I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE PETITIONING...? Are you trying to say the plots lately suck and that if they don't go back to how they are then you are going to stop watching?? First off, in the begin of the show Rory was in high school and Lorelai was looking for a man and hoping to build an inn. This so called "soap opera" plots you talk about, think about it...if after season 1 and 2 everything fell into place all fine and dandy lorelai married luke and she got her inn and Rory got her journalism degree, how long do you think that would take them???? Not long and the whole purpose of the series is for that point, the show would end after that. PLUS they have not yet done anything on that show that you don't see all the time.Of course the stealing a boat and having a twelve year old child appear out of no where, doesn't happen as often but it still happens!! So DON'T be saying its SOAP OPERA-ISH!!! I DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PETTION!

Luke and Lorelai have to get married. If they don't the show will lose the majority of their viewers. Don't they care about that? They certainly should.

WHO THE HELLS STUPID IDEA WAS THIS?? Someone is going to have to explain to me what posessed the writers we love to do this. Both to us and our Gilmore. This cannot go on. If we let this happen what will happen next? Lane becomes very drug addicted because she is turned down by her one true love of Kirk and the only one who knows is Taylor but he won't tell because he could never betray the woman he loves like that yet he sleeps with Emily who is distraught because she has found out that Pennilin Lot is her sister and that Richard knew all along and that his mother told him on her death bed and the reason he told no one he knew she was dead was because he knew it was an evil plot by logan huntzberger to try and get emily to love him. and Lorilei and Luke turn out to be twins but emily never knew because the docter told her the second baby died so he could give it to his cousin in the small town of stars hollow and rory finally admits her attraction to T.J who leaves Liz for her who then finds finds comfort in the arms of Jesses father but wait that's not jesses father...
You see what I'm saying the horrible things that running through my mind as i contemplate this whoe thing and ok hyperventailating now this cannot happen! if this happens I am going to have to march on LA or whereever the studios are with a really big cardboard sign and a really little water bottle but knowing my luck tat won't matter because it will raining but it won't because of that stupid liqiud sunshine law and then i will have justice and by that i do mean murder whoever itched this ridiculas crap!!
If I wanted to watch a primetime soap, I'd still be watching "The O.C.". "Gilmore Girls" has always been heavy on the comedy and random references. Making it more like a soap will take away from the comedic aspect and make it too melodramatic. Keep "Gilmore Girls" the way it was!

However, I will still state my concerns. Gilmore Girls is my favorite show ever. I know Gilmore Girls is most peoples favorite show. When this happens, people will be let down. People will be disapointed. There will be contraversy, my friend. Major contraversy. To save my favorite show from being cancled because of poor ratings, I am letting you know that people will not be happy. Just because I am only number 70 doesn't mean that only 70 of us believe that this is a bad idea. I will never stop watching Gilmore Girls, but alot of people will. So beware. Pretty much I am agreeing with every single word uttered by Muffin is Injured. Or typed by her I suppose. Unless she has one of those super cool computers that you talk to and it writes down what you say! Have those even been invented yet? If not, I've taken it upon myself to invent it. Check back with me in a few years and I'll let you know how that's going for me. Anyway, I'm so furious with ASP right now I can't begin to express it. Finally some action about this. The show will seriously lose a lot of viewers if they break up Luke and Lorelai. From everywhere around me I hear comments and people freaking out. I did read an article that Scott will be in season 7 (an interview with Scott himself) but even than, with all the spoilers, it doesn't look good. So please do something and keep Luke and Lorelai together. At least 85% of all the fans want them together, only 10 want her to be with Chris and the rest doesn't care. But 85% is a lot and if you lose all those fans, the show is lost and ruined. We don't want that to happen!!!
Scott Patterson has to stay on, and they cant cancel the show. Look back for season 1 and 2 for inspiration, thats what the show was all about.

I'm already on the verge of leaving GG. This season is so flat. To not have Lor and Rory reunited for her 21st birthday was bad enough, but to bring in a child from Luke's past would do me in. If Luke has a child, it should be b/c Lor is pregnant or Rory takes his name or something after LL get married. UGH. If this happens, I'm outtahere.

