What were they thinking??? Dixie and Tad belong together and they're what All My Children is all about. They keep killing or ending the story lines of alot of good actors and if they think that Zeo , Josh and Ryan being a Daddy is gonna boost our motivation to keep watching. Think Again! Killing Dixie off the show would be really hard for me to watch, I have been a fan of Tad & Dixie for years. I have been watching AMC for 26 years. And Dixie and Tad were my all time favorite couple, it was hard for me to watch when she first left the show and now that she is back I was so thrilled and excited to see Tad and Dixie reunite. And why would they even bring Dixie back and mention her daughter and then to kill her off. It doesn't make sense and I for one would love for Dixie to stay and i am pretty sure long fans like myself would agree. So please save Dixie and Tad!

I started watching AMC the summer of 1972 at my Creative Writing teachers house. I have continued watching it through some of the lamest storylines. This is by far the lowest. You won't have to worry about me watching it anymore.

I can only echoe so many other shocked and infuriated LONG-TIME fans/viewers in expressing utter dismay that you would kill off Dixie. My wife and I have been watching AMC since it's inception, and getting rid of David, Brooke, and now of all things Dixie is just utterly nonsense. And yes, our demographic is late 40's, and we make several hundred thousand dollars per year in income, so if you think your focus group young, younger, youngest is the way to go, then your advertisers are losing our business, that's for sure. It's just such a betrayal. To Cady, to Michael, to everyone, but what the writers don't seem to realize is the biggest betrayal is to the fans. I mean, hell, they don't even kill the dog in so many movies because they'll lose the audience - Hello? This is a person who we have all grown to love and trust! I don't think I can bear to watch Dixie die again. Maybe if this were 4 years from now, lots of storylines later, and I knew Cady was off to star in an Oscar-winning film adaptation of a musical in which her vocal stylings were also being showcased. And then its still a maybe. I have mourned Dixie so many times and I trusted - I truly trusted the writers to not do that to me emotionally again or, God forbid, to Tad, Jamie, and JR again. There is a certain unspoken agreement between writers and audiences don't you think? I am so upset. I feel as though someone I was in love with has cheated on me and regardless of how much I love them, I can't continue the relationship. I know it's "just a soap", but for many of us, its been "just a soap" for our entire lives.
I suffered through the Colby brat/bitch teenage storyline insulting my intellect and showing a lack of quality writing unsurpassed on daytime except for that show and it's talking puppets perhaps..I waited to get rid of Hayward, I switch to B & B when Kendall or Erica story lines come on (they could be real life daughters as neither can act...and I LIKE Susan Lucci as a person), Josh pathetic "That could have been BABE" remark??? Every soap needs a couple who have made it through the storms in life, the matriarch couple to guide from, the one happy ending allowed on soaps. Joe and Ruth are all but gone now........and you just KILLED the one we would have loved.

I have waited and waited and waited for her to come back, and now that she finally is, you're killing her off? You've just lost one more loyal fan, until the day that Cady comes back.
I thought that maybe Tad and Dixie would be the one happy couple on amc, and am madder than hell at the producers for killing her off. I have watched this soap for 35 years, and wonder how much longer I can watch. let the father go in and somehow create a miracle to bring her back.
