this is the worst decision the writers of all my children have ever made. we have waited too long to see tad and dixie happy with all 3 of there kids!!
What are you people thinking Dixie dieing!!! I have waited til the day that I could watch this show again, so long Dixie and Tad was going to be on it together. You people need to apologys to her and get a back now.
Dixie returning from "the dead" recently is what made me start watching AMC again. I had taken a long break after she had died, and as soon as I heard she was coming back, I revved up my DVR, and annoyed my husband every night watching what he thought was a "ridiculous soap opera." Well, now I have to agree with him. AMC is now beyond ridiculous with "permanently" killing off such a beloved character and a wonderful actress in Cady McClain, and writing off other longtime characters. Not to mention the absurdity of the recent storylines in the Zoe/Zarf thing and Ryan/Emma. This show has lost all taste and it has turned into a very cheesy soap. I am done wasting my time watching this show... now maybe, if Dixie comes back from the dead, I'll tune in again. IT'S MESSED UP THAT AMC WOULD DO THIS TO THEIR FANS! BRING DIXIE BACK! We want Tad and Dixie to be together forever! Til then, I have 40 minutes of free time again (since at least 20 minutes of AMC are commercials.)
Once again, Im making a plea to change the decision to kill off Dixie... I'm so upset about this that I have decided to stop watching the show if she is really dead. I've been a loyal fan for many years, 25 years in fact. But killing everyone off was a bad decision. Maybe it's a dream sequence running far too long?? Hopefully so. Otherwise, farewell All My Children.....
Please do something to bring Dixie back. I have never felt so upset about something that has happened on the show. She was the reason I watched - which I won't be doing from now on.
I'm sure there's a way to spin this story line and have evil David bring Dixie back. I've been watching this show for 20+ years and there is no couple on any soap like Tad and Dixie. I've never felt compelled to write in before, but this is over the top! Bring her back!
I have watched AMC for over 25 years. And many times I have been upset at a storyline. I stopped watching for months when they killed off Gillian. But to bring back Dixie then kill her so cruelly even before she find her daughter. It's horrible cruel to viewers. This time I'm quiting watching AMC forever!
I used to be a fan of All My Children until years ago when you killed of Natalie Hunter. Then I got sick of the first reported death of Dixie. Now.. this time... she's really been killed off. You writers seem to have a history of killing off the most special characters... and leaving behind a wasteland of hurt and pain. I was looking forward for Tad & Dixie to reunite and finf theior love again. Sadly... that is not going to happen.

I think that the writers want to highlight Krystal who is ok but not one of my favorites, but why can't they rotate storylines and give the fans what they want, some romance and they could have done it with Tad and Dixie. This serial killer storyline is horrible and I am not enjoying it at all. Bring back Cady McClain.
I have been watching since I was 16 - I just turned 50. I NEVER imagined I would stop - now I'm not sure why I would continue. The writers are ruining what was a good show. They should be stopped.
Bring Dixie back -- I have watched AMC since day 1. They were the only constant couple besides Joe and Ruth which is refreshing since everyone else sleeps with everyone else.
I used to be a faithful AMC watcher, but ove the past 8 years or so, I haven't watched until this past summer when I heard Dixie was back. It took me a little while to get back up to speed with storylines and characters, but it was worth it to see Dixie again. Now you've ruined everything by killing her off. I can't forgive you for making such a terrible decision. If you don't bring her back, you've lost me once more as a viewer! BRING DIXIE BACK AND FAST!
We Love Cady as Dixie. Please hire her back immediately. I promise you, myself and thousands who participate in writing on blogs and each other have agreed to stop watching AMC altogether if you fire Cady.

I've been watching for 20 years, and Tad 'n Dixie are my favorite. I took a few years hiatus form the show when Dixie left, but have been Tivo'ing and watching at night ever since she came back again. Now that you've written her off, there's no reason to continue watching. Too many newbies and kids on the show. We don't care about Babe. We want Dixie!
I don't think it's a real smart idea to permanently get rid of 1/2 of your only true super-couple. Also, your best storyline (Tad, Dixie, Kate) right now. I work full time, but stayed up to watch AMC on SoapNet. You made my life easier, I won't stay up now.

After watching AMC for more than 20 years, I think I have to leave. See,you fired one half of the Supercouple. AMC is built around the love Tad and Dixie have for each other, and FINALLY after waiting YEARS for their reunion, you had to ruin it. Get rid of Zarf, Sydney, Colby, Jeff, Lily, Jonathan, Del, Di. Get rid of Erica for heaven's sake! I mean how many more times can she yell at her daughters or get married? The best people to fire? The current writers that have no idea what kind of legendary show they are writing for. They certainly don't care about the fans. Just don't get rid of my dear Dixie. Just because Cady spoke out against the horrible writers, doesn't mean she was wrong or should be fired. When AMC looses all the viewers, and has to be cancelled, I will be the first one to say I told you so.

I have been watching AMC for 26 years. When Tad and Dixie exchanged that sweet moment planning lunch, I was overjoyed at the prospect of them have some sort of a relation ship again. And then I was greatly disappointed. I tape AMC. I used to watch the taped episode every night, now I wait until the weekend and watch bits and pieces of the shows. It is just not the same.

