I have watched AMC since 1989, and the Tad and Dixie romances and storylines were always my favorites, and they are one of the best couples of daytime. Please do not kill Dixie off again. If Cady has to leave, at least have her leave town or something like that so that she can at least come back again. Killing her off again is absolutely unncessary. I will no longer be watching when that is over.

The fact that the fans don't matter to anyone, makes me very upset. Cady/Dixie was a bright light in a very dark show called All My Children. My TV will be dark when the show airs on February 1st. It will be the first time since 1971 that I won't be watching.

For her to leave without reuniting Tad and his child would be a crime to loyal viewers. I remember Dixies first day on AMC. thats how long i've been a fan and, to see her go again would be a sin.There is alot this character can offer the AMC storyline.

I was so looking forward to seeing Tad and Dixie reunite and find Kate. The show has been much too dark and depressing lately and needed the joy and laughter that only Tad and Dixie can supply.

I am outraged at Dixie's departure. I don't know that I will continue to watch the show. I hate that Brooke is just gone and that other characters are being murdered not to mention the whole trans-gender thing that is taking up sooo much time. I have watched AMC for years, and have never been so upset as to write a comment. Get a clue writers! Dixie, Tad, Brooke, Adam, Erica, Jack, these are the core characters and I agreee with the others...looooong drawn out stories and NO climax. We want Dixie to have her baby and for her to raise her on the show. Zarf, Zoe? Give me a break!!!!!!And another think Zach needs a better script, you all give him junk and he is still able to make something out of it.
I have been watching AMC for 30 years and killing off Dixie is such an insult to the viewers. We are not idiots. Why would AMC go to the trouble of bringing Dixie back, almost finding Kate, and then snatch it away just befre it happens. My biggest complaint with this show is that the writers don't know when to give us our bone. Every time there is a long drawn out susspenseful storyline, we ae never given a proper climax. This is no different. Remember, this show is for the viewers, give us what we want. Do not kill dixie.

PLEASE DON'T DO IT!!! i've been watching since donna came to town (?1977), and started videotaping in 1990. i certainly don't tune in to watch the disposeble characters like del. but lately it seems like they're ALL disposeable characters. there's no vision in the writing, storylines and characters are just suddenly sidelined and fizzle with no resolution. not one character has said anything remotely interesting in a long time, probably not since tad's confession to dixie. i didn't agree with the choice of murderer, but the episode was incredibly compelling BECAUSE of the history between the two characters and the TALENT of the actors. there's very little left to keep a fan interested. this serial killer should just kill the entire cast and be done with it; maybe that's the plan?
i really had hope for improvement when dixie came back. the chemistry between tad and dixie is incredible, i still remember the reconciliation they had in 1998 (in a NYC hotel room) where they actually worked through their problems in a believable way, nothing held back. it allowed a viewer to understand accept dixie's choice to forgive tad for his affair. i'm very let down by the complete waste of dixie since she returned, i had some hope things were turning around after the trial, waited patiently for months, then i hear she's being killed off and i feel that watching further would be a waste of time. i'm too busy to spend my precious little free time watching del paw amanda or colby throwing a temper tantrum, and it's painful to see the veterans struggle with the uninteresting dialog they're given. there's so much talent and history available in pine valley. it seems incomprehensible that there's no future for these characters.

First we lose great characters like David and Brooke, then we have to endure these extremely poorly written storylines, and now you want to take Dixie away from us too when we just finally got her back. No other character has chemistry with Tad like Dixie does. Cady has delivered time and time again for the show and this is what she gets in return? This is incredible. And what an injustice to the loyal viewers who love this character. She was just starting to resemble the Dixie we have always known and loved. Why would you ruin the soap again with such a poor decision? I just don't understand. Are you intentionally trying to run the soap into the ground. Please rehire her and apologize for making such a ludicrous lapse in judgement in terms of what is best for the show. You could dump a bunch of other meaningless characters and keep Dixie instead. Don't ruin the soap even more by letting Cady get away. Please rethink this decision. If not, I will definitely be switching channels and I will make sure to spread the word for others to do so as well.
This is the most insane thing I have ever heard of - why would they bring Dixie back only to kick her off. I was angry when they dumped Brooke, pissed off when they fired David. NOW I am just plain SAD. I have been watching AMC since 1978 and I am just not going to watch anymore. Dixie and Tad deserve to find love again and raise their daughter, Kate. I so do not understand why AMC would fire Cady McClain. The fans have always wanted her back and with Tad Martin. AMC finally was able to bring her back to the show and instead of figuring out a great storyline for her, they dump her. What kind of loyalty is this to the AMC fans or to this wonderful actress they were lucky to have return only one year ago. For years they kept her memory alive with fans just in case they could ever get her to come back. This doesn't make any sense after they shout about her return as they did, then had her at Supersoap weekend in Nov., and built this big,long story about finding Tad and Dixie's baby girl, Kate. The Christmas miracle of finding Kate is no miracle when Dixie and Tad will not get to raise her or even be any sort of family with their child. This will greatly effect Tad and J.R. particularly, and not in good ways. How much can they take? We invest in this key storyline for months, and no real payoff. How sad. We don't care about Kate herself, we care about her because we care about Dixie and Tad and their child. . Who cares about the murders? The murders don't work when you force other stories out just to fit and try to pull us in and try to make us care whether some newbie, talented or not, is guilty of murder or whatever. I'm so tired of my soaps dumping longtime favorites to save money or whatever, and just use lots of young newbies. Losing the characters of Brooke, David, and now likely, Dixie, has really ruined AMC. It's the longtime favorites, people we have come to love through their long history, that keeps us tuning in to our favorite shows week after week, year after year. Pretty soon there will be no reasons left to watch my onetime favorite soap. Please do not fire Cady McClain, and keep the character of Dixie Martin alive!!

