Why bring back Barbara Montgomery and kill Dixie? Huh? Tad and Dixie were my fave all-time couple on AMC, and I have stopped watching the show since Dixie "died." I'm secretly hoping this is all a hoax. Say it's not so!
I started watching again in 05 because Dixie is back and now she is gone and I don't know if I will continue watching. Killing her character was a huge mistake.
I missed the show for a few days and came back and Dixie was dead. I can't believe it and it makes me want to stop watching the show. We have been waiting so long for Tad & Dixie to get back together and also find Kate. Please bring her back!

I can't believe what was done to a beloved character and a supercouple in their own right. It's hard to think of what you could have possibly been smoking!
You still have a chance to redeem yourselves, AMC writers. Dixie and Tad had already reunited (we didn't exactly know how much so) and Tad cooks up a plot to be sure Dix is safe by staging her death. He gets Dr's Joe and Jeff in on the plan. When the plan is set in motion, Dixie gets scared, thinks it may be for real, and confesses Krystle's secret. Now Dixie is on a remote island somewhere waiting for the real killer to be found and wondering when JR will tell Tad. You can still bring her back!
I have stopped watching this show since Dixie is no longer there. Once I find out they are bringing her back...that is when I will return...So please bring Dixie back to Tad and Kate.

It is not right for whoever "fired" Cady to get away with it. They need new writers or something, not new actors! I am very disappointed. How stupid is AMC management anyway? Cady is the only reason I watch. You are losing another viewer if you do not get Cady back. From the looks of this petition it looks like you are losing a lot of viewers. do you really want to take that chance?
If you don't bring Dixie back some way I will no longer be watching your show. I even got my husband to start watching with me and he tapes it for me so we can watch it together in the evening when we get home from work. He is also anry about you killing Dixie off. I hope you figure out a way to bring her back. I know that is the only way that I will still be a loyal fan of the show.
I have been watching AMC for over 33 years - it ended the day that the writers decided to kill off Dixie. What a shame to not keep her on and finally let her and Tad get back together and have their family.I've seen the true love stories through out the years with Cliff & Nina, Jenny & Greg,Erica and all of her loves but Tad & Dixie were the best. I'll be watching the news hoping that the writers realize that they made a HUGE mistake and figure out a way to bring her back. Until then I have freed up an hour of space on my recorder by taking AMC out of the line up.
AMC is displaying the same contempt towards their older viewers as they are towards their older cast members. We want to see Dixie reunited with Tad, so please chalk up the 1/31 episode to a bad dream an bring her back!!!
It is terrible what they are doing over at AMC. I have started watching again after Cady went back. I watched her on ATWT also.She is a very good actress. AMC is crazy for letting her go.
I have more time in my day now that I have no need to tape and watch AMC. I've been a fan since the beginning but the storylines this past year have been horrible. First Brooke and David (that was bad enough)and now Dixie is gone. Well, I don't have to bother with AMC anymore.

Also David could have stolen her body and found a way to revive her. There has to be something. I haven't seen a funeral yet so there is still time.

I am a mom of 2 and have watched this show for most of my life... until now. I stopped, and it's the only time I've ever made the decision that I simply won't watch anymore. I will remember Pine Valley as it is supposed to be. With the exit of "Brooke" and now the "death" of Dixie - both principal characters, the show is no longer "All My Children". The person(s) who made these recent, insane, decisions about story lines and casting need to find a job in a different industry. They have no business writing against the history of a show that has been around for so long. If ABC won't fix this incredible travesty, then they need to change the name of the show, because "All My Children" doesn't exist anymore.
When Dixie left the last time, I was disappointed and decided to start watching ATWT when they hired Cady. I love her acting,and the spirit that she brings to a show. I am so disappointed in AMC, especially whoevers decision it was to let such a fan favorite get FIRED. The one who should have been/ should be fired is the idiot that made that decision!!!!!

I have been watching faithfully since 1978 (and it was my only soap), but I am THROUGH with AMC. The only way I will consider watching again is if ABC finds a way to bring Dixie back and FAST! I have not watched the show since Dixie's death and am only keeping up with what's happening on the web, just in case ABC wakes up and brings her back. Tad & Dixie were always such a FUN couple. So, I'm looking at NBC soaps to see if I can find a new soap I like.
This is insane! The Tad and Dixie story was finally taking off. There was no reason to kill her off. Please kill Babe, Krystal, Erica, and Kendell, but not Dixie!!! AMC has become CSI:Pine Valley. I can't believe what is happening to the storyline (or lack of one) Killing off Dixie was a major mistake. They have forgotten all about the fans who have been watching this show for many years. I was upset by the lack of send off for Julia Barr (who was a fantastic actress and great character), and to kill off Dixie when she was about to be reunited with Tad and Kate is a major mistake. I join the others who are no longer interested in watching what was once a well-written soap. The majority of actors are doing a great job - it is the writers who need a wake-up call.

I have watched All My Children since its inception. I was disappointed when Simone was killed off, but when they killed Dixie I was in a state of shock and disbelief. I am no longer interested in watching. I can't stand most of the stoeies they have going. Colby is unwatchable and nothing else even gets my interest. I'm done!
I'm still hoping that they've hidden Dixie away to protect her from the killer. Tad and Dixie are the only supercouple left. I am very disappointed not only that Dixie was killed but also at the timing. And the part with her ghost recognizing Kate was not only hokey, but made no sense anyway. She had seen and been around Kathy numerous times...it took death to recognize that she was her daughter? Very poorly done. I have been watching AMC since I can remember, and for the first time ever, I no longer have the desire to watch it. For many of my working years, it has been my routine to end my day watching the show, something I could always look forward to, and now that little bit of joy has been taken away. There is no happily ever after to look forward to on AMC anymore, and that is very depressing.

I am thoroughly disgusted with the writers on AMC and their decision to kill off McClain. I have been watching this show my entire life and I have never considered stop watching until now. The decision to exit Brooke was also a major mistake, but even worse is the retribution McCain is suffering because she voiced her views about Barr's exit. The Producers should be ashamed that they punished McClain for exercising her right to free speech. Bring her back--hell, Tad had a near death experience, Dixie's ghost can be explained away.
Okay, first AMC writes Brooke off without so much as a "goodbye"...a totally disrespectful way to treat a beloved, longterm character (let alone the actress).
