I can not believe that you are going to kill off Dixie. We waited so long for Tad and Dixie and Kate. You guys are ruining a great show by constantly getting rid of the best of the staff and hiring young untalented people with no part in the story line at all.

I can't believe your are killing Dixie off of All My Children. I have been watching the show since its debut. First you get rid of Brooke, Opal and numerous other people that have been with the show for years. You have brought so many new people that are really boring. I am really thinking about watching another show that is on at the sametime as All My Children. I am really glad you brought Bianca back but the Zar character is really a turn off. I think the program has really lost its roots of being a family show. Keep Dixie get rid of Zar or one of the other characters. I also heard that you are getting rid of Zack.
Remember your loyal viewers. We have stuck with the poor writing, the landscape of "mtv" age characters, and the poor treatment of veteran actors and actresses. But to fire Dixie/Cady just as she is about to be reunited with her daughter and former husband shows just how little the writers care about those folks who keep them employed, the loyal viewers.
Remember, you lost Dixie, you lost thousands of viewers.
I really like Cady McClain and was glad to see that she came back home to her role as Dixie. It would be a shame to lose her all over again when there is so much story left to tell.
Dixie is a part of Tad, and Cady is a great actress. TO bring her back in such dramatic fashion and then to kill her off, the writers are completely off their rocker. This will ruin the show for me, as I was looking forward to Tax and Dixie's reunion with their discovered daughter! I was really upset by the way the way they let Julia Barr go! Julia deserves to get what she wanted from AMC as her dedication and loyalty to the show for 30 years should be good enough to give her the RED CARPET!
After years of being a loyal fan of this show, I'm DONE if Dixie is killed off! I've seen too many talented cast members leave the show, in a trade off for much less talented "kids".
Story lines are lame as of late, and I believe the answer is simple .... THE WRITERS NEED TO UTILIZE THE REAL TALENT THEY HAVE BEFORE THE SHOW IS HISTORY!!!
So many of the soaps today have become a joke with their crazy storylines. AMC was one of the few that had believable story lines and characters everyone could relate to. You brought back Dixie and not only could fans relate but it was like seeing an old friend for those of us who have been loyal and watched for years and years and years. Waiting to see Dixie and Tad get back together and find their daughter was anticipated by milions. We have waited and watched very patiently. I am afraid that AMC will certainly see a major decline in their fan base and if a Daytime Emmy is something you crave I am sure you can forget it. Your story lines are becoming boring and well---stupid. If you need to fire someone to save money or add something to the show--start with Zarf, stupid story line--then Di, boring---next Amanda, boring again. Please do what will make your loyal long time fans happy and even more loyal and dedicated to AMC-- KEEP CADY!! FIRE SOMEONE ELSE. I WILL NO LONGER WATCH AMC AND I PERSONALLY KNOW OF APPROXIMATELY 50 PEOPLE WHO WILL ALSO TURN YOU OFF. This is an outrage. Please bring Dixie back to the show. We were finally on our way to seeing Kate reunited with Tad and Dixie. I have been a viewer of AMC for over 20 years. This decision will stop me from watching the show.
Great actress, beloved character. I've watched this show since the beginning, and this is the most upset I've felt about the firing of an actress. Tad & Dixie had started to reunite, and about to find Kate. Killing off Dixie is so unfair to those who have followed this supercouple for so many years.

I TiVo AMC...I fast forward thru alot these days, like Krystal & Adam, Julia & Jamie, Aiden & Di, JR & Babe, Erica & whoever she's with at the moment, but I ALWAYS watch Tad & Dixie...I guess I won't even need to use my TiVo if I would be fast forwarding through your entire show without Dixie...
Dixie Cooney has been a long-time favorite character and her portrayer is a unique and talented actress. Both are important members of Pine Valley and AMC. Please rethink your decision and keep Dixie!!

