What a supreme lowpoint for AMC. I've watched off and on for 30 years -- but it has become harder and harder to rationalize a continued interest with the insane plot twists. I also think it particularly venal to kill off so many characters in such a bloodless way -- the poisoning etc. Way too convenient and no mess or nasty blood. As if there were no consequences to murder (a continuing theme of the show BTW).
Setting up Tad at the end to be that close only to lose Dixie again is just plain cruel.
Especially to viewers who actually care about the characters.
I plan to turn off for good.

I cannot believe how horrible this show has become. The writing is one-dimensional and the same 5 characters are always on the front burner. What was the point of bringing Dixie back only to kill her off again. Viewers are only going to put up with so much. You are losing us. Do you just not care?
I have watched AMC from the beginning years. I have always loved Dixie and Tad. I was so happy when she came back this time though I didn't care for the Zack Dixie paring. I thought it was not like her at all. You are making a big mistake in getting rid of her.
I don't care for the way you cut Brook out of the show without any fanfare. Now to kill off Dixie I'm sure you will loose many viewers. I know you don't care about us 60 years olds but we are the ones that have brought our daughters into watching you show etc, and now you try to ruin AMC is such a shame. I can't believe Dixie is once again leaving. Getting rid of a fan favourite is a really bad decision since its been hinted that she will reunite with her daughter. Please bring back this much loved character and actress.
I have watched this soap since I was five (28 years)! The current cast is fantastic, but te importance of the remaining cast veterans is huge. It's good to see Palmer & Opal every now and then, but Dixie just came back to the show. You took away Cliff, Nina, Brooke, Tom, Haley,Trevor and many other of AMC's best characters over the years. Please don't take Cady off. Who's next? Erica, Tad, Adam, Jackson or Joe? I DVR this show every day. It's the only show I faithfully watch. Please keep Dixie (Cady) on the show. The veterans make this show what is!
Why fire someone who the fans LOVE and who actually does have a good storyline going now and another potentially good storyline w/ the reunion w/ Tad and Kate? As a longtime fan, I certainly feel cheated. There are so many others that are NOT fan favorites that could be gone, but NOT Cady/Dixie. Bring her back. It is soap world, after all and I bet the fans would forgive this if you'd rectify the situation.

My entire family watches All My Children. We all work, but we get to gether at night to watch it on Soap Net. I guess we'll be looking for a new show to watch now. Not only has she been involved in some of the most crucial storylines since her return, then you dangle the child we've all been waiting for Dixie to meet in front of her, only to kill her off? Get a clue. Many of us who are loyal to ABC soaps have been introduced to CBS and NBC soaps through "Soapnet". Guess what - Days of Our Lives and the Young and the Restless are going to become the preferred daytime viewing. These soaps seem to place a premium on their "beloved" characters.

This is really not fair. Cady is an excellent actress and deserves much better than this. I've been praying for them to kill of that little twit Babe, and instead we are losing one of the best characters. I will admit, Dixie's whining in the past has really grated on my nerves, but she has gotten much better over the past few weeks and it has been wonderful to see how her interaction with JR has been helping him. Futher more, killing off the mature women of Pine Valley is a horrible mistake on ABC's part. It is these actresses that made the show what it is today, and leaving the show to focus only on their children will cause a mass exodus of the core viewers. Bring back Dixie...and Brooke for that matter!!
I am appalled that AMC is SHUNNING the very base audience of the success of this soap opera.