Cady McClain is one of the very best actresses on the show and you want to get rid of her and piss off a massive amount of viewers. I just don't get it. Her storyline was finally getting on the right track no thanks to the substandard writing lately and now she gets let go. I am so blown away by such a poor decision. I have been a loyal fan of AMC for 20+ years, but this is it for me. If you want to get rid of actors to save money, get rid of characters like Di, Dell, Sean, Colby, Dani, Annie, Maggie and other actors who do not deliver stellar performances like Cady McClain. I just don't get how these decisions are made. If anything, throw it out to the public and get an idea of how we feel about the characters on the show before you go making a bad situation worse. This is just bad business practice. The viewing public is always the one to suffer these ridiculous decisions and we are the ones that support the upkeep of the show. Go figure. Please consider listening to how we feel about this decision. Dixie is a signature character. Its just not fair to rob the viewing public of enjoying this character and the beautiful love story she and the character of Tad share. I had stopped watching AMC and didnt start watching again until i was flipping through the channels and Dixie was back. Get rid of Colby, Krystal, Kendal. I don't really care but keep the good ones, Dixie, David Hayward, Brooke. Or talks of cancelling will become a reality.

I started watching AMC in the late '90's because of Tad and Dixie. When she left the last time, I lost interest. Then you brought her back...the possibilities that you haven't even explored with her character and you are getting rid of her? I think I'll return to CBS.
I have been a loyal fan of AMC for the last fifteen years, and Tad and Dixie have been the best thing to happen to that show over those years-BY FAR. Yesterday was my last day watching AMC, period. I think I talked some friends into stopping their viewing, too. I find it ridiculous that the show continues to give veteran actors the shaft in the interest of giving airtime to younger and miles-less-impressive actors.
I'm extremely taken aback by AMC's actions regarding the departing of Dixie. The lackluster writing and bad decision making on AMC will evidently lead to its demise. Long, long ago, it was a wonderful soap, and now, it's just unbearable to watch.
I've been a amc fan for about 8yrs and i cant believe they fired her. she is a fine actress and i will miss her dearly. i dont think it's right to let her go so soon when there is more to her storyline. I was hopping they would reunite her with beloved tad.
I will not tune in if Dixie is fired. The story line need to continue her as JR mother as well as finding Kate and possibly reuniting with Tad. By all means kill off JR or at least make his character intelligent.

I'm disappointed that they let Jill Larson and Julia Barr go. I really don't care to watch Colby, Sean or Zarf. They bore me, I forward my VCR when it comes to their scenes.

Killing Dixie is the same as killing AMC. For many she represented the hope that the show was finally going to get back on track and show some continuity and some semblance of family and belonging. To kill Dixie and leave Babe standing is a slap in the face to all viewers.

NO not Dixie! Ah come on. I started watching AMC, on and off, long before Dixie was a glitter in the AMC eye, once she appeared her storyline with Tad was what kept me drawn to the show. I was sad when she left and I left with her. I started to watch again a year before she returned, again on and off, now I am a daily viewer. Thanks to cable DVR I never miss a show. Who cares how the writers brought her back. She is a very large part of the AMC family. I find it hard to believe that foucus groups aren't buying her return, They bough Maria returning from the dead after a plane crash!!!! Geese this is what Soaps are all about!
Please, Please, Please keep Dixie alive and well on AMC... the Tad and Dixie story line is something that a viewer like me and others can hold on to... they always, regardless of what happens, find their way back to each other and true love... They just don't make love stories like that anymore... Keep Dixie.

I am so disappointed in the writers of All My Children. I have watched this soap since the 70s and can't believe they are writing Dixie out - she could have had such a great storyline with Tad. There are idot charactors I would like to see written out such as Colby - what a loser - she does nothing for the soap. Anyway Dixie demise will probably be the end of my watching AMC.

The only reason I started watching AMC again was the return of Dixie and potentially, the return of T&D. I won't be watching anymore if they kill off Dixie.
