Last year when Dixie came home, some heart was returned to the show. You have spent the last year with Tad and Dixie searching for their child, and now that was all a waste...what an insult to the viewer. I am not sure who write this into the show, but they have no idea what the fans want. Dixie is loved by most people in Pine Valley. Get rid of Del Henry, he's worthless, but not Dixie, someone that held the show together and is entangled in every life in town.

This is the final straw with All My Children. I have watched this show since the start. My mother staring watching and I watched with her. I watched while I was in college. I never had a class from 1 until 2. I tape the show now. I have hung in there lately even when the story line was not that great. I will not be watching anymore. What has happen to the sorty line? This not not the show I have been faithful to for years. With the passing of Dixie I will also have to say my goodbyes.

I have been an avid watcher of All My Children since the beginning. I remember Tad and Dixie when they first fell in love. What a great love story. I was very upset when Cady left the show in 2002. There had been a void in Tad's character from that moment of her departure until Dixie reappeared last year. Now Dixie will be killed off?! Sorry All My Children-you just lost a viewer!

I have been watching All My Children for 12 years now and there have been many times when I wanted to stop watching the show (When I thought Dimitri was really dead, when they killed off Edmund and sent Maria to California) but this is the last straw. I absolutely hated when Dixie was killed off a few years ago, but thrilled when she cam back. Now they're killing her off again, and this time, she can't be brought back (there's a body this time.) I would like to tell the people working on AMC that they are talentless hacks who are running this wonderful, long-running series into the ground. Guys, you just lost a viewer of 12 years! Agnes Nixon created a dramatic serial show that has always been based on the families "children" of the 4 core families- the Martins and Tylers and Cortlandts
(Cooneys) and Chandlers. Dixie is a core character to all 4 of these families either by blood, marriage or friendship. How this integral character can be so flippantly killed off and the incredible, talented and classy actress named Cady McClain treated so disrespectfully, as well as the other veteran actors and actresses you have fired, shows the current producer(s)do not respect the loyal fans or Agnes Nixon whatsoever. Julie Hannan Caruthers "explanation" of why Dixie was killed and Cady McClain was fired is a total insult to the intelligence of the viewers. The current show no longer represents the original and much loved vision of Agnes Nixon. Congrats Ms. Hannan Caruthers you have destroyed the beautiful story Agnes Nixon created. And for what? After being a fan for over 20 years, my TV will not ever again be tuned to ABC bewtween 1-2pm EST. Good luck with the firing of "the right person at the right time and the right place" theory to further a forgettable plot on a very poorly written and produced show. I have watched "All My Children" for a long time, thanks to my mom who got me hooked on it. But this last thing to fire Cady really upsets me because I was looking forward to her and Tad being reunited and finding their daughter Kate. I think I've had enough of this. Tad with someone else will never be the same especially since Dixie was brought back to die! I have to go back to watching "Days of our Lives".

i don't know if this is too late, but it is soap land, don't kill Dixie off - she has a great storyline with Tad and they are great together. I've been a fan for over 20 years and really enjoy watching when they are together. I even loved seeing them together at soap opera weekend. please don't do it.
I have been a loyal "All My Children" fan since the early 1970's. I have seen many actors come and go. Cady's return to AMC was a highlight for me. She is such a talented actress! I was disappointed with the writing of the scripts for Dixie on her return. Writing her off AMC so quickly seems like such a cruel punishment for Cady, her fans and her " family" of fellow actors and actresses. She is a true star and with her demise, I can't help but wonder if the show can recover from it's loss of loyal watchers. I would suggest a quick re-write and re- filming a segment to ensure that Dixie is not lost forever, even if it means pre-empting the show for a day.

I know I am too late but I had to say something. You have fired or preceded to get rid of all of the fine actors on this wonderful soap. I watched the very first episode so that makes me a vet. I believe the writers have great talent but they are letting their greed get to them. When they fire these actors they get more money for themselves. They don't care about the people who watch AMC and have so much time invested. Why can't the PTB just write a story that has romance, drama and comedy leaving in the vets (and maybe adding in a few newbies but not all at once). ABC has plenty of money, make them use it to keep these great actors. Gosh, the writere at AMC are about as bright as rocks. They don't seem to have a brain in their heads. What an insult to viewers. Dixie & Tad getting Kate back was the lone reason I hung on, hoping, hoping, things would turn around for the once first-class soap. Well, I am SO through watching. What a travesty and what a tragedy that has been done to AMC. And to think I watched AMC from the days of Tara/Phil/Chuck. As they say, all good things must come to an end.
