I truly felt as if a wonderful, caring friend had died when Dixie took her last breathe. She was always a favorite of mine and to have her come back just to die is unforgivable. If you can bring Babe back you can have Dixie stashed away at Wildwind with Kate/Cathy. Please bring our Dixie back.

I love Dixie! When Babe and Dixie were killed off I did not want to watch the show anymore. They give the stability and love needed for the other bad characters. It is heartbreaking!

I have been watching AMC since the early 70'S and now it seems AMC has reached an all time low. The writers need to listen to the fans. Bring Dixie back and get rid of some of the characters that no one would miss. I guess it's time to check out other soaps on different networks, maybe I'll find Cadie there. Maybe another network will pick up all the cast-off's from ABC soaps and then the fans will be happy again.

Killing Dixie was the worst thing for your show and the fans. Why bother to bring her back at all. I guess you are trying to replace Passions at the bottom of the ratings chart. Butmaybe you can save yourselves if Babe isn't really dead, maybe the same is true for

I'm so glad some has started this petition. I too have been watching the show for many years and was so happy when Dixie come back to the show. I was disappiointed by her story line...what were the writers thinking? But, still it was Dixie, such a beloved character. I just cannot believe they chose to write her off the show. There are some characters in a show that connect with the audience in a special way and Cady was able to do that with Dixie. I missed the show where she dies and caught it the next day...I can't believe I actually cried, but it wasn't the show I was crying over, rather the fact that the writers offed Dixie...I was stunned and so sad that she won't be a part of the show. I understand there may have been some issues, but as far as I'm concerned, Cady could have been running around the set naked, smoking pot and shouting obscenities and that would not be problem enough to fire her. This is Dixie for crying out loud. Have they gone mad at AMC? Find a way to bring her back!

I have watched AMC since it started. I love the TadnDixie. I did not like the story as to why she was gone for 4 yrs, but Cady did a great job with that bad writing. You should never have made Tad the one who killed Madden. Totally stupid idea.killing Dixie out of the blue like this is sheer stupidity. I hate it that Dixie is gone and Tad is so lost. Killing/Firing Dixie was a BAD call-TPTB have not only lost a wonderful actress with Cady - they've also lost that magic that only she and Michael Knight shared. To add to that, they've also lost a 30+ year dedicated fan...So long Dixie and so long AMC!

This show has turned into a discrace. First Julia Barr is let go after 30 years with not so much as a farewell scene for the viewers have grown with her over the years, now Cady is fired after viewers waited so long for her return. What is next? Erica goes out for dinner and just never returns? I can't believe a show would be this disrespectful not only to the actors have have led to its popularity but to the viewers who have supported it for years. This is a complete slap in the face. I won't be the only viewer who tunes out due to this type of treatment of not only the cast but the rich history of the show. These types of decisions are making a mockery of this soap. Someone needs to step up and correct these mistakes soon, before to much of your fanbase is lost to recover.
I have been watching AMC since I was 5 and would watch with my mom over lunch. I am now 32 and have never been more disappointed with a show than I am write now. As if it wasn't bad enough that a brilliant actress like Julia Barr who has been with the show for 30 years was written off with not so much as a wave goodbye, but now Dixie has been killed off right when fans are finally getting the Tad and Dixie reunion that they have waited for for years. TPTB have made a mockery of the show and have been immeasurably disrespectful not only to the fans but to the history of this show. I think AMC will see a huge dip in their ratings due to this, and rightfully so. I know I will think twice before I tune in again. How can I respect an entity that shows so little respect for its viewers?