DO NOT kill off Dixie permanently please!!! You just brought her back, and she never even really got a story. It was awful...she may as well have never even come back!! She has to find Kate with Tad and they have to be a happy family, at least for a little while. And she's the one keeping JR semi-sane. Don't disappoint all of your loyal fans by killing her off before she gets any happiness at all!!!
AMC made a terrible mistake yesterday killing off Dixie. If they had issues with Cady then perhaps they could have got another actor to play the part of Dixie, I know we'd all still be mad that Cady was gone as she was wonderful but at least the great story of Tad & Dixie could have gone on and we were all waiting on them both to find Kate. How could the writers do this to us.

I stopped watching All My Children a few years ago after Dixie left and only started watching it again when rumblings of a Dixie return were made known. I again have no reason to watch. What an idiotic decision the producers of AMC have made for the fans of this show.

I think your making a big mistake. People want to be able to see Tad and Dixie get back together. Give them a chance to enjoy their daughter Kate together, not just Tad. I've been watching since 1970. Please don't take Dixie away from her many fans. I was sad when she left the first time. So don't make another mistake of getting rid of her again. She's one of the reasons I continue to watch All My Children. So please brain Cady McClain back. If you don't you may lose a lot of your viewers.
This is quite possibly the worst decision in a string of bad decisions on the part of the TPTB and ABC daytime in general. You are single-handedly destroying the sense of family and love that most of us look for in a soap. One by one, you have picked off your truly talented actors and replaced them with less able newbies who can't act their way out of a paper sack. By doing this, you are alienating your TRUE fan base in your pathetic attempt to attract a younger audience, who by the way, is NOT tuning in. All you have now are people tuning OUT. If you care at all about stopping the downward spiral that AMC is taking, you'll find a way to bring back Cady McClain, for good this time.

You have taken away from us any hope of seeing something nice become of Tad, Dixie and Kate. You are horrible to have done this and to have us have hope after Fr Clarence and the x-mas wishes for kate to come back, it was obvious that the story was leading to a reunion but to have it just wash out this way is so cruel to the viewers. Cady always did the show justice. I have watched since day 1 and now the TV is off.

I've been watching AMC since it started. Every couple I need to take a break but I really don't see any need to. I always believed that Tad and Dixie would ultimately grow old together and be the next Joe & Ruth Martin.
I am appalled by the writers that ABC has employed right now for AMC. I too no longer want to watch the story, been watching for about 35 years... what a loser I am... ABC, you absolutely blew it on killing off our veteran stars and bringing on the kiddie story lines. Julia, David, Cady (all within less than 60 days). I was totally shocked by Dixie's death!! She just came back and is a tremendous asset to the show (and, of course, an excellent actress). I haven't been so upset since the (actual) death of Mona. The writers are ignoring the continuity of the storyline and the loyalty of the long time fans. Can this travesty be rectified?

I am sick of AMC getting rid of all their great actresses and actors just so we can have the young ones that no one cares about. Why not kill off Sean, Colby, Sydney, Annie etc? I think AMC is killing off all of their older fans as well!

Just as Disie and Tad relationship is back, you acn't take her off. Now that she sees her daughter. It would be not right to have only tab find his little Kate and not have Dixie there. You had a good storyline going and you fire the most important character, what is wrong with you writers. Fire some of the younger actors if it's financially based and keep Dixie.
Dixie and Tad's relationship is what got me hooked to AMC. Even when Michael E. Knight or Cady McClain left in the past there was always hope for a reunion. Dixie and Tad deserved to be reunited and have a family again with their baby girl. To give that dream a chance just to tear it away and kill Dixie is such a betrayal. Giving Kate to Tad now is bittersweet. Kate will never know her real mommy and the mother she did know was taken from her also. It doesn't have to be this way. Save Dixie, there is still a chance to fix this injustice.

I am through with AMC. I had previously quit watching and the only reason I started back was when they brought Dixie back. To stop the storyline of reuniting Tad and Dixie but continue a storyline about a lesbian transgender tells me what AMC is all about. I guess they think we would rather watch a love triangle between 2 lesbians and 1 transgender lesbian than reunite Tad and Dixie.I will no longer be watching!

I have watched for 24 years and I agree with so many others. Killing Dixie before she finds her daughter..BIG mistake! There are so many horrible/boring actors...Kendall,Di, Dell (terrible replacement to the orignal) etc. The good actors are gone! Rethink your actions!
I have watched the show since Erica was married to Jeff the FIRST time..and Tad was a little kid. I can not believe you brought Dixie back, never even developed the story line completely with her and Tad, and then wrote her off. I just sat there in horror last night. I just don't know if I can keep watching. I don't find Kendall, Babe, Krystal, ..any of them, more exciting or heartwarming as Dixie and Tad. I am just so disappointed.
I truly believe when you killed off Dixie, you killed the show. The tumultuous romance between Tad and Dixie is what's kept me watching the show all these years. I'm sick of Erica Cain, she lacks real character, and her story is the same one over and over again.
