I would rather watch a show with all of the great characters that have been fired or killed off- these new storylines pale in comparison to the old days. Bye-bye.
Why did you bother bringing her back in the first place! This is a horrible way to treat faithful fans who continue to suffer through horrible story-lines lately. I have watched AMC since 1974 and am on the verge of quitting - and this may be the plot that pushes over that edge!
I think that it is stupid to bring Dixie back, reunite her with her friends and family, have her search for her daughter and with her and Tad growing close again, it's just Dumb to have her killed off. Her and Tad deserve one another. They are perfect couple. If you need to have someone else killed off why not make it Annie. She is a boring Charectrist anyways.
I have watched AMC for 13 years, and I really believe AMC has hit a new low. Tad and Dixie fans as well as all fans of AMC deserve better than this. To make us watch a long drawn out story about how dixie wasn't really dead (from di being dixie's sister, to dixie, to her sister again, and then no... dixie really was alive..) and then suffer through thinking the wrong child was kate... to have dixie find kate only to be killed off....yet again. Not only is this utterly absurd, but it is a slap in the face to all AMC viewers.
It is disturbing to see AMC let go yet another pillar of the show's foundation. Cady McClain is nothing but of the strongest pedigree of actresses in daytime. Just cancel the show. AMC has lost my respect and my viewing.

Don't do this - it's the writers' fault that the Dixie-Tad storyline has been so harsh! It's *not* Cady Mc Clain's fault! I remember when Dixie first came on AMC - she and Tad are like GH's Luke & Laura. Through the years you just know they have to be together -- killing her off like this is a HUGE mistake and will alienate diehard AMC fans! This couple is an all-time soap great -- DON'T DO THIS!
It is a huge mistake for AMC to kill Dixie. Tad and Dixie have that special spark that keep long time fans watching. The other couples on the show don't have this same rapport. They are so close to getting Kate back--while kill Dixie?
Dixie coming back is he reason I started to watch the soap again. When she left, I stopped watching. If she leaves - I know at least a dozen people who will stop watching the AMC soap. The Tad and Dixie storyline was just getting good, especially with them pulling together. Please don't write Dixie out - I really was finally enjoying the show again.
I watched AMC for 28 years. It has been boooring for the last few years and now it is getting good again,it will be ruined when they cancel Dixie. Is she too old? AMC does not like older women, except for the forever young Erica.
To kill Dixie is to kill Tad, JR, Kate...how can they move on from that? The answer: they CAN'T. So stupid to bring her back and then take her away when you've built so many storylines around her. Where is our happy ending? How about getting rid of the talentless newbies you keep hiring and keeping around the true actors, the people the fans have invested their time and emotion in...badly done studio brass, badly done...

It really stinks how AMC continues to get rid of Veteran characters the fans care about and replace them with silly little teenagers that I personally fast forward.Please do not get rid of another beloved character. Will the loss of many fans be worth it?

I became a fan of AMC, while watching with my mother when I was just a little girl. My favorites were TAD AND DIXIE! I can't believe you are going to kill her off! My 20 year habit will be ending the day Dixie dies. I'm done, and I guess I'll have more time to do things with my mother, because she's disgusted too and is giving up HER 25 year habit. So sad. I hope AMC regrets this decision for a long time to come.
I'm really sorry to see that you have chosen to kill off Dixie after trying so hard to get Cady McClain back on the show. I kept on watching throughout the whole Babe and Bianca baby switch storyline even though I hated it. But, I think this is the last straw.

I have been a fan of Tad and Dixie since I was 13 years old. This is one of the saddest days in all of soap history. If Dixie/Cady goes, I will no longer watch this show. With the introduction of Zarf and the exit of the talented Cady McClain, the show has become terrible. This is awful.

This is crazy. Tad & Dixie finally need some happiness with their daughter. Should everyone's life be filled with pain and separation, or for once, can't a couple be happy and STAY happy? Crazy. TPTB are rotten unhappy people who are unable to write happy endings.

This is ridiculous. Tad and Dixie are the reason that I started watching AMC as a child, and Dixie's return was the reason I started watching again. I will be leaving for the Y&R. Apparently they are concerned about their fans.

