Please do not kill Dixie!!! She and Tad were the reason I began watching AMC back in the 80's. i fell in love with them and never stopped. This is the most horrible news ever. I haven't watched AMC since the news came out - not even on SoapNet.
I've watched this show my whole life(17 years) and this is the biggest mistake this show will ever make... it's already going down the drain... ABC, you're killing it if you kill Dixie.. my mom and I will never watch again and my mom has watched it since the premiere
I can't believe that you are commiting such a huge mistake. I would like to see Tad and Dixie back to together and reunited with their daughter. I have waited to long to see this, for you to go and kill her off. I will stop watching the show if you do this, and I have been watching the show for 25 years.

Please don't kill Dixie. She is one of only a few characters that I care enough about to keep watching AMC. Instead of some of these new characters with no history, keep Dixie so she can finally be happy with Tad and Kate. We've waited a year for this!!!
There are so few stories left I'll watch, it isn't worth the time. Though Dixie's return has been screwed up, I was waiting for her reunion with Tad and Kate.
Please do not kill off Dixie. I have been an AMC fan for 15 years, but will cease to watch the show, should they decide to do away with Dixie. Cady McClain is an intelligent and brilliant actress who brings much depth to her character-by killing her off and letting go of David and Brooke, you have insulted the intelligence and desires of your audience.
This is absolutely ridiculous! I can't believe AMC is choosing to fire a classy actress and kill the opportunity for some great fan-favorite story lines while maintaining a story line that has been formulated to illicit shock and reflects a poorly created caricature of a transgendered person. Exactly how many fans would you like to offend, AMC?

I can't believe you are killing of Dixie. Dang it, we have waited a long time to have Tad and Dixie back together again. Can't you see you are killing the show. Take some lessons from years ago when AMC was a very popular soap. It was family oriented with the Martins at the core. What is going on? I have watched since the very first day. This is rediculous!! AMC is getting rid of all the great actors and replacing them with others who can not act. I am so upset over this. This is the final straw for me as an avid watcher of AMC for 25 years. If Dixie goes, I am writing this show off for good.
I cannot express how utterly disappointed I am in the Tad/Dixie disaster that TPTB have created for all of the AMC fans. I have watched since the beginning of the show and when Dixie goes, I go.
AMC has (or has HAD) some really fine actors. I've enjoyed watching this soap from the first year it was on. But lately, they've been firing many of the best and keeping some very young and very green new "talent" and sacrificing the best. It seems to me that the actors shouldn't be fired--the writers should. We've seen some unimaginative and plain BAD writing in the last few years. Now, the cast is being "trimmed" of its best. Like many others, I greeted the return of "Dixie" with cheers. Now they've decided to "kill off" one of reasons I watch this show. This is the only soap I watch, and with the exit of Cady McClain, Julia Barr, and David Irizarry, I won't be watching much longer.
Enough already. It's bad enough you force the horrid Zarf story on us, now this. AMC has become a farce. We want charactors with a history, and storylines involving them. I never thought I would say it, but if AMC dosen't get it tigether it will lose another longtime viewer.

For as long as we waited for Tad and Dixie to get back together, this is as unfair to us as it is to the actress who plays Dixie. I'm really getting tired of TPTB ruining our show.

I am a veiwer since 1980, and I am done. Can't stand Krystal and Babe or Zoe/Zach. Losing Vincent Irizarry and Julie Barr was bad enough, but this is the final straw. I went from anticipating who the slayer was, to just not caring. I have deprogrammed my DVR as of Monday the 22nd
You should fire your writers - not kill off the character of Dixie. Its a shame and you will lose another viewer if this is done - the soap will perish for sure
Please keep Cady,this show is going down hill fast! To many new young people,most of us who watch the show are not intrested in teen troubles. We need Dixie and Tad to be the new Ruth and Joe of Pine Valley!
I am appalled to know how "the powers that be" could treat the veterns of AMC! No wonder Y&R has such high ratings! I am finished with AMC after all these years-truly finished!! It was with disgust that I learned that Cady McClain is being fired from AMC. To wait for Dixie's return was interminable, and now to not allow Tad and Dixie to reunite and have their Kate, is in my opinion a foolhardy and rash decision. You are killing AMC, by your deliberate ignorance of what the fans want and need; romance, love, and family.

I've been a fan of AMC as well for over 20 yrs. Tad has always been a favorite and when they paired him with the Dixie character -- AMC struck gold. I continued to watch through all the departures of Ms. McClain but, not after this. I don't understand the carnage that's happening on AMC -- give me a break. Who's next? Susan Lucci. ABC/Disney is making a huge mistake in firing Cady McClain. They have let go of too many veterans in order to cater to new characters who the fans have no investment in. I will no longer watch this show that I have wathed since it's onset. Shame on ABC and DISNEY!

I don't believe the writers are killing Dixie off..Cady is the best actress on the show and she is worth every dollar they pay her. This makes no sense at all.Are the writers trying to bring down the ratings more..Bringing back Cady was one of the smartest moves they ever made and killing her off is definately the worst decision they ever made..I'm beginning to think the writers should be let go. I have waited 4 years for Dixie to come back only to find she is being killed off. This kills me too. I will never watch this soap or any other from now on. I have watched AMC sense the very first day it aired. I am 58 years old now. But no more, I am done with this show if Cady leaves.

I've watched AMC since the 70's and the past few months I haven't watched as faithful. It became boring and way too many new characters have been introduced. Taking Dixie off totally ruins what is left of the show. I thought Tad and Dixie would be the ones to rebuild the Martin family and the storylines would continue right down through their children. The writers forgot the name of the show is ALL MY CHILDREN
Firing a Cady is simply a bad idea. There are other characters I wouldn't mind to see leave, like Annie, or this Zarf/Zoe character. Please keep Cady!!

I have been watching AMC since the mid 70's and I have seen alot of great (and some not so great) story lines....most of which HAVE been GREAT! Dixie's story line lately may not be all that exciting...but she IS a strong person for the show and killing her off (especially when she doesn't want to go) would be a BIG mistake! PLEASE keep her!
I have watched AMC since 1970. It has become less of a priority day by day. We endured the poor writing of Dixie's return, to now see her killed off, just when she and Tad were about to be reunited. You are letting all of the great characters go, and making us watch all of the newbies, we care nothing about. No wonder the ratings are falling.
