Those dam sob's....been crying all day, not only for Dixie and Kate and Tad but for the unsult ABC has thrown at us. Well, I needed more time in my day anyway and now I have an extra hour, so ABC thanks for that at least.

I can't believe what happened this week on AMC. We should all boycott this program until they hire writers worthy of our hour-a-day. Isn't it bad enough that we sit through 35 minutes of commercials that we need terrible writing and storylines? To dispose of one of the programs most loved characters, ruin a true romance that's been going on for years, and not to even have Dixie find her daughter and marry Tad, is absolutely the worst thing I have seen happen on any soap opera. NO MORE, ABC, as of tomorrow I will not be tuning in anymore and could care less about these awful stories you have been using.
Has AMC gone insane? I feel like I have lost an old friend and my heart is aching. I can't believe the audacity of the writers to assume they know what the public wants...well, I can tell you that it isn't the younger crowd...Colby and Sean...yuck! Stick to what works-Tad and Dixie!
What a slap in the face to many families of Pine Valley and the entire viewing audience. How bad can writers possibly be? I liked Arin, she was the first of my favorites to go, and now Dixie? I suppose there will be more, all they have to do is choose the people we love most and get rid of them.
ABC has destoryed one of ALL MY CHILDREN's greatest long-term romances, and she didn't even get to hold her child. How much more mean can you be to a loyal audience, some that have been with the show since the 70's. This was the only soap I ever watched (except for Dark Shadows) and tomorrow I am going to seek out a better one to devote my time too with more realistic writing by a writing team who actually cares for their audience.
I hate what you have done to my favorite show. I have watch AMC for 20 years. I'm considering quiting, I just can't stand that you have killed Dixie off. And who will be next????
I have watched AMC 30+ years. I named my daughter Tara after the character many years ago. I love the Tad/Dixie story. That's about all I like on AMC anymore. Don't take that away. I love Cady. I think she's great. If she doesn't come back.... I don't have much reason to watch anymore.
I want to say to everyone, being a professional soap writer for 6 years in the 90's, that this was an all-out insult to viewers of a program. To bring Dixie back last year excited all fans, and to make an audience anticipate her reunion with Kate (while ALIVE) and her being reunited with Tad, and then to kill her off is a direct insult to the audience that waited 1 l/2 years after she returned. I have never seen such abominable writing in my career, ever! Shame on ABC and the writers who agreed to this. They have already destroyed this soap with poor writing, some so unrealistic it's hard to believe. For instance, the ganging up on Zoey/Zarf by citizens and allowing him to be thrown around while the police chief did nothing, just another example of the unrealistic writing occuring on this show. And the entire Madden thing, with children popping up all over, and it just so happens that Ryan is the girl's father, come on. I for one am tho=rough watching this program after 30 faithful years, and to show ABC how we feel (and they WILL get the message, I know this from working on soaps) I suggest an all out boycott until they return Dixie to us. Who cares anymore, if they go off and kill our favorite characters that they make us care for, what's the reason for watching such horrible writing? BOYCOTT ALL MY CHILDREN. As a writer I can tell you that there are ways to bring her back. Perhaps this entire thing was a set up to have something to do with the killer. They can find a way, but action needs to be taken. Killing off one of the most popular characters is going to damage the show. Viewers really cared about Tad and Dixie and wanted to see them reunited. AMC will lose many viewers because of this.

I have been watching AMC since 1982, and I am appauled!!!!!!! I have loved the T & D story line 4ever. Those characters are what have kept me interested in the show! ABC if you don't "create" a way to bring her back soon, my friends and I are done with you! I guess we will have to start watching Ellen instead! I will hold a grudge against ABC for this!!!!! I think it was AMC suicide!!! We'll miss Tad and Dixie and the way the show used to be.
I too am so absolutely dissapointed that the show is getting rid of Cady. Her character Dixie had so much to offer this show. As of late, it has become nothing but a big bore. Kendall going around whining all the time and Zach acting as if he's on drugs 24/7. As for all the darn kids they've brought on (Colby,Shelby,Jack's nephew,etc) why not get rid of them instead. The show has gone from being a true "soap opera" to a boring combination of boring characters........

I am outraged... I will not watch all my children again until they bring back Dixie, so what if it is even in a dream, I don't care. I have watched this show from my early teens and have been a faithful fan...oops, sorry not any more. They tag us along with the never-ending love story and then they end it... I was re interested in the Trans line but I have know Trans and while this has brought them out into the open. Even with that, I can't watch the show anymore. Are the writers, producers and all of them crazy or what? I have to go, I am so angry as I see many many others are.
I never thought I would really stop watching this show. I have said it before, like when Dixie died the first time and when Jenny died way back when, but I will not be back as a viewer. I hope all the people who say they are going to stop watching will truly stop watching. These writers deserve to see a huge dip in their ratings. As an avid AMC fan since the early 70's, I am in disbelief. It was so exciting to have Dixie back and a little taste of how great AMC is. But to "kill" her off before she finds her daughter is an outrage. I know a lot of people are saying that they are not going to watch anymore, but they probably will, I can assure you, I won't. I know that doesn't mean much to these so called executives at AMC. They will still have a paycheck, but for how long......

