The writers can bring Dixie back, if they really tried. Her death could've been a plot to make the killer think he killed her, but once they catch the killer, they could bring her back. I've seen ONE LIFE TO LIVE BRING people back, we've seen it done so many times over the years. AMC better listen to the fans or the show will suffer.

I was very disappointed by the killing off of Dixie. I have watched AMC for over 20 years and it was great to have her back, I'm sick of the Babe JR repeat story line. JR goes from loving husband to killer Husband over and over, enough is enough. Bring back some of the good old stories. Hopefully they are just trying to trick us and Dixie is not really dead. That would make a good stroyline.

I wish I knew how Brian Frons keeps his job. Or how the writers on this show keep theirs. He is awful, and they are awful, and they proved it by what they have done to Cady McClain and her character, Dixie. I didn't like the whole storyline for Cady this last year. She did things that Dixie would never have done before. I blame this on the very very inferior writing. Bring back Cady and get rid of Frons and his lemmings.

Tad and Dixies story is wonderful. I can't believe they ended it like this. They need to PLEASE bring back Dixie. I've loved her since I was little. She's such a strong person for the show.
I have watched AMC since the early 70's when I was a little girl. Tad and Dixie have always represented the heart and soul of AMC. The show has lost so much of its heart and history in the last few years, and the return of Dixie, and the eventual reunion with Tad, seemed to be finally resurrecting AMC's former spirit. With Dixie killed off so senselessly, and the fans being so cruelly deprived of the very long awaited reunion with Tad and baby Kate, I feel as though the show has finally turned the final corner to something I don't recognize or enjoy any more. I'm beyond sad to say that my 35 years of watching AMC has come to an end.
I've watched AMC since the day it started, dixie better be the one who really isn't dead in the upcoming shows or this once loyal viewer will do her chores during that hour and not be a Loyal viewer any longer. If you had to kill her off the least you could have done is completed the dixie/tad/kate storyline, leaving us loyal viewers with satisfaction instead of disappointing disgust at how you handled this.

Well, I already signed this, but my grandmother, who has been watching the show since it started--told me today to write a letter to ABC and say how disgusted we are. Although we were both infuriated about Dixie's death, she claims that she was on the verge of ditching the show anyway because of the violence. And did the writers seriously tell Cady and Vince that they couldn't come up with new storylines for them? Are you kidding me? And why exactly are these writers who can't come up with any more stories still writing for you?! Heck, I'm an English major, I'll come up with some stories for you! Seriously, something is wrong when actors are being fired because the writers are incompetent and uncreative and cannot do their jobs. Part of me hopes that you bring Dixie back--part of me hopes that you'll ask her and she'll have nothing to do with you because frankly, Ms. McClain and all of the actors deserve better than this. I mean, what if you went to work and got fired because your co-workers couldn't do their jobs? Get it right. Fire the people who aren't doing their jobs, and keep the ones who are...Who are not only doing their jobs but keeping you in business...cuz I'm pretty sure you would be out of a job without the actors/characters that we (your consumers) want to see. It seems there is a lot more story to be written involving Tad and Dixie. They have always been one of daytime's favorite couples and it seems a shame to end this.

I wish I knew about this site when Dixie was killed off. I haven't been watching much anymore. I was so upset with Dixie's death, it was like who cares anymore. I don't know what the writers were thinking, all the good actors are going. Are they going to have a 20's something cast or what. Erica better look out, she is the oldest. I've watched since the beginning of the show, yes, I'm old, but this has always been my favorite show. I read someone won't be dead after all, but it will probably be Babe. It was oh well, when I heard she was next. Not many left in Pinevalley.

Enough is enough!!! I'm so tired of the veterns being treated so badly and having to put up with Zarf/Zoey, Sean, Colby, and the likes. Liza would have never raised a brat like Colby, and would have never let her run off without following her. I was so happy when Dixie came back, and then suffered through the horrible storyline, and then when the "Real" Dixie came back and she and Tad were coming back together, you pull this stupid stunt. Please, please bring back the good AMC that I have watched since it began.

This is a so insulting to true AMC fans, who like myself, grew up with Tad and Dixie. Truly one of the most beloved super soap couples ever. What were they thinking? From the look of the last several story lines their priority seems to be alienate the long time viewers. I hope people quit watching in droves and those involved in this stupid 'kill Dixie' plot are all fired. The survival of the whole show may well depend on getting Dixie back. Viewers are so angry about her dismissal, not to mention the recent firings of other popular vets, that at this point they're abandoning AMC in large numbers.Whatever differences the "suits" may have with Cady McClane herself need to be addressed and resolved post haste, because firing Cady has already done irreparable damage to AMC.

I have watched this show from the VERY FIRST episode. In fact, this is the ONLY soap I watch. Quit watching after Dixie was killed off the first time. Got back into it a couple of years later. This is the last straw...I will not be watching AMC any longer. Hopefully, Cady McClain will be working on another soap...I will definitely watch it.

I have been watching All My children since the 1970s, and this is the first time I have ever felt angry enough to quit. How can the producers of the show be so contemptuous of its fans!
I am 21 years old and the only reason I had any interest in this show at all was because of the vets- Tad and Dixie, Brooke, Opal and Palmer, etc. Tad and Dixie were the only characters left that I actually cared about who had a storyline. Now with Dixie gone I have no reason to watch anymore. It is foolish writing to eliminate all the veterans and their infinite storyline possibilities and rich histories, and the show we are left with is intolerable for me to watch. I am not going to dedicate 5 hours of my life every week to a show knowing that any character could be killed at any time for any reason. It is pointless and it is not good storytelling. Unless Cady is brought back as Dixie and the veterans and viewers are given the respect they deserve, I will no longer be watching "All My Children".

The storyline for Cady McClain's return playing Dixie was one of the WORST stories I have EVER watched on ANY show!
