16 years of enjoying this lovely free beach...its a travesty...I thought a few years ago it was decreed that beaches were not allowed to be fenced off?!
Please leave the beach! Property and schools are so expensive and we cannot afford a beach club! There are so many more places to develop, please leave this one little bit of land!
A part of the reason I love living in Dubai is this beach. My child has been given the opportunity to have safe family fun on this beach a few times a week, where are we to go now!
Not all hotels are on the beach, where should tourists staying away from a beach go to enjoy a nice day at a beach for free. If Dubai cannot offer a beach to tourists, expats and locals that is convenient and free of charge - the appeal will soon be lost.
How can there be so much development and publicity to attract ex-pats to move here and then reduce the number of facilities available to them. There is obviously a need for this public beach as whenever I go there it is always busy. Closing this beach will only add to the current low morale felt by many ex-pats and soon Dubai will find all these new developments will be empty as other countries can offer a better overall lifestyle for people. Please think of thepeople who have helped to make Dubai a success from the labourers, service staff, managers to locals - everyone has contributed so everyone should be able to share and enjoy.
I definitely support this petition with all my heart! Please stop the greedy siezing of all spaces in Dubai. Where are we supposed to go to relax if we are not in the top 5% of Dubai earners?
Save possibly the LAST natural, untampered part of Dubai that exists!

Do they really need to take our beach away? It's a place where all types of people can mix and hang out. Beaches should be for all and not just those that want to pay for a beach club membership! Where else can our children stand and watch the fishermen early in the morning before they go to school?
20 years back, Jumeirah beach was the most Beautiful one in UAE, as days passed the beach became smaller and smaller and now on the verge of extinction... Bad... real Bad..
