For 35 years, I've watched AMC. I turned my college daughter on to it. We're both rooting for Tad & Dixie. If Cady goes, I guess we will too. Keep her please.
I'm tired of the lack of respect for the fans that the powers that be at AMC have showed for a while now. Cady's firing is the last straw. I will miss you, AMC
HOW DARE YOU! Cady is the only reason I'm even watching this show anymore! You are destroying your loyal fans by getting rid of her. She is an amazing actress who has worked too hard and too long to have this thrown in her face. It's disgusting that you would do this to her. She deserves better.
Ive been watching AMC for over 30 years. I am shocked that Dixie is going to be killed off. I was hoping for a Dixie and Tad reunion. What a let down to all true viewers like myself. Please dont kill off Dixie. I dont know how much longer I'll be watching, its just not looking like the PV I've enjoy watching.

In my view, we could use some virtuous, or at least reasonably vvirtuous, characters on soaps, and so, since this character was on her way back to being someone worthwhile when she was written out, _PLEASE_, if you can, bring her back and continue the good progress!
I am disgusted that CM was fired from AMC. I will NEVER watch AMC again I won't even give ABC the viewers on any of their shows.ABC & AMC has lost me as a viewer.
I have loved Dixie for the past 20 years. You are taking away the history of AMC. Cady brought us love and happiness into our homes. Please, I want to see her and Tad together again. i have been a tad and dixie fan since the begining.. i cant belive this...if she goes then so does the set recording of amc on my tivo... i am done with all my children once se leaves.. i am appalled.
If you have to get rid of her-don't kill her-you can bring her back later as you've done before-but next time she can be the old Dixie we all love -as of now she is nothing like "Dixie" {kind hearted}-

I've hung in with this show for 30+ years, but when Dixie/Cady goes for the final time, I will never watch this show again. I can't keep seeing all my favorite actors leave or be killed off for all these new, cheaper teenagers.
I am appalled with their decision! While they are at it, why don't they just kill all the characters. It is too easy to kill characters rather than write them off!!!
How can you do this? Are you this desperate for your show to get cancelled? Not just writing Dixie off, but KILLING her off is akin to killing your show. Don't do it. A lot more is at stake here than the loss of a character you 'killed off' five years previous. The disrespect all soap veterans, both actors and VIEWERS, have received over the years is about to boil over into one big avalanche called CANCELLATION.
ABC/AMC please don't fire Cady Mcclain. I know that the stupid focus group said that fans want more of Babe and Krysta and if you really cared about the fans you would know that we are TIRED of Babe and KWAK
I don't usually get disturbed by casting changes, but this is ridiculous. TPTB have blown it big time. They have never taken a Tad and Dixie reunion seriously and now they are cutting their losses instead of writing a quality storyline. Buy a clue folks.
I have watched AMC since it first came on when I was a kid. TO see all the people with history written off means we have less invested in the show. Maybe this will be my reason to quite after all these years.
This is by far THE WORST decision of the MANY bad ones by AMC. Instead of creating intriguing storylines that make me want to watch, they have finally driven me completely away from watching AMC> So after 20+ years of loyalty watching my AMC I'm throwing in the towel and will not watch again. Sorry to all the current wonderful actors on the show but I'm done. TPTB who decide this stuff have NO CLUE what fans like. Sadly, it's probably already too late to protest. Thanks AMC, for ruining the only show that I consistently looked forward to watching. Good luck in the future because you'll need it and the loss of fans will prove it!
Keep Dixie! Her missing years can generate future storylines with depth (along with characters who can think). Writers worth their salt should be jumping at these possible stories. Lately, AMC has been throwing away the 'meaty' characters keeping the 'empty calorie' ones. It seems like the writers are working at self-destruction. I've been watching since the beginning and am ready to turn AMC off for good.
I have watched AMC since I was in high school. Tad and Dixie are the reason -- without this sweet couple, I will not watch anymore. If she must leave right now, don't kill her -- at least then she can come back at some point -- like when you realize what a mistake it was to get rid of her in the first place! Tad and JR will both be ruined and never be the same -- Tad has never been as good with anyone as he has been with Dixie, and she is the only saving grace for JR. I understand the desire to have the young and new actors/actresses, but the established couples and actors are very important -- give us hope that stability and real relationships can last. Otherwise you have only turmoil -- I have enough of that in my own life!!
I can't believe AMC is doing this. Dixie is the heart of Pine Valley. She might've had a rough year but she's been through hell and shouldn't be killed off just when her happiness is just about to start.
This move is beyond stupid!! What are the writers hoping to accomplish? The faithful viewers have stuck through all the silly storylines of the past few years and now this. The veterans are treated horribly. Can't the writers get a clue from the Young and Restless. They continue to find stories that involve core families. I guess that takes talent and imagination. I think All my Children should be renamed "Who are these children."