My first gut reaction: WHAT! Then comes the ranting. What is happening to this show that was once one of TV Guide's Best Shows You're Not Watching? This is no longer that show if things go as the spoilers say. Insane idea, definitely!
This is absolutely ridiculous! I've held on with this show (which has more or less gone downhill since the season 4 finale, with a few exceptions here and there) because I kept reminding myself of the show that I used to love. I kept hoping that it would return to its former sarcastic glory without the blatant ratings prostitution. Increase the drawma, no matter how ridiculous and inappropriate it is (a.k.a. Rory turning into a pod person). Sadly, it seems that ASP will not be remedying this situations anytime soon. While "Gilmore Girls" may have gained some fair-weather veiwers attracted to some of the new "storylines," she's alienating and losing the viewers that have supported and loved this show since the pilot. I really hope that these spoilers are not true, but if they are, I'm going to have to throw in the towel and stick with my DVDs of the first few seasons. Bring the show back to its former glory, please.

The viewers here have been waiting for six years for that marriage, and damn it, we're gonna get it! We've supported them and watched faithfully, and they suddenly drop a bomb like this? It's just not right, it's not fair. I know I sound like a whiny child (which I am). But I am seriously angry about this- why would they bring a long-lost daughter into the mix? They have enough drama already, not enough L/L action, and a lovely little spattering of comedy. Why do they need a stupid little pretentious girl anyway? This is completely ridiculous (the whole illegitimate daughter thing). I've seen soap operas and they aren't as fun or witty as Gilmore Girls. Between us, I know someone that works on the WB sets and word is Scott's getting mighty close to signing a contract. As long as he signs, I think we're in the clear. And if he doesn't, this will be yet another ruined show for me. I will no longer trust television if it rips the most realistic couple you'll see on television apart.

reunited with his long lost daughter from a one night
escapade with a hooker he met in Hartford. Tonight,

Lorelai entered Luke's Diner that night, believing it
to be no different from any other, but she was soon to
be shown that it was, indeed, a grave mistake to make
such an assumption. No sooner had she made it to the
counter, than Luke rushed out of the storage room in a
worried frenzie. He grabbed her by her arm, pulling
her up the stairs behind him. They made it to his
appartment, and he closed and locked the door. Lorelai
giggled to herself, and made a remark to Luke about
how he couldn't even wait until that night to 'have
her'. Luke, however, did not laugh... Instead, he
looked her in the eye with a purpose to his stare.
"Lorelai," he said, "there is something rather
important that I'm afraid I must tell you... It is a
story that I have been burdened with for quite some
time now... Thirty-nine years ago, two young people of
the alliance of the werewolves had a magical night
together. After nearly 5 years of successful dates,

When I heard about it that was the first thing I thought- Bad fan fiction writer anyone? Luke has a long lost daughter? WHAT THE [insert word that I would probably get kicked off the site for]?? GAH! JUST GAH! I hope to dear sweet Jesus that she isn't his daughter, or she ends up getting run over by a Mach truck or something. JUST GET THE GIRL OFF THE SHOW! I don't want it! Why are we throwing another spanner in the LL works? An irreversible spanner? Ot's not like it can go "Oh, woah, hold on a moment there, you're having a dream. Poof, wake up, you are not a father," or "Golly, I just realized, my name's not April, it's Samantha, and I live with my father and mother and my brother named Julian, and I just had some insane fit where I thought I was a non-existant person." DAMMIT!! I will stay with ASP and hope she knows just what the hell she's doing, but that was a hell of a lot easier before I read that spoiler. I am not reading spoilers anymore. Taking the WB by storm and holding them at gunpoint until they agree to rewrite it is about the only think I can think of at the moment. Heck, while we're there, we'll make Logan and Emily run away with each other, and Rory will get hit on the head with an anvil and realize what a mistake she's made. THAT'S were all the anvils went. I love gilmores and mostly because of the Luke/Lorelai pairing. I think the story line is getting a little weak. Almost like they are trying to find ideas that will mess up the show. I used to trust the writers in what they were doing, but it's getting harder! SO SAVE GILMORE GIRLS and think carefully about what happens because the only reason it is still on air is because all of its fans and it would be a shame if they all got mad and ditched Gilmore Girls to watch a different show with a less dramatic plot.
