I can't believe this is happening again. I have been a fan of this show since 1979 and this is possible the worst thing since killing off Jenny. I almost quit watching back then. Now the show has become mind numbing, with its storylines....shame on you!
I know it is already filmed- But how could you! Kill Dixie-We loyal fans have waited 18 yrs for Dixie & Tad to have a child..Waited 5 yrs to FINALLY start a journey back to each other and NOW you kill her- I can only HOPE there is a way you can bring her back someday and SOON! because if not-I will be saying good bye to my only soap-They are the "super couple" and I have watched & loved and WAITED to see fall back in LOVE! PLEASE BRING DIXIE back! MEK is great but with CM is only more Brilliant!

As a longtime viewer of AMC, I am appauled at the lack of respect that has been given to not only Cady but to Julia Barr as well. Meanwhile, other veteran characters including Lucci and Canary have been pushed to the side. I no longer feel compelled to watch this program anymore. To the daytime executives, if your goal is to alienate fans, you've succeeded.

Obviously you either don't know or don't care about your viewership. You have betrayed us by killing Dixie/firing Cady at this point. I started watching the love story of Tad and Dixie since I was 14(1992). I just don't understand why AMC brought her back just to kill her off when things got to be interesting again. Not only the show has already flushed Brooke and even Opal, but they have lied to us : when I read the magazines, they were all talking about how Tad and Dixie were gonna have a life with Kate. If Cady goes, I go cause the only story I was watching was hers and MEK. Pretty please...
This would be the end of AMC, cuz Tad and Dixie are the only good character/actors on the show. Cady and MEK have such great chemistry thats what makes thte show great and the reason that i watch the show. It's wrong to bring her back and the storylines just to get rid of her again. Cady McClain has been a fan fave since she joined the cast many years ago. We were all upset the first time they "Killed" her off and many of us, myself included, will stop watching if the kill her off again. It has been Tad and Dixie that belong together, no one else will ever be right for Tad. Kepp her on the show or lose a lot of us fans forever. We will boycott the show!!!

I've waitied too long to see 'Tad and Dixie' reunite and now that they are heading down that road, this is what we get! Please don't let Cady go!! This is just horrible! What a terrible loss for the fans of AMC and Tad and Dixie! So much history between this incredible couple and you have thrown it away. You obvioulsy have no regards for T/D's fan base and/or the history of this beautiful couple. To hell with whatever crap you came up with like fans want to see more of Krystal and Babe. Your show can go to hell! I have been a fan of AMC since the beginning of Tad and Dixie, almost 20 years and this is what I get? I will never watch again! MEK and Cady McClain have the most incredible Chemisty.... It's untouchable. No other couple out there even comes CLOSE!

The Tad and Dixir story is part of the backbone of "All My Children". Too many untalented newbies are being brought on and the veterans are either being fired or put on back burners. Cady is a wonderful actress and even though she has left at times, I have always been so happy when she is comes back. To kill her character off would be a great injustice to the many fans who truly love her work with Michael Knight. I am still trying to understand why you let Julia Barr go. I don't know who your focus groups are, but you have it all wrong.
How can you end the story like this when you just brought on Kate?? Please rethink this story line and do the right thing get rid of the kids (Shawn and Colby) and let us keep one of the vets.

I started watching in summer of 92 and Dixie has been a favorite character since then. Her stories are not always the best but Cady sells it and I watch. She's off and I'm less likely to watch. Unlike 92, I actually have an income now and I'm willing to spend it on products I may see while I'm watching. ABC, I can't if I'm not watching though.

I have watched this show with my mom since I was a little girl. I can remember when Dixie came into the show and I fell in love with her character form the get go! I was very upset when the AMC writers killed her and Baby Kate off! How could they do this! The Dixie&Tad storyline has always been one of their best. I must say that I have been a very loyal fan and have watched every day or haved taped it. If they still decide to go through with killing off or I mean firing Dixie, I will be forced to stop watching the show and I will urge all my friends and family to do the same! Are you crazy! On top of spiting Cady, you're slapping me, a loyal viewer in the face! If you kill off Dixie, you've lost me as a viewer. Why bother watching when instead of getting our payoff, we get stabbed in the back. Obviously, you can fire anyone. Why not just kill off Erica and be done with the whole show.
Of all the storylines that i was anticipating, killing Dixie was not one I had considered. It is absolutely absurd! The writers and producers should be thinking of the fans first, not their own egos b/c she spoke out about the firings of julia b. and vince i. The return of Dixie gave me hope that this soap will thrive again,but alas it appears the writers are destined to destroy a once great daytime drama.
I have been a loyal viewer of AMC since 1977. It is now an empty shell of it's former self... It was once a first class drama with top notch writing...Now it's an unwatcheable mess--full of ridiculous, convoluted story lines, that are almost too painstaking to watch.
And with the latest firing of Cady McClain, among some other valuable vets of late, I am putting this travesty of a show on permanent hiatus from my tv schedule.

I have watched AMC for over 20yrs and if Dixie is fired, I will quit watching AMC and so will my friends. Dixie and Tad's storyline is one of the better stories. They have so such chemistry. Whoever is responsible for letting Dixie go is lame and they need to be fired. Your ratings will really go down now!!!!
I don't even like Dixie. I haven't liked her since she was a little niave annoying girl cleaning up Chandler mansion. However this is completely wrong. I am so afraid for my show. So afraid. The fact that she would be fired for voicing her opinion against the travesty that has turned into TPTB enrages me. So much for women being able to profess their power through their strength and words. A shame and a pity.
Cady mcclain is the best thin that happened to amc.the show will just go down the drain with out her it it. she gives off a certain kind of glow to the show and no one can replace that.

I just want to tell ABC that the Tad and Dixie storyline was the storyline which kept me viewing in 1992. I was devastated by Dixie's supposed death in 2002 and was thrilled to finally have the character back and being portrayed by the original actress, Cady McClain. Michael E. Knight and Cady McClain have a chemistry together which goes unmatched to this day. If ABC does choose to go through with murdering Dixie and releasing Cady McClain, then a huge part of AMC's history will be permanently destroyed. Please listen to our comments. Think this through before you lose all of McClain's fans.

Nothing is going right on this show. None of the couples that you want to see together ever make it. Getting rid of Dixie makes no sense...PLEASE PUT HER, TAD AND KATE TOGETHER! Why wouldn't they want to do that?! In the old days you couldn' WAIT to watch it. Now, there are so many dumb storylines, that I'm FF the entire show. What's sadder is they are getting paid good money to write these crappy storylines.
I was so disappointed to hear that Dixie was going to be killed off. I can't believe it! I have already stopped watching the show...I cannot bear to see Tad and Dixie to continue to get close to finding Kate only to end in Dixie's ridiculous murder. Regardless of any disapproval you may have with Cady's comments, it is TOTALLY counterproductive and just plain bad business to fire her at this point in the story! I have watched this show since 1970 and it USED to be good! What the hell happened? I remember the Jenny & Greg story line but the last couple of years has really showed very poor writing. Is anyone safe from the AXE? KEEP DIXIE... if not your surly going to kill the show. Should we expect Micheal and Susan to be killed in the comming months?
