Please don't develop one of the few natural beauty spots here. Not everyone can afford beach club membership. It's one of the joys of living in Dubai to be able to enjoy some sea and sand with children and visitors.
15 years in Dubai and this really saddens me, some parts should just be left as is, especially this beach which is enjoyed by people from all walks of life, living and passing through. Please don't let it happen
Just have a look on the horrible beaches in Spain (Costa Brava). Dubai is doing the same. Stop the concrete in front of the sea and preserve a little bit of nature.
Dubai talks about wanting to become a tourist hub, an economic powerhouse, and also now a society, a place to stay and live as well as work. But it's becoming privatised to the extent that there are virtually no public spaces left for a society to develop. The beach is a real gem in the city - one that residents and tourists alike enjoy, and a major calling card for the city internationally. It's not dramatic, nostalgist nor reactionary to say its loss is the beginning of the end of Dubai.
Living by jumeirah beach for the last 37 years, I have witnessed all the changes that had happened to the beach - good and bad. Privatizing the beach is neither good or bad; It's just not right - Don't do it!
I support the government's decision, we should develop our economy first and foremost, make more jobs for everyone.
This beach is under utilized as is, and needs to created into resorts, hotels, and apartments in order to add to the economy of Dubai.
Idle Assets do nothing for us.

There are not so many open beaches in Dubai, it isimportant to keep and protect the ones everybodyenjoys. It would also be good to start preservingthe environment...
The government need to respect the people's right to use the beach. In most countries, nobody can own a private beach or block people from using the beach.
What a tragedy - this is a beach for locals and tourists alike. Not everyone can afford to use the private beaches and surely enough of them have been taken over by the glitzy hotels now.
The planners and developers should spend five minutes researching sustainable development. They may be surprised to learn that it's not all about MONEY! There are many other factors to consider - not least the environment. God knows what damage you are causing to nature and wildlife - just because you can't see what damage you're causing immediately doesn't mean it's not happening! Enough is enough.
The last piece of undeveloped beach should not become commercial - all over the world the big cities have public beaches. Why Dubai will go another way????
Lots of peoples like to take picture in this beach in front of the Burj is the best advertising they can bring home and free ! so think.let this little beach like she was .
Couple of years back there was a slogan: "Dubai, the city which cares..." All long gone. And now the last charming and public beach. Greed over lifestyle - Dubai where are we heading?
It's nice to watch people enjoying the beach. It's the only place in Dubai where you can actually see every race interact. I feel like Dubai is pushing people away instead of pulling them in.
It would be an absolute tragedy to lose the only remaining open-access beach available to the man on the street. Dubai cannot keep selling itself as a vacation hub for (amongst other things) watersports enthusiasts when all such locations that offer this have been taken away (think of the late ski club on the Creek). You cannot build a city only for the uber-rich that can afford a house on the Palm with private beach!
A beach is for everyone, they have already ruined Jebel Ali beach all in the name of money through bricks and mortar why do they need to ruin it all? Greed is destroying Dubai.
Beaches and parks are free areas of recreation for a healthy city. We need more parks and PLEASE do not take the few beaches left away from the residents who are making this a great city.
They won't even allow my little dog on the beach, well my little dog, like all of us here in Dubai, have no say when it comes to money and greed. People say there is no crime in Dubai, GREED is a CRIME. Paying workers Dhs600 per month is a CRIME. Get with it Government of Dubai, soon we'll all be gone and there will be nobody to fill your hotels.
What else is there to do in Dubai if government takes away the beach front from residents. Its a money factor, this will force residents to enter beachfronts via hotels.(Where is the freedom and joy?)
I love Dubai for it's sun, for it's see and for it's beach. I feel that this project is very much an indirect invitation to look into alternative destinations. It is such a pity that beatiful stretches of an still unspoiled coast - which many other countries would love to have - are going to be damaged...Is this the way Dubai wants to set it's future?
Another greedy money grabbing Dubai decision. There is no hope against a one track minded government, screw us all "they" say! The loss of these beaches will be a tragedy for Dubai, people working here need these beaches for relaxation. There are already no parks, city planning is up the pole, Dubai is one big concrete jungle.
