few years off when I saw that Cady was back. Tad and Dixie are the only storyline that keeps me interested.
I'm a 27 year old viewer, and I watched AMC for Tad and Dixie. I don't have the words to express how disrespectful this is to the fans, to lead them to believe they're getting a Tad/Dixie/Kate reunion only to take it away and kill Dixie for good. It's a foolish decision that will only serve to further alienate fans.
Firing Cady McClain was a huge mistake. This is another stupid decision in a string of senseless ones. Clearly, the executives are not interested in writing the stories I want to see, stories about family and romance. They're too busy writing murder mysteries, science fiction stories (like Erica's un abortion), and getting rid of all the characters who made the show great.
What a horrible decision, AMC, and one that just cost you many loyal fans, including me. Cady McClain was a joy to watch, and she and Michael E. Knight together -- Tad and Dixie -- were the ONLY reason I watched. As of today, I no longer consider myself a fan. Unless you reconsider and keep Cady and keep Dixie ALIVE.

For 18 years I have followed the amazing love story of Tad and Dixie, supporting AMC even in those times when it very difficult to do so. I can't tell you how much abuse I have taken on online discussion boards supporting McTavish only to have her stab me and all Tad and Dixie fans in the back.

My favorite soap couple of all time is Td and Dixie. Michael and Cady are magic together. Cady is such a talented actress. Please no not kill her off. Thousands of fans have waited and waited for their reunion with their daughter. And there have been so many teasers claiming it was coming, which kept many of us - myself included - watching during a time when this show was/is far from its prime. And now, this is how the show repays its fans. This is how the show repays Cady (and Michael) after so many years. Ridiculous. Like many others, I am furious. And also like many others, if this happens, I will no longer watch. I have nothing to watch for.

I've been watching AMC since I was three and one io the earliest stories I remember was the introduction od Dixie/Adam Kidnapping J.R. In my opinon, Cady McClain is a veteran soap opera actress and Dixie herself is soap opera royality. You cannot kill off such a strong character in this way, without do irrevoicable damage to the show.
The public has long wanted a Tad/Dixie child. They have total chemistry together and the writers have so much opportunity...why does EVERY marriage problem have to deal with infidelity...there are a bazillion ways they can struggle and work things out...especially when you have yours, mine and ours situations. Make the writers be creative KEEP CADY MCCLAIN & MICHAEL KNIGHT.
I am saddened and angered by this decision of AMC's to kill off Dixie. Forgetting the insult to Cady McClain herself, it is an insult to the longtime fans. We waited 18 years to see Tad and Dixie get the child they always dreamed of. Ludicrous to think Dixie will never know that child. This is such an outrage. When Cady goes, so do I.