Cady is a great actress and she and Tad have great chemistry. I have been a loyal viewer for 31 years. I bet if you keep Cady and bring back Julia Barr and Opal and write some interesting storylines, your ratings would really jump.
How can the writers be so oblivious to what the fans want? Why can't it be together forever? Dixie did not have the best "return" scenes written but it was so very good to see her with "Tad
once again.
All of this is over the fact that Cady had the chutzpah to speak for the many fans who thought the firing of Julia and Vincent was an outrage! To say that it's b/c of some focus group wanting more Babe and Krystal is not only ridiculous, but an out right lie! I don't know which is more insulting, the fact that you keep firing these talented veterans, or the flagrant lie that people want MORE of Babe and Krystal! Please, less of them, more of the really talented artists like Cady. I have watched AMC w/my mom since I was in grade school. Tad and Dixie have been my reason to watch for 18 years now! I remember last year how ecstatic I was to have Cady coming back, but all that seems to have been a waste...why bring her back at all? This is America, we have the right to voice our opinions, Cady should not have been fired for speaking her mind. If anything Frons should be the one to be let go b/c he obviously has no clue as to how to run this business that he works in. The fans are screaming in multitudes (look at this petition alone) against this injustice, and if Frons or anybody has a grain of decency and intelligence they will hear the fans and reverse this grave mistake before it is too late. If it does play out as they have planned, then AMC has lost a faithful viewer of 23yrs in me!
I have been a loyal AMC viewer virtually from day one. Do not kill Dixie. It is not what is best for AMC. Romance is what viewers want and none is better than Tad and Dixie. You promised a Christmas miracle and now give your viewers the Christmas Miracle you promised us.
After 30+ years of being a loyal AMC viewer (18 of those rooting for Tad and Dixie,) this is how my loyalty is rewarded? Cady's last day on screen, will be my last day of watching AMC. There's still time to fix the mess you've made of what once was the best daytime drama of all time. Afterall, Dixie's death has yet to air. Come on ABC--for once admit you've made a huge mistake and give your loyal fans what they deserve.
This is truly the end for me and AMC if Dixie is killed off. Before there was always the possibility of Cady returning to the show. I tuned in and waited. If she is "killed" off this time. I will finally be done, finished, with AMC. Lose Dixie and you lose me and a host of others. Think this decision through.

I've watched AMC for over 30 years.I quit watching the last time Dixie was "killed".Tad and Dixie were the only people I liked on the show, still are.I was SO EXCITED when she came back and there was hope for her and Tad again.If she is killed off for good...her last day will be my last day watching AMC FOR GOOD!!!

Cady was the only reason I watched All My Children. I quit watching the last time she left and I will quit this time too. The show had great possibilities with exploring relationships with Dixie and many characters (Tad, JR, Jamie, Babe, Adam, Krystal, Kendall, Zach, Ryan, and many more.) All that potential wasted.
We waited years for Cady to return and for her to reunite with Tad and for them to be reunited with Kate.I can't believe TPTB would do this to the fans and to Cady!

i guess all my children doesn't really care about their fans. i was so angry with them when they fired vi and jb. now i am even more furious with them for letting cady go. i was so fortunat enough to meet cady this past nov at the super soap weekend and i got a picture taken with her and let me tell you she was one of the nicest people i've ever meet she was a sweetheart. she doesn't derserve this non of the vets do. their the ones who are keeping this show on the air. now i've been watching this show since i was 6 with my mom and now i'm 25 but no longer once cady leaves i leave. all my children just lost another veiwer.
Have the writers at All My Children lost their minds??? I could not believe it when they were dumb enough to let go of Anna Stuart (the finest actress on daytime television) but now they are firing Cady Mcclain!!! This is so crazy. Ms. McTavish has proven herself to be a complete idiot!
This the last straw. The show has lost so many of the very best actors. I am finished with it. I only came back to see them get back together again. I could write this script myself. Everytime Babee and JR get together they say the same thing. The same with kendall ( boring) and Erica. So ta ta and I hpe that Cady Mclain is p1cked up by a show that will really appreciate her. We have hardly had any lengthy scenes between Tad an Dix...What a waste....

I have been watching this show almost since it's inception and, for the life of me, cannot fathom where it is going these past few years. The writing is uneven and the actor have to consistently struggle with bad material to make it look atchable. It was AMC's loss when Ms. McClain left the first time and a lessing that she returned. Unfoturnately, her talent has been wasted by the writers Do not throw this gifted actress away. Talent is hard to come by - you have it - do not lose it !!!!
I grew up watching this show and continue to watch it with my son every day. I am horribly disappointed in how AMC and Disney have chosen to treat veteran actors. A terrible lack in judgment shows the low level of professionalism in this industry.

I been a all my children since i was 2 years old, and i have to say Cady Mcclain is one of the best actress you have on there, tad/dixie has a great chemistry and i love them,and for her to leave now when her daughter is in town i would love to see them reconnect,Why should Jr should lose his mother again and dixie is a grandmother now let her watch her grandson grow up,I wont stop watching All my children but i will be deeply sadden by her leaving if anyone should be fired from All my children it is Mctavish.So please dont fire her and let her survive the attack cady Mcclain is a essentcial to this show and we the fans love her and want her to stay, I think the fans should have a say in this. thank you.
