I have been watching amc since the beginning. Tad and Dixie belong together. I was completely shocked to find out that she died today. Can this be a bad dream?? Brimng Dixie back!!!
I have watched this show since the beginning. Getting rid of the core characters is a big mistake. Cady was the last straw. Change this to an out of body experience and bring her back, or I am sad to say this, I'm done with your show!!
I can't understand why you would bring Dixie back only to kill her off. It doesn't make sense. She is a way better actress than most on the show and you just threw her away. I won't be watching AMC anymore. I'm done.
Dixie is one of All My Childrens greatest characters! This is crazy to kill her off and a total blow to us fans who were so thrilled to have her come back.
Please keep Dixie on the show. I have waited this long for her and Tad to find their child and reunite their love, and now you do this. This is a complete and utter mess that you have made and I don't know how you will recover from this especially now that someone else will be killed off. What are you thinking about? Just kill everybody off the show. Then I guess you all (the writers) will be happy.
Why in the world would a soap bring back a popular character only to kill her very shortly thereafter? Soaps tend to have rather ridiculous storylines, but this really makes no sense whatsoever. I have always been a little embarassed to admit that I watch AMC(or any soap for that matter)but this may just end the habit for me.

How can you do this to Tad. How can you do this to the fans. I have watched for thirty years. The fans deserve better than this. Everyday I watch faithfylly. Tad is at the center of my attention. He and Dixie have been the constant. They represent a strong marriage and committment to each other. Something many people in our society today do not have. We need them. They are such good actors/actresses. Please do not let her go. I don't have any idea what to do. Watching has been like drinking my morning coffee. This is a life change for me. I will not continue to watch if she is gone.

I stopped watching AMC and switch to ATWT when Cady moved to the different show. I switched back to AMC when she came back to the soap. I thinks it time I stop watching them all together. There is too much politics involved with these shows.

I saw the Dixie final episode and even with all the neat flashbacks, it in NO WAY excuses her be taken from the show! AMC just lost its roots, its character, its essence and ME!!

What the heck is going on there at AMC??? The writers and powers that be must be out of their ever loving minds to get rid of Dixie - permanently! i am a long time AMC watcher...and one of the reasons is due to the fact that some of the original characters are still on the show. i waited so long for dixie to get back, and to get rid of her just as she and Tad were reuniting and JR was healing is awful. This may be the end of many years of AMC for me.
I CRIED when she left i was so upset i don't even feel like watching the show anymore!! I LOVED Dixie and was so happy to see her back!! But, now she died AGAIN! She can't die before she finds her child that is sad, sick and wrong! And now everyone is going to be upset expessially tad, JR and Jamie! Also Babe is now going to feel so guilty! I was so happy when I saw she was back and they were falling in love again. I can't beleive you did this, please please bring her back. I am total done watching AMC, it is over.

I am a long time (almost 30 years) AMC viewer and have stayed with the show through high school, college and the years of raising my children. I find many of the storylines ridiculous and most of the actors completely lacking in charisma but still I tuned in to see Tad and Dixie. The show is no longer entertaining and fun to watch. By killing off Dixie, I have no reason to support ABC daytime.
Tad and Dixie and their quest to find their daughter was THE reason I have stuck with AMC as of late. The writing has sunk deeper and deeper into the muck, with only the superior acting of McClain and Knight to pull me through. Now I will bid farewell to the sinking boat that is AMC. They just kicked to the curb the only hope they had of staying afloat!

I was 11 years old on the day All My Children debuted in 1970. I have been a loyal viewer of the show and can probably answer any question about any storyline or character that has ever been on the show. The romance of Tad and Dixie has never lost it's sparkle and shine. Over the years, between the Cady and Michael leaving and returning to the show, has just given it a shot in the arm when it was desperatly needed. When Dixie returned this time, I felt the writers took far too much time and put too much energy into Tad and Dixie hating each other and not being at all loyal to the heart of what both their characters had always been. Finally, they have begun to reunite and re-ignite a great love and they are again making a mistake by writing her out. Everyone I know that watches the show, including myself, will take a "hiatus" from the show for a while if this remains the path taken. I have raised 3 kids, 1 grandchild, gotten through a divorce and major depression at some times while escaping to Pine Valley's ups and downs. Very sad a lifetime relationship would end this way.
I have watched AMC from day one and am heartbroken at the disrespect the writers have shown towards the fans. It is incomprhensible that all the vets are being let go.

I too have been a fan since back in the 70's. I was appalled when I saw that Dixie had died. Tad and Dixie are one of the greatest soap couples ever. Was Agnes Nixon involved with this writing decision? I can't believe she would let this happen. At least, let the part of Dixie live on even if you have to recast the part. I honestly am considering boycotting this decision by not tuning in to AMC.