I'm so glad that Dixie was brought back to the show. I feel that she is a key character. I was looking forward to Dixie finding Kate and getting back with Tad. I can't believe that the writers are thinking about killing off her character. I've waited so long for her return and I want her to stay. If her character is killed off I don't feel that I can watch the show any longer. I don't life the Zarf character and would rather see this person go instead. Please do not kill off Dixie.
As a loyal viewers for over 25 years and a fan of Tad & Dixie, I cannot forgive the firing of Cady. If you want to kill your show, you're doing a great job.
I started awtching during the storyline involving Bianca's rape. Of the four women "teased" for this storyline it is obvious that Bianca and Kendall will not be killed off. It was almost as obvious that it would have to be Babe because Dixie and Tad are about to have very rich storyline fodder. To kill Dixie, after bringing her back and just finding out that Kathy is Kate, is sacrificing more of the show's veterans for no good reason and in this case, it's damaging and not advancing the storyline. Even though I haven't been watching very long, this senseless sacrifice of a core character for NO GOOD REASON will likely convince me to stop watching in teh future.
First...I am a 35 year viewer of AMC! A very loyal fan! I am outraged that you would get rid of Cady/Dixie, but ESPECIALLY NOW. We were soooo close to her and Tad finding out about Kathy. I am livid! This is the third strike for me....I LOVED Brooke and David!
I have been watching AMC from almost day one. Tad and Dixie are to AMC what Luke and Laura are to GH. We had to suffering watching her return be almost worse than Maria, and now when we are FINALLY get The Tad and Dixie Scences we had years ago. They are going to Kill Dixie ?? WTF, I won't watch the babe and Zarf show. BLAH!
I am a long time viewer of AMC and have been watching it for many, many years. Lately I have been very unhappy with the decisions made on the show. I was extremely disappointed to see Brooke and David go, and I even said so in a Focus Group I participated in. Apparently, no one listened to me! Also didn't want to see Simone and Erin killed off. There was so much potential with Erin, especially. Now it seems completely pointless to kill Dixie after bringing her back. I for one do not want to see Krystal with Tad, or Krystal at all! If the Satin Slayer needs another victim and you don't want to kill off Kendall or Babe (though who knows why) feel free to sacrifice Colby as an "accidental" victim. Or Maggie even. Or Di -- I cannot stand her. It appears I am certainly not the only one who's been extremely disappointed with the direction the show has taken lately. I read somewhere that AMC was trying to get new viewers, but they won't do much good if all the existing viewers abandon the show. It's a shame, really.

I can't believe that AMC has been writing off some of the best loved characters. I am really getting disgusted with the direction the show is taking. The AMC fans are getting ripped off by the latest victim of their ax, Cady McClain. I was so looking forward to a Tad and Dixie reunion, them finding Kate, and the three of them lfinding some happiness. It's what all long-time Tad and Dixie fans have been hoping for, and now that hope has been snuffed out. Shame on AMC.

I too will not watch any more if Dixie is killed off. She is a veteran actor....why kill her off. She may not be as popular as Susan Lucci, but it would be almost the same effect. Find another way to make a story line.

To kill off Dixie is the worst idea I have ever heard of. Talking about shooting their ratings in the foot. I predict that a huge majority of viewers will be so disgusted they will quit watching. Dixie's character is what got me hooked on the show in. Then when she went to ATWT I watched her there, but continued with AMC. Now I'm done!!! No more AMC, I just wasted a year of watching your show to see something happen with Dixie and now you are killing her.

I first started watching AMC when Tad and Dixie were newlyweds. I want to see them reunite and live a long life together!! If Dixie really is killed off, there is no hope left that they will ever get together and I'll have to stop watching. Its been painful watching all the veteran actors fade away with no explanation anyway. Do NOT take Dixie away!!!
I have watched AMC for 25 years-but after Dixie is killed off I will never watch again. Dixie's return was the only reason I came back to the show. Now I have no reason to watch. A stupid decision like this should seal AMC's casket.

I have to say that JR Chandler is one of my favorite characters and to runi the memory of Dixie's character and bring her back so negatively is shameful. But what is even more shameful is that you are letting this talented actress slip through your fingers and ruining this soap. My mother and I are signing off if you continue with your plight because it is just too painful to watch and we are displeased.

I am signing this petition not only for myself, but also on behalf of my late sister. We've watched Tad and Dixie from the beginning, when Dixie and Will came to Pine Valley. They have (obviously) tons of fans, including us! And to dismiss Cady for insubordination? Paleez! Save Dixie/Cady, and save AMC.

I have been waiting for the Tad & Dixie reunion since her return, and to think you will take it all away along with their reunion with Kate is unbelievable. A major character's death may be good story, but AMC can't afford to lose anymore veteran's or anymore fans!
I have been watching AMC since 1970. Over the last few years, due to storylines, I have found myself watching less and less. I started watching everyday again when Dixie finally came back. With Cady's departure, I will no longer watch the show. It is disgraceful how little respect you are showing to all the loyal fans who have watched the show from the beginning.