I've been watching for 32 years and for too long now watching you pull AMC up by the roots with the demise of all the now grown children. I started watching AMC in 1981 and Tad and Dixie are just meant to be together! All the fans can see it! Trevor and Natalie had to go. Noah and Julia had to go. Now Tad and Dixie? How do they get their Christmas miracle if Dixie dies? We've been waiting for Tad and Dixie to find their Kate all this time and now they never will? That's not much of a miracle, is it, Christmas or otherwise? DON'T LET DIXIE GO! AMC & JR need her! And so do we!

It is hard to believe that individuals charged with the financial affairs of a network would make a decison so obviously detrimental to the future existence of a show on that network. The patent lack of merit or legitimate basis for the firing of Cady McClain calls into serious question whether ABC has a viable future in daytime television. Maybe that is the whole point of this otherwise pointless and disheartening episode. We may be witnessing the ultimate dismantling of AMC. I, for one, would have preferred a straightforward approach rather than bleeding by inches.
AMC ia the omly soap I ever watched and started when Cady began as Dixie. Tad and Dixie were the only reason thatI kept me watching over the years. When one was written out I stopped watching. When Cady returned last year I was thrilled despite the ridiculous plot and the personality change. Just when I thought things were going good you kill her off. Guess I won't be watching AMC anymore despite liking Tad. They'll never be another Dixie.
I,too, started watching AMC again after a long hiatus when Dixie returned hoping that Tad and Dixie would finally get back together. The story line went on too long and there has been too much about Babe. If Dixie doesn't return you have lost me for good.

I stopped watching after that but tuned back in every STINKING day through all the bad stories and the "BABE" show just because Dixie was returning. Because CADY was coming back.
I'll admit, I cried today when I watched her wave good bye to her beautiful little Kate....I cried as much for the sadness of the scene as I did for the finally scene for Cady...It's a shame the way these writers have butchered this show. Bring Cady back and fire the writers instead. Get back to the meat and potatoes of the show...THE MARTIN FAMILY not the Ryan/Babe/Krystal show.

I can not believe that All My Children would bring Dixie back only to kill her again in such a way that you can’t bring her back. I am not watching anymore if we don't see more of what made this Soap so great! Get rid of the Zarf/Zoe storyline, too. It is not interesting.

I was made at Cady McClain when I saw that Dixie actually died today. I assumed it was Cady's decision to leave the show. I never got made at AMC PTB when she left before - I totally understood they could never recast that part. So what a shock to see Cady did NOT want to leave! All us long-time die-hard fans who have been salivating for Tad/Dixie/Kate reunion have just been royally screwed!

Hi. I just bawled my eyes out today. I am really heartbroken that TPTB of AMC have decided to kill Dixie. It is so unfair of them to do that to her. Yeah, she did find her daughter but for what? She wasn't even given the chance to hold her and raise her. Don't they know that she was JR's anchor? They just got her back. If AMC doesn't have any more big story lines for Cady, then just send her character Dixie off to another place with Kate (no offense to Julia 'cause I'm sure she would make a great mom but Kate belongs to Tad and Dixie) but DON'T KILL HER OFF!!!
Dixie is the real heart of the show. I had stopped watching AMC for a couple years before Dixie came back. Now I've been watching everyday, but I guess I can stop watching again.
I've been watching All My Children for over 20 years- The best story lines have been with Tad and Dixie... I vow never to watch AMC anymore if you kill on Dixie... You brought her back after she's been goon for 5 years- then to kill her off.. and never to find or daughter or be with Tad.. What was the point of getting the fans hopes up anyway... The younger characters bring no depth to the show.. Unlike Dixie and Tad...

I started waiting for Tad and Dixie to get back together since I first heard she was coming back to the show. They destroyed the majority of her storylines then faked us out with the Father Clarence nonsense about a Christmas miracle. Now--it just breaks my heart to watch Dixie as an angel realize that her Kate is alive. Even though Tad was holding Kate--it was no consolation because he doesn't know she is theirs!
Except for Tad, Jeff, sometimes Erica--nobody else worth watching on AMC. I'll find something else to watch now--like David over on Y&R, maybe Dixie will be invited on that show now and don't forget to bring Tad over too!!
