I would really hate to see the Gilmore Girls canceled. This show gave such a positive influence for young teenage girls out there. It taught them they could be shy, it taught them it was okay to be smart and it taught them to be independent. I am very disappointed of the decisions that are being made and I wish beyond all hope that at least the Gilmore Girls can be saved, if even for a little while, to give the teenage girls of America the hope and trust that if they are smart, independent and creative they can make it in this world and become very successful in anything they try to accomplish. Please if anything, bring the Gilmore Girls back for at least a half of a season and end one of the most influential shows for teenage girls a proper send off and finale... not a show that you wrote as a season finale thinking that they would be back for one more season and after the show was taped and the cast and crew had gone cancel the show out from under them. They deserve to see the characters that they have played for the past 7 years have a proper goodbye.... don't you think it is only fair to your viewers as well as your cast?
Gilmore Girls is the best show on television. I cannot believe that there's such a strong possibility that it won't return. I was devastated beyond belief to learn that. I actually cried (and I don't cry). Season 7 was a bit of a disappointment to so many of us. We would love have a season to make up for this one. Luke and Lorelai are finally back together, but not until the last episode. I think may of us feel cheated by that. We don't get to see our favorite couple truly reunited and having worked things out. I know many of us would love to see their relationship grow and move on to the next level. I was really looking forward to a Luke and Lorelai wedding, at the very least. This show means so much to me, and has done so much for me. I couldn't even begin to write it out in words. I hate the idea that it won't be back. Please, please, please consider bringing the best show ever back for another season. Or perhaps I should be begging Alexis Bledel to sign for an 8th season. Please, sign, Alexis. I'd do just about anything to see this show continue. So, Alexis, name it
There is no way that the show should be ending, the show has so many possibilities. I feel like i lost my best friend. Please Please Please bring them back!!!!!!!
I think it is terrible to end this wonderful show like that. It is obvious that it was thrown together. All we want is one more season to resolve everything!
I LOVE this show and I know all things must end sometime...but NOT NOW,NOT LIKE THIS. The last episode was beyond sad...it was downright awful...it felt like just what it was,a rushed, incompleteblunt ending to an incredible 7 years. Please come back and give us the ending, wedding etc we've beenwaiting for.
As a mom, I do not have much time for myself. However on Tuesday nights, when the most awe inspiring, comical show comes on (Gilmore Girls) that is my time out for just me. Please bring this show back so I can conintue to indugle myself for one hour a week. Thank you!
I love this show, though it feels SO unfinished. A eighth season is needed. I need it! We all do! We're not ready to say goodbye. As Paris's life coach says,
I am a loyal watcher of the show, it has come to a point where I may consider myself a Gilmore Girls super fan. I may have come late to the party, but every Tuesday for the past three years at 8 o'clock I watched Gilmore Girls religiously. It gave mother, my sister, and myself time to bond even if it meant not talking and watching another mother and daughter, It made all the difference. Gilmore girls can't cancel I did everything i could to watch it and no one could talk well it was on ether it was my show a retuial for me on tuesday nights .. i didnt really do much on tuesdays to insure that i wouldnt miss it at all .. i dont know what i would do with out the show it can't be cancled when i found out that it was over my heart just like droped in my chest i didnt know what i would do on tuesday nights .. it is the best show and there is potential for way way more seasons so i dont understand why they are stopping it .. GILMORE GIRLS NEEDS TO MAKE A COME BACK!!!!!!!
we deserve more than this lame finale. we waited two years for this nightmare to be over and when things finally got better they took everything away from us. we wan closure. we want LL. i want this horrible storyline from last year and season worth watching. give us season 8. we were loyal fans.
The show, its characters, actors and their fans, need and deserve a final season that was planned as such, not a last minute name change from season to series finale, without a full season to bring closure. So much is missing, stories we've waited seven years for, and we all want it now. Bring GG back for proper closure and a grand send off, please!

It was a very good episode but I really feel the story has not ended. Please bring it back for another few episodes and close the story. You owe it to the girls... you owe it to the fans!

The season finale was waaaaaay too abrupt to be a series finale -- and moreover, it makes the Lorelai-Christopher marriage-divorce trainwreck (a story that I nevertheless liked), the climax of the Lor-Luke storyline, and that's just terrible story structure that neither the LC storyline nor the last 5 episodes were meant to bear. It's unfair to the meaning of the *season itself* to end the series now.Also, hey! While the petition doesn't specifically target Lauren (she's one of the producers and is threfore covered anyway), she should be on the petition, too!
There is so much that could be done with this show to keep it alive... at least give us one more season where things are tied upand a glimpse into the future is there so we know how the girls ended up
I have watched Gilmore Girls from the beginning and always thought it was the best show on TV. Please give it the ending it deserves with a final season 8 or at least a 2 hour finale to tie up all the storylines.
