Bring back Dixie.She and Tad are the best couple on AMC. This is so wrong. I have watched for 32 years. Am so disappointed now, never will watch again.
I can't believe the decline in this program in the last few months. I say get rid of the young ones...we don't need Colby, Sydney or that kid who plays Jacks nephew. For God sakes what entertainment are they providing us? You people are letting go of characters we all have grown to love and relate to day after day, year after year, the characters that keep us coming back day in and day out. Do you honestly think bringing back Barbara Montgomery is going to replace losing our beloved Dixie. According to ABC Soaps we are going to lose more beloved stars too...Jackson Montgomery and later this week Babe or Kendall. I guess your LOYAL FANS mean nothing to you. OMG STOP THE INSANITY!!!
I too, have watched AMC since the day it first aired. Dixie IS a fan favorite. Find a way to bring her back or I am done with this show! Let Susan(Erica) retire--all her character does is mind others' business and tramp around with any man that isn't her husband. She is WAY TOO OLD to still be doing this! Maybe the writers need to go.....
I hate the fact that they killed Dixie off. These new writers are aweful. Fans of the show are longtime fans. Maybe they should hire a couple of fans to write for the show and give the viewers what they want. Tad & Dixie. It seems lately that so many of the Vets are treated like crap. Why not kill off some of the non-essential charectors, like Di, Dell, even Julia.
AMC should have kept Cady...after all, they wooed he back, got her, then spit on us viewers by not even letting them reunite with Kate. Cady was an asset to AMC, as well as Julia Barr and Vincent Irizarry.
My GF loves this Dixie chic and was very happy when she came back and is saying she won't watch this soap she's watched since she was a little girl if she goes. Bring'r back if you're smart. I'm sure she's not the only one that feels that way.

Please bring Dixie back. I have been watching since day one. Finally we get a chance for Tad and Dixie to be happy and to find Kate and poof...Dixie is gone. That is no way to treat a veteran actress or fans of AMC. You know you can come up with a way to bring her back. If not, the fans have many ideas...NDE, coma, people have been in the morgue and been discovered to be alive...it does happen. Please let it happen to Dixie.
I grew up watching AMC with my mom and grandma, these are characters that have history! Brooke, Dixie, Opal, Palmer, Stewart, all very beloved characters that could add so much to any story line.

You are getting rid of most of the veterans, Julia Barr as well. You might as well put the final nail in AMC's coffin and FIRE Erica Kane. You've done everything else. Please reconsider, Have an emergency taping and have her run back to her body after having had a near death experience. She started breathing again after they shut the machines off and they don't know it until she wakes up in her body bag!!
AMC has deteriorated so much. Lately,the only thing that has kept me watching is Dixie. Tad & Dixie's story has kept my interest over the years. When she "died" in the car accident, I always held out hope that she would somehow show up again. Finally, she did and now, they have taken her away. After 18 years, I have to say --- I'm finished.
I held on watching to this show in my busy life to see her return. Now she leaves so suddenly? I am very dissapointed and will most likely cease watching this show.

I cant belive that after all the really bad writing lately that they are firing Cady McClain as Dixie . The last year has been bad enought they did nothing when they let Julia Barr go and now they have Dixie gone I am not going to bother to watch the show any more if they cant write for their main players any more maybe they should just cancel the show thier ratings have dropped so far in the last 10 years you would never know that they used to be #2.Its really sad they have no writers left any more.
It never ceases to amaze me how they always let the good ones go. I cannot believe that they have takes self sufficient independant women and made it the greatest daytime soap only to turn around and make them pathetic desperate and then start killing them off one by one. Dixie back finally made the show a champion bringing back one of the greatest loves of all time way better than Erica and all of her flings with no substance. Dixie gone and the better part of the cast being killed off it alomsot seems time to cancel the whole show like passions since it is now getting as far fetched. The y should have kept Dixie and let Tad finally be happy for a change and add a sense of humanity to JR. Instead they have killed off one of the best actresses and I think the diehard fans should just stop watching or just cancle the show better yet cancle whatever writers or bigwigs thought canning Dixie was a good idea. Wya to blow a great show and lose some loyal fans maybe it is time to turn the channel and watch another show that has real fans interest at heart.

I think the powers at ABC have gone to far and have insulted loyal AMC fans. The firing of Caddy McClain as Dixie Cooney Martin is one of the greatest insults that ABC daytime has ever done. As a loyal fan for 25+ years, I am reaching my breaking point with this show I have loved for so long. It is time for ABC to take responsibilty and to make admends for this mistake. I have watched AMC since 5th grade and was horrified that you, the writers, would kill off Dixie. Just as Tad and Dixie were on the brink off discovering Kate and rekindle their love, you killed her off! I have watched AMC on and off for many years and recently returned because of the Dixie storyline. I'll be watching her funeral and cry along with the other fans. Then, I'm done watching for good. You should have killed Del. He's a waste of space.
I have been watching all my children for about 34 years, and I can't believe that you killed off Dixie AGAIN! Tad & Dixie were my all time favorite couple on this show. They belong together forever. If this was another attempt to save money by getting rid of veterans, it was not so bright! It was bad enough to get rid of Julia Barr & Vincent Irizarry. The younger characters aren't in the same class. You aren't leaving anyone to mentor them. Who is left to play in Erica's league now? Is SHE next?! This is the only soap that I've ever watched, and with Dixie's untimely departure, I may just give it up for good.
It seems like such a shame to write off one of the best actresses ever in the AMC history. I am very saddened by this news. I wish they would keep her.
My mom began watching AMC in her High School drama class during its first season! AMC was on every day in my home, I grew up watching this beloved soap. MY 13 year old daughter is now a viewer. I can say that the loss of Cady McCain, Julia Barr and other great actors is TERRIBLE! The show is now filled with tons of younger characters with less depth and connection to Pine Valley. I, for one, along with my mom, and daughter will no longer be viewers of this soap. My favorite characters are dead, the story lines are vague and scattered, and re-hashed over and over! If ABC would like to keep their diminishing fan base then bring back some old characters, find some new writers and have them READ and UNDERSTAND the histories of the current characters!

I have watched over 30 years and I am FURIOUS that the writers killed Dixie without any resolution of her and Tad. I have missed her since she left for Europe and was supposedly killed in a crash. I was thrilled when she returned. Now, YOU SUCK WRITERS OF AMC!!! I am done with AMC unless Dixie returns.
There are many more you can write out of the show. Like "cry baby" Kendall! I became interested in AMC once again after being a 25+ yr viewer when you brought her back. Hard to believe you brought her back only to take her off again....maybe we need new writers?...not a change in characters...

I have waited so long for "Dixie and Tad" to find each other and be together again, why bring Dixie back just to have her die and ruin any chance of her returning? I feel like the show has lost a lot with the recent exit of Cady and Julia, please reconsider and bring Dixie back and shame on you for not giving Brooke/Julia the deserved, respectful exit.
