Having watched AMC from almost the beginning, I find this the most stupid writing move in the shows history. I want to see adults on the show and characters I care about. I don't think anyone would care how Dixie is brought back or if it makes sense, as all that makes sense is fixing this horrid choice. If they need to save money fire the current production team and writers but not the characters we love-- Especially not right in the middle of a storyline!
This is the worst move ever made by AMC. I grew up watching this show everyday for the last 25+ years. T &D made this show. I remember being this made when Jessy left the show. Bring back Langford and Febie's daughter that used to date Tad in highschool would be the only way I continue to watch this show. Kill off the trans not Dixie.
I haven't been watching AMC for all that long, for about 6 years now, but I know enough that this is an AWFUL plot move. Dixie is a character with so much rich history that the writers could have done so much with her. Danielle lives but Dixie dies, how can that be?! Why bother to bring her back, not give her any real storyline and almost immediatelly kill her off. What a shitty move AMC.

I've watched AMC from the beginning, and this has got to be the worst thing they (the writers) have done! (Well, actually getting rid of Brooke was pretty bad, too!) Why did they go to the trouble of bringing her back, and almost getting her back to her normal character (nice, happy person with Tad), only to kill her off? It makes no sense.
My daughter and I have loved AMC and noticed a steady rating decline in the last few years. This show is about family that we have loved thru all the years. Now you stinking writers go and take it away from us and our LOVED Cady (Dixie). Shame on you all. Tad AND HER MAKE this show. They killed Dixie yesterday. I deleted All My Children from my TIVO this morning. Dixie and Tad were the only reasons I watched the show. Kill Kendall!
story line for bringing back Dixie.....Like the one used in the Dallas TV series when Bobby Ewing wakes and it was only a bad dream. It would be the biggest comback story in soap opera history!! The fans would love it!!!!

There are many of us here in Michigan that feel the same way. Give the people what they want and start listening to them. Stop playing to a younger audience. I have been watching All My Children since I was six years old and loved the Dixie/Tad storyline. Killing Dixie off is a huge mistake and an even bigger blow to Cady fans. Why go to all the trouble to bring Dixie/Cady back and then kill the character in the blink of an eye! Not right or fair to AMC/Cady/Dixie fans!!

The last time AMC killed off Dixie I was sooooooooo mad that I did not watch the show for years. I had been a fan of the super couple from the start. I had only began faithfully watching the soap again upon Dixie's return. I LOVE MEK but I can longer watch a show that manipulates it's viewers. I will come back when you bring Dixie back. Say it was just a dream or she was looking down from heaven...and decided to come back for J.R., MEK and Kate. I have never been more disappointed in AMC than I have been the last few days. Kill Dixie off? What was the show thinking? I have been watching AMC for over 30 years and the last few years I have watched it go downhill and slip in the ratings. Why? Stupid storylines and dismissal of beloved characters. Brooke, David, the man you loved to hate, Jack and Erica on the rocks, and so much more. But the worst is the killing Dixie. Where was Palmer? He is the one that your writers left out when his Niece was dying. wow, people everywhere are very upset, beyond belief. We had our regular women's group meeting this morning, and talk was about only ALL MY CHILDREN. 27 women, many of whom have been with this soap since the 70's, some since the first day, are more angry than you can imagine. The audience certainly feels "played" by this last year spending so much time and giving us hope for Tad and Dixie, and for both to have Kate. This was one of the most beloved women on daytime tv, she's an institution of this show.
We have decided we will all change to The Bold and the Beautiful, a program on at the same time, which I am sure cares more about their viewers than AMC.
