What a waste of a year! I came back in hopes of a Tad and Dixie reunion and to see them find their little girl. A year later, I have seen none of these things and Dixie is DEAD. FIX THIS!!!

I certainly hope this is a joke. Why did you bring Cady back only to kill her off. Have the writers watched their own promos and the promises that they made to the fans about bringing Tad and Dixie back together again!!! This is the biggest disappointment ever and I will never watch this show again if you truly let this actress go. It used to be that soaps were about love relationships and all triangle dynamics, but now this one is all about death and violence, from the rape of Bianca, the Janet ball-blowing, the Greg Madden burial alive, the Kendall construction site coma, and now this ridiculous serial killer story line. And I'm sure there's more I forgot. With ratings dropping, don't the writers understand we want these legend characters and not the pimply faced tweens, this is such poor planning. After 25 years of watching, I am done. Let those writers lose their jobs when ABC finally figures out what a mess they've made.
I have watched this show since it started. I remember the Tara and Phil love story and all the others, but there has never, and I mean never been a love story like Tad and Dixie. If you need money, put together a Tad and Dixie DVD to that shows their entire relationship together from the beginning. The PTB need to understand that this is what the fans want. Quit shoving Colby, Sydney, Sean, Di and Del in our faces everyday and give us what we loyal fans have tuned in for everyday for over 30 years. Otherwise say good-bye to a staple of daytime. Think Passions!!
This is the worst thing that has ever happened on this show and trust me there have been alot of stupid stories in the past couple of year. The writers should be the ones to be let go. When you lie to the fans and make promises about Tad and Dixie finaly getting back together, and then we get what one kiss and she is going to die the same day!!! Shame on you for not listening to what the people want. After all we pay your salaries so if there is no one watching, how ever will you be paid. Keep Cady on the show and deliver what you promised. Tad and Dixie and Kate all back together as a family. If not, you have just lost another viewer.

if you had to let dixie go, let her be in a real car crash in pine valley just as she found out that ""kate "" was alive and that they have already seen and talked to her.. then tad could find out the rest of the story,, that's a shame to get rid of this kind of actress just at the high point of a story line like this ,for the past 4 years..why bring her back at all ???

I've watched this show since Erica was a teenager faithfully. This is by far one of the worst thing that the writer or writers has done! Tad and Dixie finally have a chance of raising their daughter and you KILLED her off the show!!Please re-think what you're doing. If Dixie gone, I have no desire to watch ALL MY CHILDREN. I've loved AMC for years and this is how you treat your fans!
After 30+ years of being a loyal AMC fan, I have watched my last show as of Friday , Jan.26th. How stupid can the writers be to kill off Dixie after coming so close to the reunion of Tad, Dixie and their Kate - a story that the fans have been waiting for. AMC is now dead to me.

Please Don't kill Dixie! This is the one great story on AMC. AMC needs to fire the writers, not the actors, for totally screwing up dixie's come back. In the last year you have portrayed dixie as a liar and dishonest. That is not dixie. Tad needs Dixie and so do the fans. The only reason I've been watching the show is for Dixie. I will not watch AMC is she dies AGAIN!

Please keep Dixie. I've always loved her and the story lines with Tad. Her departure from the show by death is asking a lot of longtime fans who have grown to love certain characters. I'd much rather you axe the person who's responsible for firing Cady. Her firing was just not a good business move.

You need to seriously re-think this, Dixie has been a big part of All My Children. I am 44 years old and I've been watching AMC since a teenager and started liking the soap because of Tad/Dixie. It would be nice to see Tad/Dixie/Kate reunited. I can remember the ratings being up high because of Tad/Dixie. Think of their fans.
I've signed this several times already, but I'm giving one last gasp. Cady/Dixie and the prospect of reunion with Tad & Kate were upping the ratings. Now, you kill Dixie? Is there really belief that fans will warm to Krystal taking Dixie's place with Tad & Kate? I doubt that would happen. Too often , stories go down a certain road--only to have writers yank out the rug. Shockwaves work once in awhile, but not with every story written. Too many letdowns frustrate fans.
Just a comment, though: mentioning Bianca does not belong here. For one, she has nothing to do with the Cady/Dixie situation. Secondly, Binx and Dixie could have strong separate storylines; one does not affect the other. Third, personal biases should be left at the door. Many Cady/Dixie fans are gay or bi ( like myself), plus many on Bianca's fan board support Cady/Dixie. It had much shock and distaste for Cady's firing. Bias is what seems to be downing AMC right now, anyway--what WRITERS want more than the fans.

I have been watching AMC since day one - Jan. 5, 1970 and have been a big fan of Dixie and Tad. Please you powers that be save our Dixie. It's not fair to bring her back then kill her off just as she and Tad are starting to fall in love again and about to find their child. I'd rather see whiny Kendall go. Killing Dixie breaks the contract that soaps have with fans: loyalty in exchange for responsiveness to viewers. I have been loyal since the 70s and am finished with AMC/ABC.

I've seen shows fire some amazing talent, and I've seen shows alter stupid moves (GH rewrote the storyline about Michael killing AJ) If all this is true, which I'm still hoping it is somehow not, you definately need to pull the magic soap strings and fix it, cause Cady is amazing, and AMC needs Dixie right now more than ever! There's obviously another issue here - no writer would choose to bring a character back from the dead with hopes of reuniting them with their baby stolen at birth, and kill them off before they can fulfill that dream... At least no writer that wants the fans to keep watching.

To kill off Dixie is just not making a good story here. You bring her back, just to kill her off again. As a 35+ year viewer I am now DONE with AMC for good. The way Julia Barr was treated and now killing off Dixie is the LAST straw! RIP AMC the once greatest soap of all time! Keep your no talent Babe & Ryan and go to hell!
